I guess you want to conveniently forget that the Republicans had control of the White House AND Congress for six years. The Dems have has control of the House of Representatives, with virtually a split Senate for a year and a half. With Bush's veto power, they can accomplish basically nothing.

But you are right to a degree, that the Dems have not done as well as they could have so far. Without a better climate of bi-partisanship in Washington, little will be accomplished and our country will suffer.
