Obama campaign launches 'Low Road Express' Web site

The Obama campaign launched a new Web site Thursday.
The Obama campaign launched a new Web site Thursday.

(CNN) – A day after the Obama campaign released an advertisement entitled “Low Road,” the presumptive Democratic nominee’s camp is following up with the Web site “Low Road Express.”

The new site collects media coverage – editorials, fact check articles, and video clips - about the strategies and tactics of Sen. John McCain’s campaign in recent weeks.

The Republican National Committee recently launched two Web sites focused on Obama. On Wednesday, the RNC rolled out “Audacity Watch,” a Web site that collects together video clips of media coverage about Obama and an RSS feed of information from GOP.com. Earlier this week, the RNC also launched “BarackBook,” a site that parodies Facebook, a popular social networking Web site where Obama has amassed more than a million supporters.

The Obama and McCain campaigns have traded fire this week as McCain released an ad entitled “Celeb” that likened Obama’s public notoriety with that of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. The Obama campaign quickly responded with the “Low Road” advertisement.

UPDATE: McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds issued the following statement about the Obama campaign's "Low Road Express" Web site: “Barack Obama’s campaign created his global celebrity status - we are celebrating it and informing voters of his inexperience. If there’s a low road in this campaign, Obama’s campaign paved it when they launched the first negative attack ad in this election.”

If McCain is able to focus everything on Obama, than Obama will lose (so would everybody; nothing can stand up to that). McCain's campaign is being run by fools who would run the Republican Party into the ground. He accuses Obama of being able to lose a war to win an election, while he is willing to sacrifice his party's good name to win an election.

THE WORLD IS WATCHING... if McCain is elected, the intelligence of the American people will be about as respected as Iran.

I can't beleive that this is the level of debate.

McCain is handing everyone material for comedy routines.

(Which will result in my comment being moderated.)

I guess truth hurts Mr. Obama.

For the past 12 months you have acted and campaigned as thought you are a rock star, now you are
upset that you are compared to celebrities?

You are only a celebrity and not a leader.

Too bad get over it, whiner.

I always worry about the guys that run against the other guy instead of own their own ideas and merits...enough said!

Bush ran against Gore and against Kerry...now McBush hired all the cronies from team Bush and is running the same gutterball ads.

Vote on hope and not on fear this time America.

We are better than this negative stuff. The office of most powerful person in the world is above this level too. Let's respect the office and elect a person that respects our intelligence and doesn't run his entire strategy on fear of the other candidate.

Instead of making different web sites everyday, why doesn't Obama spend his time doing a debate with McCain? Is he afraid to make answer questions that have not been preprinted for him?

McShame, don't think that Obama and his campaign is going to sit back and let you and the RNC railroad him. And you call yourself a Maverick........please. I bet you wish now that you could have run against Hillary. You see, you underestimated Obama just like Hillary did. You thought that he was just this Jr. Senator nobody knew. You thought that since you are well-known it would be a breeze for you and the Rovian Dog Gang. You know now....so now you and the RDG has to pull out the negative stops to stop Obama's fame from the whites, blacks, browns, yellows, old, young, the good, the bad, the ugly, the short, the tall, the long.......well, you get the drift.

You thought that Obama was going to take on your request to have a debate once a week for 10 weeks. You see, Obama doesn't answer to your call when you want it and how and when you want it. He will debate you, Senator; It just won't be on YOUR and the Rovian Dog Gangs terms. Obama is not stupid and neither is his supporters.

When Obama does debate you, Senator, well......you're find out.

Obama's success is due largely to his campaign's ability to leverage the internet. He refuses to participate in debates, because he cannot think on his feet. This website is just another way for him to try and get info out without actually having to discuss it.

We do not need a President unable to conduct daily business without a website and cue cards telling him what to say and do.
