Paris Hilton fires back at McCain's "Celeb" ad

Watch Paris Hilton’s message for McCain

(CNN) - Paris Hilton has fired back in response to presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain's "Celeb" ad comparing the 27-year-old heiress to Barack Obama.

The less-than-two-minute spot was paid for by the comedy video Web site, It features Hilton sprawling in a lounge chair in a swimsuit. The socialite mocks McCain's ad, saying, "I want America to know that I'm, like, totally ready to lead."

What are Hilton's thoughts on energy policy? She says her position is a "hybrid" of Obama and McCain's. "Energy crisis solved," the heiress declares.

Hilton, who's built a career out of being a celebrity, also reveals her pick for vice president and plans while in office. "I'm thinking Rihanna. I'll see you at the White House. Oh, and I might paint it pink. I hope that's cool with you guys," she says.

"I'm Paris Hilton and I approve this message because I think it's totally hot."

The McCain camp responded to Hilton's ad Tuesday. "It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain's 'all of the above' approach to America's energy crisis – including both alternatives and drilling. Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan," says McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

that's funny. Obama says: World, look at Berlin and now Mrs. Hilton would say: "No, world, look at Paris!"
Oh come on. the once more childish and stupid reaction of the repugs shows something – Paris Hilton would be a better President than McShame ever could be!!!
Come on guys – give Obama your vote when it comes to Election Day.

Look at his positions: He speaks truth and lets facts speak!
and look at McBush: His energy "policy" is just a waist of time. Drilling, drilling, drilling... COME ON! No matter how much we wants to drill, he will get less than 1% (!!!) of the daily used oil. It's just shortterm trash, no plan so far from McSame, what long term policies he plans...
McCain is an old man, and his brain daily needs a check with the McCain air gauge – if there's still a little peace of intelligence into it....

The fact that the McCain campaign actually responded to this ad shows you just how desperate and juvenile they are.

    McCain fit to be President?

    I THINK NOT...

Actually she was critisizing both McCain and Obama and she also thanked McCain, end of story. btw, she looked gorgeous in that ad. but I won't vote for her unless she picks Rihanna as her running mate.

  7. Soldier for OBAMA

The McCain camp didn't even realized what Paris said, or they did and again so easily is parceing words into lie. She is saying OBAMA has the better policy, because in creating a Hybrid until we get advance fuel, we can keep drilling all around McCains ankle and maybe we might get a trickle. It is funny considering that JEB BUSH does not support off shore drilling while Governor of Florida, now he is out of office and George his brother and McCain are for it. IT IS THE BIGGEST GIMMICK and ignorant Americans are buying it. There is over 68 million acreas of on/off shore sites under the control of the Oil Industry and they are NOT DRILLING, because they want to control demands. They want the wells to run dry and American Oil will be ship across the world for huge profits. The IGNORANT Repubs are trying to make a scare about China Drilling off Cuba, baloney, for 27 years John McCain sit in Congress and do nothing, that is not courage nor leadership, nor been a Maverick. John McCain is a Manchurian Candidate and a Facist!

Strangely, I found myself liking Paris Hilton.... I think I would be angry too if I were her. It seems unfair that her image can be used without her permission to express an opinion that may not be hers.

  9. Politically Speaking

To say Paris Hilton has a better energy plan shows that McCain's camp doesn't take Obama seriously. Didn't Hillary make that same mistake?

Has anybody realized that McCain's "Celeb" ad ridicules two prominent female citizens? Despite their mistakes and misfortunes, they are successful entertainers that deserve the respect of someone who seeks to represent them. I think McCain's attack on two women suggests that he is willing to do anything to get elected.

I've seen this clip three times now on TV and each time it doesn't show the beginning where the ad does the part about McCain being old and then the he ready to lead. It shows it on the website... I wonder why?

This girl just craves attention and will take advantage of any oppurtunity..kinda like the people running the Obama campaign. I support Obama, but he is in the mud and I am concerned that he keeps getting off message and changing positions to suit the climate.

While the media (mostly Fox News) attacked Hillary because she was a woman, the Obama campaign did nothing against women. Here comes John McCain attacking two women as being stupid and drags them into politics without their will. Hillary's female supporters must see that the "Celeb" ad is an attack against women.

Pretty good for Paris Hilton – I enjoy a good laugh as much as the next guy, but what I think this really exemplifies is the shallowness, self-centerness, and superficiality of her generation.

The whole reason for the McCain 'attack' or 'negative' ads is because Obama is afraid to debate McCain on the issues. The American public could really have a say in what they feel is important if both of these men would show up at the same town hall meeting. McCain proposed that months ago and Obama accepted 'in spirit' (this guy is increasingly afraid to commit to any statement after the embarrasment over the Surge).

For his people to respond that they made a counter-offer (a debate in the style of the Lincoln-Douglas campaign of 1860, where one guy speaks for an hour, the other guy for an hour and a half, then the first guy for the last half hour...with teleprompters?!?) is just subterfuge.

The real man that Obama is trying to hide is going to be revealed in the coming weeks, so hold onto your pants, because come the morning of November 5th, a lot of young people in this country are gonna be cryin' the blues...but that's OK because the sting of defeat and humiliation builds character... exactly what Obama and the "ME" generation needs.

For John MCcain to use the daugther of one of his donors to deride his running mate tells you how far this man can think. I think America deserves better. An intelligent, and smart president. America, Sean Hanity and Rush Limbaugh make their money by dividing this country. I may not agree with Barack on every issues, but i think we deserve his ability and willingness to comprise to get thinks done. He has demonstrated this time and time again. He is not for ofshore drilling, but will accept a limited drilling, if this includes among others, pushing for higher gas mileage on cars, wind and biofuels among others. That is the leader America deserve.

Lay off the pills maybe youll be able to think clearly aye? AND Obamas idea with the tires is just flat out common sense, if you dont understand that logic, i guess you should stick with mtv.

McCain is not showing the wisdom of his wrinkly, plastic old age. He ought to know better. To actually pick a fight with people (republicans mind you) that have money and have given you maximum campaign financial support is definitly not smart – so now the word is out ......... he hates celebrities.

Who is he gonna target next? michael Jackson? He should check out his own wife – she has a hilton look!

Paris – you go, girl !! Ha, ha – it is funny. She does have talent, and brains, a sense of humor, and lots of money.

Putting her in his had helped Paris, and hurt McCain.

My 17 year old son Jesse said it best, in a disgusted tone of voice:

"This isn't a contest anymore. It's an angry old man yelling at Obama because he is winning."

    I couldn't be happier with that – Obama 2008

Repugs are just too plain arrogant. Hey americans, a survey was done and it came to the limelight that we (americans) are the most illiterate (no wonder we import the brains having none of our own) Am not surprised, the polls prove it often that we'd rather stay in the same position rather than embrace change which the whole world is hinting to us thru BHO's policies. Go Obama!
