I'm fairly sure this won't get past the CNN moderators, but I'll try anyway [CNN guys note: I regularly post as qrstuv on many blogs.]

Now I read the conservative blogs a bit myself, and I have never seen any of the blog owners or regulars write *anything* suggesting that they thought whites were superior to blacks.

I see it all the time that conservatives get accused of secretly harboring racist thoughts, which are supposedly the "real" reason for opposing some liberal policy or other.

Here's a fact that is likely unknown to CNN regulars: The conservativematch Web site has a set of questions that everyone answers. Among them is "All men are created equal. Do you agree or disagree?" I have looked at a lot of people's answers and saw "disagree" only ONE time.

So many of you bigots hate President Bush and didn't say a peep about this man threatening to kill our actual PRESIDENT, yet you jump on the bandwagon ande scream RACISM when he threatens Obama. This is the exact reason I tore up my democrat voter registration card and re-registered republican. Obama and his "supporters' have just played the race card to death and i'm sick of it. They tell us Hillary supporters to suck it up and realize she lost but then they go on to say that if Obama loses , then it will be Hillarys fault. What a bunch of idiots who have fallen in with this smooth talking race terrorist. Obama will lose and guess what...it will be no one's fault but Obama's and his foul, angry bunch of cult member followers.

Killing someone is not the way to solve probems. Bush seems to think this and McCain is A Bush. If anyone needs a "bullet" it's Bush. "Bullet" meaning... this man needs to be charged for his crimes and locked away.

This is not a laughing matter and I am so happy this person was arrested. Based on our history there is no reason to ever joke about killing a political figure.

Jessie Jackson was so wrong to say what he did about his desire to do bodily harm to Senator Obama, but black on black threats as hateful as they are in no way can compare to the white on black threats. Let's not pretend that racial issues are not the elephant in the room in America. Bad enough that hateful things are posted online about regular Americans who aren't running for President over mundane things. These kind of threats have to be taken very seriously with all of our collective seething frustration and anger in many. God help us all and keep all of our elected officials safe and well.

What I'm failing to understand here is how you people can be so ignorant to believe this kind of thing doesn't happen on a daily basis to people all over the country. In all those instances when reported to police they usually suggest filing for a restraining order. Now I know some of you are going to say this is different because he is a candidate for president of the United States But seriously lets think about it. That in itself would show that there are lives worth more then others which according to our constitution is not true. Just remember all men are created equal, if that were the case why should an incident such as this be treated any different then any normal everyday person. As a long time Obama supporter I would like to take a moment to thank all you who have expressed their concern for his safety even though you support Senator(s) McCain and (Clinton). To judge a person by the color of their skin is simply not acceptable and I won't be polite company by allowing you to make your 'candid' remarks to me anymore. When you say something offensive, I'll respond so that you know that your words and attitude is NOT ok with me.

Why didn't CNN state that President Bush was threatened also? Everywhere else, they mention in their headlines that Bush and Obama were both threatened.

The reality is that there are white supremacists out there, so to make a "joke" like that is crazy. They're definitely going to beef up security.

Hillary will be the first woman President even at her older age after a successful two terms of Obama led change, and his full support and popularity exceeding even Bill's. Hopefully she will earn that support beginning tomorrow.

I attended an event. The metal detector alerted as I walked through with a HUGE bag. There were two secret service men on both sides of the metal detector. NO ONE BOTHERED to ask to check my bag. Needless to say, I was pissed off and could not enjoy the Senator's speech because of the lack of security.

Sad to say, I've been expecting precisely this sort of thing. In fact, I believe that much of the disparity between the polls showing how many are willing to vote Democratic and how many are willing to vote for Obama can be attributed to latent anti-black feelings.
