The tax cut for the wealthy funded China's growth to American workers detriment. Rather than invest it here they invested in China to build the plants that took away American jobs. Now those same foreign workers who are buying cars are driving up the price of gasoline.

The tax break was a double wammy for American workers. Not only was the capital used to outsource their jobs but now the oil demands by the low wage employees who tooks those jobs is pushing up fuel prices and creating more misery and unemployment.

The wealthy tax break is a job eating ebola virus to the American economy. John McCain thinks this is wonderful.

Everything that is done right now is about "playing politics". John McCain's energy policy is absolute gibberish.

Take nuclear power. Even if we solved the waste disposal problem tomorrow (good luck with that project), nuclear power would still be uncompetitive simply because of cost. The U.S. Energy Information Administration estimates that, even with fossil fuel inflation, coal and natural gas will still be cheaper than nuclear through at least 2015.

Here is the answer to a question the Republican's don't want you asking. The government is not stopping energy companies from building new nuclear plants now, but they aren't doing it. The reason is simple. It is cost-prohibitive.

Somebody needs to brief the Republican nominee about business issues.

The Republicans in this instance aren't the ones guilty of theatrics. Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats' decision to turn off the lights and hit the road is both theatrical and irresponsible. We are in the middle of an energy crisis and it is an issue that demands our leaders' full attention. Whether you agree with the Republicans or the Democrats on energy policy, or like myself believe they're both way off base, it is still something that deserves a timely debate and a proper yes or no vote – not a vague commitment to waste more time arguing about it five weeks from now. Get in there and vote on the thing, guys. Don't go on vacation while the house is burning down.
