Hillary Clinton to campaign for Obama

Sen. Clinton will campaign for her former rival in two states this month, according to the Obama campaign.

(CNN) –
Hillary Clinton will campaign for Barack Obama on two dates in August, the Obama campaign announced Tuesday.

She will hold rallies and voter registration drives in the swing states of Nevada and Florida on August 8 and 21, respectively. Obama won’t attend Friday’s event since he is taking a planned vacation with his family - and it’s not yet clear whether he’ll be at the latter date, which falls just days before the Democratic convention in Denver.

The last time Obama and Clinton were seen together was at a New York fundraiser on July 10, when she told donors, “I’m going to do everything I can and everything I’m asked to make sure he takes the oath of office on January 20th, 2009.”

That fundraiser was one of three the pair have held since Clinton suspended her campaign in early June, and just their second public appearance together.

Obama has said on several occasions that he hopes for both Bill and Hillary Clinton’s help campaigning to win in November.

“I am proud to call [Hillary] my friend, and I know that I desperately need her and Bill Clinton involved in this campaign,” Obama said in New York.

I'm sure that this will open up the floodgates for the repugs calling themselves pumA's-Any story on Senator Clinton brings them out in droves- but this time we are ready and this time America is desperate for CHANGE. McSame offers nothing but negative ads against Obama(what is he for?) and the so-called pumA's offer immaturity, self-indulgence and unrealistic views of the Democratic process–at the expense of the Nation,
YES, WE CAN! No, they CAN'T.

We welcome HIllary's participation in presenting the case for Barack Obama. While the McCain side is issuing little else but distortion, distraction and dishonesty, "it takes a village" to respond with truth, focus and clarity. I believe Hillary's remarkable talent will make a huge difference for Obama in Nevada and Florida.

Wow, no comments from the peanut gallery of Obama haters just yet eh? Well, that's good. Even Hillary knows it's more important than her or Obama. We MUST keep McMemoryloss out of the Whitehouse at all costs, if you PUMA idiots and those who hate Obama for false reasons hidden behind your real racism have any sense of someone other than your candidate who lost, you will join with us and teach the Repugnicans a lesson about screwing up our country for the past 7 years. If you can't see past your blind hate, that's on you but Hillary is going to campaign for Obama, what say you do the same. Hmmm?

I've been wondering where the Clintons were. I'm glad to hear that they are going to help the Democratic Party secure the White House in November. It's time to put the petty bickering away and concentrate on November. Do you people really want John McCain to be our next President? Or is it bitterness talking. Please rally around Sen. Obama and help us win the White House. It's so important for all of us if we want this country and our government to change. We need unity.

Love Bill, Hillary not so much. Hope she makes amends for her scortched Earth policy from the Spring. No more need for her to give McChenney and friends ideas.

Isn't this something she said, oh, one, two weeks ago? And after Bill's comments yesterday to that reporter, out of the blue "I am not a racist, etc., etc.," and "I won't say any more about it until after the election", IMO anything that he says now in support of Obama is empty about sore losers!

I wish CNN would quit having these posts. You can read the posts from yesterday or a week or month ago they are all the same. The same stupid people without anything worthwhile to say just venting their biased and descriminatory diatribe. Why can't you people come up with an original thought. You all gag me.

The old gray mair is at it again. The only trial she needs to be on is being a pack mule for a hunting outfitter in the rockies while hunting wild game. If she does good they might turn her out to pasture so she can grow old and feeble.

Love you Hillary August 5th, 2008 1:15 pm ET

    Please do not do it.

Obama, Michelle and his other hateful supporters disrespected and trashed you.

They do not deserve your help.

Your helping him send the WRONG message: that intra-party hatred and insults against fellow democrats are acceptable.

They swiftboated you and THAT is NOT acceptable to true democrats.

Opps, scratch that.. spoke too soon..

Obama did NOT swiftboat or disrespect Hillary so stop the sob story and lies. It's true we Obama supporters got on her in the heat of the primaries but it went BOTH ways, Hillary supporters gave as much as they got from us so don't try to play the wounded doe because it's a lie and it makes you look like McStain..

Wow, with the way the Clintons treated Sen. Obama; he's a bigger man than I am to call her a friend. She'll help with a few loser supporters, but since the Clinton klan were mostly anti black voters; I don't think she'll be much help to him.

Yeah, you desperately need them. You can't win without CLINTONS.
Too bad you treated them so disrespectfully throughout the Primaries to the point wher they owe you NOTHING.

I can only hope that this will eventually calm down the movement by Clinton supporters to vote for McCain out of spite of their woman losing. It's sad and it establishes the tone for democratic fragmentation. This sense of super-attachment to a candidate is what is creating rifts within both parties and will eventually undo parties, for better or worse.

Come on Hillary, start your campaign back up again as soon as the DNC decides they will give Michigan and Florida full delegate counts. Then make sure your name is placed in nomination! You can pull this off yet.

We NEED you. America NEEDS you!

Hillary's fans don't listen to anybody–even her. They want what they want and they will accept nothing else. Perhaps some of that is because they don't really believe Hillary, as I don't believe her either. For someone saying they will do anything to help Obama get elected, she's sure quiet.

I don't think Obama should trust Hillary.

I'm betting she will really work to undermine Obama. Her only chance to ever be President is if Obama looses and she can run again in 2012 and say I told you so. I should have been the 08 choice, not Obama.

If Obama wins he runs again in 2012. By 2016 Hilliary will be too old. She knows she will be too old because she can see that her own party believes McCain is too old. She will be too old and her party will cast her aside. Her only hope to ever be President is if Obama does not win in 08.

    McCain in 08!!!!!!

Watch out for McCain and his "Phony Talk Express". It you are not worth more than $250,000 they will run right over you without even swerving.

    Thank you Hillary.
