Paris Hilton fires back at McCain's "Celeb" ad

CNN

Watch Paris Hilton’s message for McCain

(CNN) - Paris Hilton has fired back in response to presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain's "Celeb" ad comparing the 27-year-old heiress to Barack Obama.

The less-than-two-minute spot was paid for by the comedy video Web site, funnyordie.com. It features Hilton sprawling in a lounge chair in a swimsuit. The socialite mocks McCain's ad, saying, "I want America to know that I'm, like, totally ready to lead."

What are Hilton's thoughts on energy policy? She says her position is a "hybrid" of Obama and McCain's. "Energy crisis solved," the heiress declares.

Hilton, who's built a career out of being a celebrity, also reveals her pick for vice president and plans while in office. "I'm thinking Rihanna. I'll see you at the White House. Oh, and I might paint it pink. I hope that's cool with you guys," she says.

"I'm Paris Hilton and I approve this message because I think it's totally hot."

The McCain camp responded to Hilton's ad Tuesday. "It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain's 'all of the above' approach to America's energy crisis – including both alternatives and drilling. Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan," says McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds.

I saw her response ad. Sad to say, Paris Hilton made more sense than McCain ever has. And this guy wants to be the leader of the country? The country, and it's citizens, deserve better. No thanks, McCain, we don't need you. We'd be better off without you.

McCain's campaign (is McCain really in charge anymore?) wanted to tie Paris and Brittany to Obama ....

What a hoot! When people hear about Paris, all they think of is McCain's silly ad (even McCain's mother said it was silly) –

Who looks more foolish now? It isn't Obama! McCain won't even be able to visit Paris France without reminding us all of his fall into the slimy swamp of Republican politics.

Didn't McCain promise us a campaign based on the issues? Did he forget, change his mind or just lie to us ???

She has a better plan than McCain, that's certain! Leave it to them to make fun of her and then try to embrace her. Hypocrites to the end.

Wow! First McCain uses Paris Hilton, one of the most useless people on the planet, not Paris comes back and proves how incredibly brainless she is. Well stupid attracts stupid.

Tucker needs to pay attention to his own canidates energy policy... I think everyone knows McCain wants unlimited drilling off our coast, he says so everyday. He also wants to build 40 something additional new nuclear plants. Its Obama who has taken the all of the above approach. Tucker needs to get it right.

It's easy to have a better plan than John McCain...because he has never had one. His goal appears to be to "Stick with Big Oil"...Drill, Drill and Drill some more.
Obama is the only one that has a plan to develop another Engergy Source and do away with our need for Oil altogerther. Rather than developing more oil wells for Big Oil to exploit, let any further drilling be a temporary measure while we develop another Energy Souce altogether.
Now that makes sense and will free this country from the grip that foreign Oil countries have had on us for the past 30 years (McCain's bygone do nothing era).

So let me get this straight – McCain uses Paris to trash Obama, then Paris, in a rare show of good taste, manages to turn the situation into something humorous, and McCain comes crawling back and praises her to trash Obama?

Well, I'm not so sure Paris beats Obama in the energy dept, but she sure crushes McCain in the humor election. Which is pretty significant, considering McCain's campaign has been nothing but one big, bad joke.

Paris has a better energy plan than McCain or Obama. Also, the White House totally needs some remodeling–her idea to paint it pink is pure genius. I think it also needs some glitter. Lots of glitter.

I've switched my vote - Paris for President. She makes more sense than that "wrinkly old man" and will probably stand steady on her ideas, unlike Obama.

Paris beats McCain in the taste department AND the energy department. Just like all of McCain's other plans, there are no details to his energy plan whatsoever besides "drill, drill, drill."

No plan on the economy and no plan on health care. But at least he's finally come around to Obama's way of thinking on Iraq and Afghanistan.
