Of course Obama hates any ad that exposes the real Obama. Wait until the new book "Obama Nation" hits the bookstores in a couple days, he's really going to have a stroke over what's in it exposing his past.

I lestened to Senator McCain's chief campaign person, and one could tell that he was just not being truthful in his statements. We as American citizens are tired of the games being played. We want answers to our questions and to know what each candidate will do to help the people of this great nation. I could care less about Ms Spears or Ms Hliton. What about Senator McCain receiving over one million dollars from the oil industry in June, after coming out for off-shore drilling. This is a policy he had been against. These are the things that we are Americans are interested in, not the race card or celebrity standing. This nation has to many problems for such foolish. This is way we need a change and send all those in office now home and start all over again with a new group.

Oh how Mr. Obama wishes that Mr. McCain would stop speaking the truth. Unlike Karl Rove, who created his own “truth”, there is real truth in what the “celebrity” ad says. The mainstream media has convinced voters that there is substance to Mr. Obama. After hearing this tired chant for so many months, even Mr. Obama and his supporters believe it!

Sadly, for America, we have lowered our standards so much that we view celebrities, with nothing more to offer than the simple fact of their celebrity, as leaders. Mr. Obama is nothing more than an empty suit, masquerading as a celebrity, masquerading as a politician, masquerading as a potential leader. There is absolutely no substance to Mr. Obama and his pop-culture popularity is hardly enough to qualify him for the most important job in the world.

It is such a shame that John McCain is a bigger racist than the current administration which still lovingly has Karl Rove as a member emeritus. The hatred that has spewed out of the Republican White Neo-Con / White Evangelical Jerry Falwell Party is so obvious now, I cannot believe that real honest American's would even consider this Clown nor his party.

I don't know if they are worse but both Rove and McCain like the low dirty slimy road.

I am so tired of Republicans attacking americans that don't like millionaires, huge deficits and gov't growth. How can they label the left as big gov't when the Republicans have been the ones to grow the spending and departments>

Obama should be careful with his words because mcCain knows that he will loss this election to a better candidate and the only way for him to win is to make obama to flip-flop with his words and he should still use the strategy that he used against hillary which is let his oponent distroy themselfs with their own words of judgement ; while he just stand firm on what he believes and present his good resume to the american people without been distracted

We have watched John McCain hold his breath and stomp his feet for the past month because he didn't feel he was getting enough attention from the press after being the 'media darling' for the past 10 years (since he started running for president).

McCain's lack of self control and his inability to control his rage has been useful as a means to intimidate any body who didn't agree with him. The ANGRY ONE believes he is the one with all the answers and I understand some of his colleagues have nicknamed him MADDOG.
I think John McCain is going to be one surprised dude when he learns that Obama will bite back!

The television ad in question compares Obama's celebrity status to that of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, and questions whether the Illinois senator is "ready to lead." Obama dismissed the ad as "game playing" Thursday while McCain said he was "proud of it.
*********************************

From another perspective, McCain, with this add, leaves himself open to the charge of demeaning these two women and sexist discrimination on his part.

the site should be FREE of political advertisement. To see a big ad for Obama in the right side margin is hypocritical of CNN. All Time Warner related companies are biased - it's very easy to see. Look at the pictures in Time magazine over the past year.

I am so ashamed of currently being a registered Republican. I am still waiting to hear some intelligent, realistic solutions from McCain on the serious issues the American people and our country are facing. The Republicans have really gone down hill...and I have no idea what they stand for anymore. Taking away Americans' civil liberties? Corruption in Washington? Record profits for corporations? Taking away women's right of choice?

I will be voting for other than McCain this year.

Alot of this mess that the media are talking about aren't doing anything about the prices we are paying. We went to war being feed this crap and now we are going to the poor house .Ask them about the issues and lets judge them by that.

I still don't understand what the point of the "Celeb" ad or the "BarackBook" web site. The references are terribly dated by pop culture standards and the attempt comes off as bitterly jealous.

McCain may have a point about Obama's empty rhetoric and inexperience. I just feel like this is an insulting desperate attempt to make a point. It may be "funny" to McCain and his staff but I'm a real person with real problems I'd like to have solved.

John mcCain should bow his head in shame because he is playing a judgement politics against his opponet and He should learn from hilary clintins mistakes so that he will not fall like her because hillary lost the ticket not because she was a bad candidate but because playing a judgement politics against his opponet and did not spend more time talking about herself and what she want to do for the american people as president of the united states but spent more time and money saying bad things about her opponent and forgetting what the holy book says that judge not so that you will not be judged yourself and that is why hillary lost the democratic ticket to obama and if john mcCain continues judgement politics of his his opponet,he will loss the presidency to obama.

They say it because it's true. This is direct attacks on non-issues about Obama. Especially when all the facts prove McCain wrong. Obama was rated higher than McCain by veterans groups. And Obama is choosing to adopt an Apollo-esque mission to solve the energy crisis while McCain choses to adopt gimmicks.

Talk about nasty tactics, how about Obama playing the race card again. Just like he did so many times in the primary.

And what about charges against Sen. Ted Stevens for unreported gifts. Why isn't Obama being prosecuted on the same charges after his underhanded real estate dealings with Rezko and the fact that Rezko personally paid for the fence around the Obama mansion? Why is Obama above the law and political scrutiny? Is the press afraid that Obama will play the race card on them?

The American media has long hidden from the public the astonishing fact that as a long term US Senator, John McCain has only a rudimentary understanding of both domestic and national security issues. His petulant, spoiled child disposition makes him un- presidential. He is a reckless individual. A vote for him is a reckless, irresponsible vote. This concerted racist campaign he has now decided to run demonstrates he has no decency. In the last week, he has made it perfectly clear that his campaign is based on the rebirth of Jim Crow era politics. The incessant comments that Senator Obama is presumptuous, arrogant and/or cocky are all code words for he is an uppity Negro who can’t be trusted to know his place. Along with the constant red security alerts, which the Bush administration will start up within the next month, it wouldn’t be surprising for McCain-Bush to propose a national poll tax before the November election. America is struggling after 16 years of Clinton and Bush. McCain would be the final nail in America’s coffin.

OMG not again McCain needs to STOP talking about Obama.
He need to fire his entire campaign staff and start over with all new people. This has "Rove" written all over.
The good news is...I got that email today from Barack and I sent him another $100.
McCain, if you have a platform it is past time you tell us what it is and stop hiding behind juvenile name calling.
Grow up old man!

I have always admired and respected John McCain despite the fact that I am a democrat and will be voting for Obama. I have to tell you though, that John is not the man I thought he was. I no longer like him let alone respect him. I never though he would stoop to sleazy Bush style personal attacks and then say that he is proud of them. God held us if he wins the White House.

Dirty, low down politics, thats all the Republicans know. Especially if they really don't have a solid platform on which to base a campaign on, they resort to these type of dirty tactics. No vision, no goals, no aspirations, nothing tangible that one might be able to grab onto.just below the belt, fear mongering tactics.

This same type of tactics have been purt forth by the Republican Party for decadeds. And the sad part is that it appears to appeal to a baser side of some of us. In particular the ones that approve of this sort of nonsense. That in itself is pathetic. And unless we send a message that this kind of campaigning will not be tolerated, we will continue to be bombarded with meaningless ads like this one that in no way addresses the issues facing this country today. And then to hear McCain say he was proud of that ad, sickened me. And this is the guy people want to place their faith in. Someone who uses weasel tactics like this??

If he gets elected, then we'll deserve everything that panderer is going to do to us, just like GW.

It's like the people in this country have a death wish or a desire to self-destruct. People are pitiful.

John McCain wears $550 Italian shoes and calls Obama out of touch, wants us to stay in Iraq for 100 years, knows nothing about the economy, runs distasteful/offensive ads that clearly indicate he WILL do anything to get elected. Aren't we tired of all this? Let's move on. No more of the same McCain!

If people want change and if democrats want to win- then, pray tell did you choose, select and install Obama as nominee?

The least qualified of ALL the great DEMS candidates.

And why would you trash HRC out of the running just to risk losing the all-important election by installing Obama as the nominee?

Pandering to 12% of the American population- thinking that NO democrat could lose this NOV, anyway, so why not be politically correct and back the presumptuous, grabbing for power, unaccomplished- but half black- unkown do nothing blow hard.

It is sad when the race has sunk to this point. It is amazing that with housing problems, gas prices, energy problems, the economy, joblessness, etc. and McCain has to feature Obama with Spears and Hilton in an ad that doesn't make any sense.

Is there anyone more disturbing to look at than Karl Rove? We knew the republicans would use attack ads though McCain said he wouldn't. I want to know what the distraction issue will be this time. In 2004, it was gay marriage. Everyone forgot about the issues, and voted for the folks who said gay marriage wouldn't happen on their watch. It's happening now in California. Bush couldn't even deliver on a hate based promise. Pathetic.

When is the last time McCain talked about anything of substance? Instead of attacking his opponent, how about he tell us as young Republicans how he plans to keep Social Security alive long enough for us to benefit from it, keep gas in our tanks, and keep food in our children's mouths and our jobs in this country?

I don't want to hear about what Obama ate for lunch. I want to hear about what the man I plan to vote for plans to do for me. If this is all McCain has then he will lose my vote.

McCain is just another lying career politician. Attack, attack attack. So much for an honest campaign. Nasty is NOT going to get it McCain. I figured out you cannot talk about anything else, except Iraq (which you do not seem to know as much as you pretend), and Obama. Because you don't know much of anything else. What did you do those 26 years in the Senate??

This is exactly why we don't want a a gumpy old man,( who says he is pround of the ad) to stand on the stage. He is insulting the young blonde females who are also part of the American population. I guess insulting people who haven't done any thing to him icomes naturally and easy to hims as he wants to go war with people haven't done any thing to America. That must be the patriotism he is talking about.
A looser who is pround of this ad?. This frustrated grumpy angry man is showing American young stars as Dummies to the world.
Oh. God. We don't want a leader like that.

I just want to say that as soon as this posts I am writing a check to contribute to the Democratic Party.

It's been more than 30 years since I contributed to any political campaign, and I've concluded that defeating the Republicans in November is the single most important thing our nation can do -- and if we fail to throw the bastards out this time, we will not be a nation long enough to have another chance.

Its really a sad day when someone like Senator John McCains campaign is so much of a mess that apparently the Senator does not get it through his head that people do not take hime seriously anymore and like a old dog, time for greener pastures. If this the best McCain could do because more people are seeing thru that he is worn out and his campaign and message no longer revelevate and now the Esteem Senator is throwing mud and making false accusations against Senator Obama which he knows better than that. With his 25plus years in Washigton perhaps maybe McCain must be scare that he could no longer inspire people and maybe should take a look at himself for what a fool he has become recently and people are laughing at these commercials of McCains.
