Clinton supporters to stage '18 Million Voices' march

Sen. Clinton waved at supporters gathered in early June as she announced the suspension of her White House bid.
Sen. Clinton waved at supporters gathered in early June as she announced the suspension of her White House bid.

(CNN) – A grassroots organization of Hillary Clinton supporters has announced plans to march in Denver on the same day the New York senator is set to address her party’s faithful during the Democratic convention there.

The march will take place on August 26 and is being organized by 18 Million Voices Rise Hillary Rise. The march will be accompanied by a festival in downtown Denver and additional coordinated marches across the country on the same day.

Clinton, who garnered approximately 18 million votes in the long Democratic primary fight, is scheduled to speak at the convention on the 88th anniversary of the date American women were granted the right to vote.

Since Clinton announced the formal suspension of her presidential campaign, the Obama campaign has gone to great lengths to promote party unity. Clinton and Obama appeared together at a campaign event in Unity, New Hampshire; the Obama campaign recently announced that New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson will be holding two fund-raising events to help retire Clinton’s campaign debt; and Clinton is scheduled to campaign on Obama’s behalf in key states.

Hillary was and is the best choice for President, I will be writing her name in on election day. I can't vote republican, and I would never vote for Obama, the man is phony through and through, and he has a different position on ever issue daily. It's the one thing I agree with McCain on, Paris HIlton and Obama have about the same amount of substance behind their celebrity!

THIS IS A JOKE. A COMPLETE DISGRACE TO ALL THE WOMEN WHO WORKED AND FOUGHT LONG AND HARD TO GET EQUAL RIGHTS. THEY NEVER WHINED AND CRIED EVERYTIME SOMEONE DISAGREED WITH THEIR OPINIONS AND WANTS, THEY CONTINUED AND EVENTUALLY PROSPERED.

I HOPE THEY ALL BRING $2.00 A PIECE SO THEY CAN PAY OFF HER DEBT TOO. THIS IS GETTING TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!

I guarantee you that there will not be 18 million voices participating in this mess!!!! What a waste of time. You guys would do better in giving no less than a dollar to help her settle her campaign debt!

As usual all the hate filled Obama supporters are out in droves on this site. They cry hope and change, while posting hate and nastiness. What a bunch of hypocrites. The sad thing about them is that other than saying he is for hope and change, these people couldn't tell you how Obama voted on one issue. Ignorance gets them through the day, that and chanting hope and change.
    GO HILLARY!

I hope the camera gets a close-up of everyone of their stupid faces. What morons. Hillary is just eating it up because she thinks she's the second coming of Christ.

Most of my friends are ashamed of supporting the Clintons because they don't practice what they preach. Millions of people have worked and voted for them, and now when it's their turn to work for the Democratic party they are missing in action.

If Hillary shows her stupid face at that rally she will never get support to run for dog catcher. So I hope she does show up, and smile at the cameras for making a fool of herself, but it's not as if she hasn't done that before.

this is pure ignorance and stupidity. Lets not forget Barack received 18 million votes also. She lost period, move on either vote Obama, Mccain or dont vote at all. I am wondering how these people have so much time in their hands, why not channel the time and energy to a charitable cause rather than continue to fight for a candidate that has moved on.

Oh whatever. I don't think there ever were 18 million supporters, as someone else stated, many were operation chaos Republicans...I'm alright with Hillary, it's some of her rabid supporters like the PUMA's and notfallinginline that I am sick of!!! One of the other tickers was that America has seen too much Obama, a very misleading title by the way. I would love for the media to focus more on McCain. Let's see more of the buffalo chips misstatements and gaffes...So, please please focus more on McCain.

It is becoming more and more difficult to respect those of Hillary's supporters who don't seem to understand the concept of moving on. The sad thing is that their actions could have the effect of turning people off the idea of another Clinton campaign. I think I am one of them.

    Finally

Some one standing up against the horrible tactics we all were made to witness throughout this primary season.

NO more meddling in the electoral process by- Oprah, Caroline, Carter, the View, The media, The DNC, Richardson spewing about thrones and entitlements, black pundits threatening a black out of the vote......

Let the people decide- let them vote and count those votes.

    No more rigged nominations

Great, if she collects $2 from each of them, she can get her money back. Her dumb supporters can pay for her dumb decision to continue in a race that was MATHEMATICALLY impossible for her to win. They deserve each other.

The rest of us will be inside the convention, making history with Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee.

If McCain happens to win, unlikely as that may be, the silver lining will be watching him appoint 1 or 2 Supreme Court Justices. It will be exactly what the puma's and the Rise Hillary Rise group deserve. Their candidate lost, and she lost it herself by running a poor campaign with pathetic money management and on top of that, hired some of the most incompetent people available. That does not demonstrate a readiness to be President of anything, and none of the above was caused by Obama or the media. And it wasn't the media or Obama that made her lie about the sniper fire. So, you go girls, get McCain elected........I'll never need an abortion!

IF THOSE SUPPORTERS ARE NOT THERE TO SUPPORT OBAMA, HILLARY SHOULD TELL THEM TO STAY HOME, DO NOT SHOW UP THERE CAUSING PROBLEMS FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

    OLD MCSAME,

AGREE, I AM SURE HILLARY WOULD RATHER THEY HELP HER PAY HER DEBT OFF, INSTEAD OF SHOWING UP AT THE CONVENTION JUST TO MARCH.

    DIAMOND FOR FLORIDA,

AMEN, HOW STUPID THEY WILL LOOK, IF THEY SUPPORT HER SO MUCH WHY DONT THEY PAY OFF HER DEBT.
