Paris Hilton fires back at McCain's "Celeb" ad

CNN

Watch Paris Hilton’s message for McCain

(CNN) - Paris Hilton has fired back in response to presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain's "Celeb" ad comparing the 27-year-old heiress to Barack Obama.

The less-than-two-minute spot was paid for by the comedy video Web site, funnyordie.com. It features Hilton sprawling in a lounge chair in a swimsuit. The socialite mocks McCain's ad, saying, "I want America to know that I'm, like, totally ready to lead."

What are Hilton's thoughts on energy policy? She says her position is a "hybrid" of Obama and McCain's. "Energy crisis solved," the heiress declares.

Related: How did Paris Hilton's response come about?

Hilton, who's built a career out of being a celebrity, also reveals her pick for vice president and plans while in office. "I'm thinking Rihanna. I'll see you at the White House. Oh, and I might paint it pink. I hope that's cool with you guys," she says.

"I'm Paris Hilton and I approve this message because I think it's totally hot."

The McCain camp responded to Hilton's ad Tuesday. "It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain's 'all of the above' approach to America's energy crisis – including both alternatives and drilling. Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan," says McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

Oh wait, and now the McInsane crew is STEALING PARIS IDEA!!!! Oh this is rich! Aside from that, John Mcains, AND by extension Paris' plan, if they intend to connect themsleves with it, still is clogged up by the idea that the oil industry has any intention whatsoever of regulating itself or being regulated, MUCH LESS Strictly regulated.

Obama, I found your head. Prescription: Pull it out.

It's obvious that even Paris, the dumb-and-famous-for-no-reason-blonde, can see that we need to do everything possible (if she knew the word 'comprehensive' she might have used it) to get our dependence off from foreign oil and solve the energy crisis. She says it perfectly...why don't we do BOTH!? Hello, that IS McCain's stance!!!

How do we rid ourselves of foreign oil/natural gas? 1) Drill/Pump it ourselves (Drops Oil/Natural Gas Futures now/Secures Oil/Natural Gas later) 2)Build vehicles/plants that use LESS in the first place (Mid-term) 3)Build vehicles/plants that use only renewable/alternative sources (Long-term)

Then, when we are off oil/natural gas because we've already started drilling and don't need it, we can EXPORT it to the world(China/India), raising our GDP/Economy.

It's called COMPREHENSIVE, Obama. Obama's approach? Why drill now? We won't see anything for 10yrs? Hey, why save for retirement now, we won't see anything for 10yrs either.

Bush removed the executive block for drilling off-shore. Just doing that made Oil futures plummet 20 straight days in a row now. Why? Because the potential for higher supplies of Oil just went up because a roadblock has been removed. Drilling now would only produce Oil/Gas in 10 years, says Obama. THAT"S THE FUTURE!! That is what drives Oil Futures prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More oil supply in the future, drives prices now!!!!!

When McCain says that he "was just having fun" with the negative ads about Senator Obama, I want to scream. That is the excuse people make when they "make fun" of persons with disabiliites, visible minorities, etc. It is not funny at all. In fact it isn't intended to be funny, its intended to be insulting and McCain knows that. The man is a sleaze in idiot's clothing.

Hopefully McCain sees how childish he has been and gets back to being a good politician.

"Brobama dot org "covers this sort of stuff in an interesting way too for more discussion. This whole election has become a circus for republican dirty attacks and it needs to be discussed in a way that everyone can relate to...something the popular media can't always do.

I think it's really funny for Paris to laugh at this whole thing and herself. However, i am sorry Obamabots. The McCain commercial is working, painting Obama as just a guy that is famous for pretty much nothing.

McCain should have known that Paris Hilton would respond to the ad. Eventhough I don't care for Paris, I disapprove of the McCain campaign comparing she and Spears to Obama. In case McCain doesn't know; Hilton and Spears are in the entertainment field, while Obama is in the poltical field. Why didn't his ad feature any male actors? Sounds to me as if he is calling all women stupid. But then again, when someone who is running for President runs this type of ad it only tells you about that individuals character. Stupid is as Stupid does.

CNN's Ticker remains "all Obama all the time." Obama articles run 5 to 1 over McCain articles and usually the McCain article is negative.

How are we to trust CNN to deliver the news when it is so baised?

The mentally of the Hiltons & the Obamacans! Paris' mother gets upset about this tape.????? What about the tape that shows Paris with her ankles behind her ears?

Rather a funny ad about Obama than a misleading ad about McCain, the 2 million in oil company donation and voting of tax breaks to the oil moguls.

The Obama camp conveniently failed to mention that Obama also received over $400K in donations from the oil companies and as far as the tax breaks, McCain voted against and Obama voted for!

Quit your whinning, you boo-hoo Obamacans!

Well, yesterday John McCain offered up his second wife, Cindy, to a bunch of redneck bikers as poster child for "Miss Buffalo Chip" –
So, I guess John McCain really will do anything to garner votes.
His disdain for women is so obvious.
Why didn't mainstream news cover this event in full instead of only showing bits and pieces? Cowards!

How STUPID does this make OLD MAN John McCain look.

Jeeez, what a moroon. Whose laughing NOW. I mean, John McCain will NEVER beat Paris Hilton in the Pop Rock circle, she would EAT him up and spit him out. This is a girl who is a master at using the media at her disposal. She's GOOD at it, and I don't think John McCain wants to truly piss off the Hilton family. He can't afford to be "black listed".

To cover up there candidates total lack of experience and judgment, Obama's peeps can only resort to nicknames and derogatory remarks on McCain's age so I guess the ad worked. It has brought attention to Obama in a category that he has nothing.....experience. Many Democrats are now upset we chose a celebrity over substance. Too bad we picked the loser again,.it's like John Kerry all over again but this time we have a racist preacher, an un-patriotic first lady to be, and a flip flopping African American fly by night hack. I suspect many white voters to switch when they see the emperor has no clothes. Blacks will stick with Obama regardless of his policies like they did with the crack smoking Marion Barry. Whites will wake up in time not to make a serious mistake for our country. Draft Hillary at convention....oh I see Obama has now also flipped on the FL and Michigan delegates....how utterly Obama-like! The guy is a schmuck!

ok look, stop the lying, it really is more like Obama's plan...and who really cares exept he is lying again....She specifically said a little oil drilling, with the most forcus on alternative energy...
Mccain is all oil and nuclear.... pls note Obama's plan has been on his website since at least Feb 08, at least tha tis when I found it....
John Mccain had minimal internet presence at the time and only in recent months has update dhis site ot include greel initiatives...When I first saw his commercials i was liek he is stealing Obama's positions..which this is not th efirst he has jumped all on.

McCain is awesome, such a funny guy. The problem with Obama is he doesn't want to upset anyone. He'll flip and flop to make anyone support him, apologize to GERMANY (of all countries) for our mistakes, and even have peaceful talks with Wackajob over in Iran. Barack Hussein Obama Mama will not get to the White House. It's already showing in the polls.
