Paris Hilton fires back at McCain's "Celeb" ad

Watch Paris Hilton’s message for McCain

(CNN) - Paris Hilton has fired back in response to presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain's "Celeb" ad comparing the 27-year-old heiress to Barack Obama.

The less-than-two-minute spot was paid for by the comedy video Web site, It features Hilton sprawling in a lounge chair in a swimsuit. The socialite mocks McCain's ad, saying, "I want America to know that I'm, like, totally ready to lead."

What are Hilton's thoughts on energy policy? She says her position is a "hybrid" of Obama and McCain's. "Energy crisis solved," the heiress declares.

Hilton, who's built a career out of being a celebrity, also reveals her pick for vice president and plans while in office. "I'm thinking Rihanna. I'll see you at the White House. Oh, and I might paint it pink. I hope that's cool with you guys," she says.

"I'm Paris Hilton and I approve this message because I think it's totally hot."

The McCain camp responded to Hilton's ad Tuesday. "It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain's 'all of the above' approach to America's energy crisis – including both alternatives and drilling. Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan," says McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

In response to don kinstler – you should go research what a TelePrompTer is? You should read for yourself and not just accept what the McCain campaign tells you. It is a display device that prompts the person speaking with an electronic visual of a speech. If you knew that, then you'd know that you can't set it up to provide answers to questions, unless you are in an audience where the set up is rigged to ask certain questions.

Go vote for McCain, if he wins, America deserves what it gets. At least Obama is treating the American voters as if they are intelligent. McCain treats them as being dumb.

I think the oval office should be painted pink. Its been bleeding red for years now.

Paris has my vote. Im starting to wonder if maybe she can do a better job than all of the above.

These people need to get their act together, now. I dont think our American Families have the same economic time table as our politicians.

    Vote for for "pink"

You know, this country is in trouble losing jobs, houses, and all else. And the multi-millionaires of this country go around making jokes. I find them offensive,. Glad I switched from republican. They are the party of the rich for the rich.

I want to hear the issues without the tasteless jokes.

Paris has about as much talent and brains as the 125,000 apes they just found. There are some people who walk around without any brains or sense. She qualifies as the leader of the pack.

It is interesting that she can even put 2 thoughts otgether. Talk about a waste of time, effirt and money......

I think Mccains point is made by all the responses her. Who care about the blonde bimbo ....except you guys.

I don't know what Tucker Bounds is smoking, but he is completely wrong on Paris Hilton supporting McCain. She is making the statement that the "white haired guy is endorsing me." I don't think that she currently knows enough about the race to actually make much of a claim on anything except that McCain might be endorsing her for president.

It was a foolish choice to compare any active member of the House or Senate to a clearly question celebrity like her.

    I am really confused:
There are just 2 political parties in the US and none of them offer a clear path to solve Americans problems.
Both parties as well as the many posts I have read try to put the C R A P on the others yard and there is no positive evaluation of what is going on.
Why don't you guys say what would you like to do to solve this Gas Crisis, Drill more, Rule the Market or Drill more which at the long run will take prices down and go for alternative fuels like Alcohol + Gasoline.
Countries like Brasil in the 3rd world use combination called Alco_Nafta which has up to 30% of alcohol, imagine what will that make in the short run to our providers when demand reduces on 30% from the top consumer.
Yes it is true China and India will get the oil produced as excedent, if our business man keep trying to explote people in countries like comunist china and poor India, grab your underwear and read the tab MADE IN CHINA right?
Even our troussers are made there, then we claim that the economy is damaged.
What sort of intelligence we claim.

Its funny how the Republican party mantra is Obama lacks experience, a guy who spent 7-8 years in the Illinois State Senate and 10 years as a CONGRESSIONAL PROFESSOR and a proponent of community outreach programs.

Meanwhile, McSame who has been snoring on the job in the Senate the last 27 years has accomplished oh so much.

Where were all these cries for experience when they jubilantly elected Reagan ? huh ? IDIOTS.

How is this firing back... you folks don't see the genius of this?? The Hilton's are just strengthening what the original ad said. Read between the lines folks, this is a perfect follow up ad in true Paris Hilton style.

    1) She got out what McCain has been saying as far as his plans for energy despite the Obama campaign trying to cloud the issue. She named exactly what McCain has been saying about the drilling and his energy ideas as far as "mixing" the two ideas.

    2) She reached the younger audience who for the time being are behind the rock star... pretty much saying she is as ready as Obama.

    3) She bring the whole original ad back into the mainstream media, and the McCain camp got to respond but didn't bring it up themselves.

Don't think for a second this was a "mock" it was a perfectly planned and executed

Contrary to Shotgun Dick's ordered forgery of CIA document's, to re-cap NO WMD, NO 9/!! link to Iraq and now, No Iraq connection to anthrax! Just a bunch of b.s. manufactured to fight a war for OIL!

The most pathetic part about this story is the fact that McCain's campaign felt it necesary to respond to the "ad" Hilton put on. That campaign keeps on losing my respect more and more each day...

Thank you, John McCain, for bringing Paris Hilton into the political process. There Obama was, bringing in the young and politically disenchanted all over the country, and you, well you just couldn't be outdone...

McCain/Hilton '08!! It's, like, so totally the dream ticket the Republicans have been waiting for all along!

I love how the people who support McCain think this ad is in support of McCain. "CNN stop your biased reporting! This ad SUPPORTS McCain's energy plans!". If this ad was in support of McCain, then why is he called "the oldest celebrity in the world"?

Might want to actually watch the ad before you start commenting about it 🙂

What kind of candidates do you have over there???????
Please, could we have Senator Obama in Germany. He would win come election in a landslide victory. We would be pleased to face the US with Senator McCain as President in a "splendid isolation"
