Obama campaign launches 'Low Road Express' Web site

The Obama campaign launched a new Web site Thursday.
The Obama campaign launched a new Web site Thursday.

(CNN) – A day after the Obama campaign released an advertisement entitled “Low Road,” the presumptive Democratic nominee’s camp is following up with the Web site “Low Road Express.”

The new site collects media coverage – editorials, fact check articles, and video clips - about the strategies and tactics of Sen. John McCain’s campaign in recent weeks.

The Republican National Committee recently launched two Web sites focused on Obama. On Wednesday, the RNC rolled out “Audacity Watch,” a Web site that collects together video clips of media coverage about Obama and an RSS feed of information from GOP.com. Earlier this week, the RNC also launched “BarackBook,” a site that parodies Facebook, a popular social networking Web site where Obama has amassed more than a million supporters.

The Obama and McCain campaigns have traded fire this week as McCain released an ad entitled “Celeb” that likened Obama’s public notoriety with that of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. The Obama campaign quickly responded with the “Low Road” advertisement.

UPDATE: McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds issued the following statement about the Obama campaign's "Low Road Express" Web site: “Barack Obama’s campaign created his global celebrity status - we are celebrating it and informing voters of his inexperience. If there’s a low road in this campaign, Obama’s campaign paved it when they launched the first negative attack ad in this election.”

...you'd think we'd been having a serious debate. But so far all we've been hearing about is Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, Obama says.

This makes the primaries between Barrack and Hilary look like Child's play. The repubs truly won't go out the door without a fight. Can't wait to get them out.

"Exxon Mobil reported second-quarter earnings of $11.68 billion Thursday, the biggest quarterly profit ever by any U.S. corporation"

I thought we had an energy crisis going on here? Or is it just everyone but the oil companies? Oh yea, everyone but the oil companies and the REPUBLICANS whom are trying to give them MORE land to NOT drill on. McCain and his oil partners are screwing every american citizen.

McCain said about the Paris Hilton & Britney Spears commercial "We're proud of that commercial,"

Now that is the kind of swurvy straight talk McCain was talking about?

McCain's campaign has hit a new low. We have already seen this old movie in the 2004 Campaign. Same old, same old!

I am very disappointed in McCain. Imagine, I used to like him!

Have you ever seen such childishness and pettiness as being thrown around by McCain.
Good for Obama's staff for not taking it lying down like Kerry did.
At least he Low Road Express has actual quotes from newspapers.

It doesn't invent stuff like McCain's telling people that the oil crises is Obama's fault. Rubbish . Now, the GOP is using 'celebrity' like it is a dirty word ( remember the GOP made Liberal a dirty word.)..

Frankly I think it would be great if our President once again could be admired like Kennedy was. We have been hated so long we forget what it might be like to bring a positive image to others on this small globe of a world.

Sadly those who don't take time to really listen belive all this rancor.. And we might just get another Bush term after all.

Isn't it the low road to talk about how your competition is in the gutter and taking the low road?

All around this election season leaves me feeling dirty...

We saw it coming and it's now here. I had expected what's going on but I never expected McCain to go this low. That's why George Bush gave it to him hard in the 200 election and I am glad Obama is not laying low on it either. It's going to get uglier but I am sure we will get through it.

What I couldn't belive though is the fact that McCain as old as he is can be this childish. It's no suprise I've always beleived that age has nothing to do with experience neither does experience have anything to do with wisdom. He is an old man that didn't learn from what he went through with George Bush and will never learn until his poll goes up in flames.

I can't believe that John McCain is using Karl Rove tactics. Rove is so good at presenting 25% of the facts and leaving you to drawer the in correct conclusion. I am a republican but the last Republican I voted for the President's father. Since then the republicans have relied on mis-infomation campaigns to gain public office. Everyone makes mistakes and the democrats have made theirs but they were mistakes. I feel the republicans motto since the mid 1990s is that the ends totally justify any means necessary. McCain's comments are 2 dimentional when today's problems are muti facited. I hope the campain gets back to the issues but I will vote democrat again because of these type of tactics. By the by wasn't it Rove that derailed McCain in 2000?

I have found the ads released by the McCain camp to be disgusting. It's sad the a tired, old, angry, man has finally lost any dignity he possessed when this campaign began, and it's even more unsettling that the Obama camp have to resort to the Low Road Express in defence against the petty, untrue, and demeaning ads the McCain camp have created. ABout time...The problem with Democrates throughtout the years is not fighting back or getting out in front. When you are dealing with nothing more than school yard bullys as the Republicans are you have to take them on and or attact first. Go get them.....Remember your South Side roots Mr; Obama...I am white and lived at 31st and Michigan and that is a whole nother world and it is a tough world and you have to get the jump to survive. To bad that the Obama campaign had to resort to this site just to offset the smear fear Rovian campaign that McLame and company is now running. I can only guess that the two repugs sites gave them little choice.
To bad that the "Bible & Gun Club of the Ozarks" crowd that this is aimed at will never visit it – they will be to busy visiting the McLame/RNC sites set up just to trash Obama. I can hear their "YeeHaws" from here...

No one is better than the other. They are both equal opportunity opportunists. I thought taking the high road was to transcend any negativity. Putting this energy, this vibration on the planet shows that they'll do anything to win. What a bunch of marlarkey on both ends. Low road. Is this where Obama spends all of his campaign money?

I'm still surprise that McCain knew who Paris and Britney were. It almost shows knowledge of the Internet.

The John McCain we use to know...fallen by the waistside. Unfortunately, McCain has chosen to listen to his Republican counterparts, and it is taking him down that ROAD OF NO RETURN.

They have convinced him that Negative Attack's do work (look at past Elections)

Fortunately, American's have expressed the fact that-OUR COUNTRY
NEEDS A POSITIVE DIRECTION OF GETTING THROUGH ALL THE HARDSHIPS WE NOW FACE.

    NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNS=NEGATIVE GOVERNMENT

AMERICA NEEDS NO MORE OF THE SAME!
