Let's see we have 700 billion dollars going out of the country for oil. Approximately 300 billion going out to the Chinese. It's not going to take much for this country at this rate to be dirt poor. The Democrats have control of Congress since 2006 and done didley squat.
Now we get Obama elected, we are really in trouble.
America wake up, vote out all incumbants. Once a politician gets elected, he/she feels safe and does whatever he/she pleases. We have some real loosers in Congress and most believe it or not are Democrats.

American should be more worried about the future than the current debt. Just a few days ago I even heard American school system are cutting back to compensate for the higher fuel costs, education for god sakes. When a country sacrafice its education for a few more miles in their SUVs you'd be very worried abotu its future. While Americans are considering reducing the average school week from 5 to 4 days, China and India are investing billions in building new schools and are effectively running on 7 day school week.

In 20 years, when the education investment in China and India pays off, America will be fliping burgers while even F22s need to be manufatured in China.

The Chinese, and most East Asians, seem to have little tolerance for social parasitism, personal moral abdication, and out-and-out degenerate behavior.

Since the current Western political order seems to actually encourage the above, maybe a world run by the Chinese wouldn't be so bad. OK, so the environment would be ruined within a century, but maybe with the aforementioned social pathologies done away with, we could actually get down to the business of colonizing other planets. (Just doing a bit of long-term thinking here, like the Chinese.)

If he or anyone on that matter wouldv'e stand up to China or whatever, I personally believe it will decrease our diplomacy with China. I don't want that from our athletes most importantly, especially China because they have BIG population of NBA fans and if anyone in the team wouldv'e stood up, I wouldv'e been very disappointing.. China is not an economic threat to the U.S. Yes, a lot of stuff are Made in China. But if you look carefully, the brands are American, European, or Japanese. The Chinese own very few brands. These companies can move the factories out of China any time they want. If you buy a Dell or HP computer that is Made in China, you are buying a product with components from all over the world.

Right now, countries are all linked together economically. Any attemp to break the economic bond between the U.S. and China will hurt BOTH countries badly.

I think China will not be a big topic in this election. Both McCain and Obama are smart enough to realize there is a mutual beneficial relationship between the U.S. and China.

From Cole Haan, Coach, Calvin Klein to Nine West and Guess. We carry tons of different shoe vendors and very few are made outside of China. LADIES, LOOK IN YOUR CLOSET. Look China is building an army becuase they know the dollar is losing value and we are deep in debt to them. They know our greedy oil companies using Bush have placed us in a vulnerable position. They will become our biggest competitor in the purchasing of oil. Where are we going to get the money to compete. What are our politicians doing about this dangerous situation? They are clammering for more energy saving devices to eliminate our depence on foreign oil. Nothing could please China more!! it would be hard to fight a war(and it will come) with wind blown army tanks and energy saving light bulbs. Once China controls world wide oil markets, look out! CNN – this isn't anything new. The US in its rush to "Globalize" the economy, has invested billions of dollars in China, which in 1999 was an "emerging" country.

We (the US) complain about its "human rights" violations, but yet still shifted our economic focus there. The olympic committee gave them the Olympics (over a US city BTW).

Wal-Mart, back in the day used to push its "buy American" theme, now everything on the shelf is made in China.

They continue to make products that can kill us and we continue to buy it.

Can't really blame this on Republicans, but China came out of an emerging company during President Bush's term...........hmmm........

BTW – they are a Communist country, but we did business as usual with them.
