Obama says reports of party friction are media creation

Obama said his time off should help ease “Obama fatigue” among voters.
Obama said his time off should help ease “Obama fatigue” among voters.

(CNN) - Barack Obama said Thursday that the controversy over how whether Hillary Clinton’s delegates would be able to vote for her at the Democratic convention in Denver was a media creation — and that he hopes his upcoming vacation helps cure any “Obama fatigue” among voters.

Watch: Obama on the Clintons

“There hasn't been controversy other than what you guys are projecting right now,” he told reporters. Obama described conversations between the two campaigns over convention planning as “seamless.” “It has not been a problem,” he said.

Asked whether he would be content if Clinton’s name were placed into nomination at the convention, he responded “I didn't say that. I said they are working it out, guys.”

Obama also said he hopes his week off to visit family in Hawaii will help address public dissatisfaction reflected in a Pew poll this week that revealed nearly half those surveyed feels they have heard too much news about the presumptive Democratic nominee.

"We are going to correct that this week, hopefully with your help," said Obama.

He pointed to the long primary season as one likely factor. "I can imagine that folks need a break from politics, and they didn't really get one like they normally do," said the Illinois senator. "I think that the majority of people have been fed a constant stream of political chatter."

He added, "I'm sure that having a couple weeks off and enjoying the Olympics is probably what the doctor ordered for everybody."

Are you listening Obamamaniacs? Are you listening to your own candidate? Or do you only care about attacking a woman? So very 'positive' of you... You're really demonstrating Obama's message of 'change...'

After the convention he can say he was in favor of putting her name up at the convention, just like the delegate from MI. and FL he now thinks should count. Wait, if they get full votes and Hillary is put up for nomination would she have more delegates?

Sen. Obama is being smart by centering his vacation time around the Olympics time frame so as to deflect limelight which he does NOT bring on himself. Yes, the media IS responsible for that! Thank you sir for having some respect for your fellow Americans who would rather take some time out to enjoy much needed diversion instead of being consistently subjected to frivolous campaign ads! You should try to keep the media at bay while in Hawaii because those who love to hate you will label you as an arrogant elitist as soon as you utter the word “Aloha”. Be safe!

If Mr. Obama and the O-DNC are so convinced that he will win the nomination, why are they so afraid of Mrs. Clinton’s name being placed into nomination at the convention? Mr. Obama has done little to win Hillary Clinton’s supporters and this is yet another slap in the face to them and is simply another indication that even he knows he does not have the nomination sewn up. Perhaps after he returns from his (inappropriately timed) vacation he will “revise” his position on this issue.

It is. I wake up every morning to watch Amika and Joe scarborough with their hatred filled program in the morning.

Did anyone hear joe this morning bringing Bill Clinton qualification of Obama topic?

Did Andrea Mitchell stop saying Obama is faking the news in Iraq?

Now he is trying to fool himself!! He is well aware he is going down in the polls and that just the slightest nod from Hillary will cause an earthquake among her supporters and they will all run back to her along with tons of those that were paid off to vote for the "One"
Bye Bye Obama, stay on the beach.

    A Message to Sen. Obama and his supporters;

Here's a quote befitting of your whole improbable journey to the US presidency. You've probably heard it before. It's from the great Mahatma Ghandi:

    First they ignore you
    Then they laugh at you
    Then they fight you
    Then you win.
    So be encouraged!

    Dang Straight!

It's the freakin' mainstream media that is the problem. They love controversy and drama which is what you get with Bill and Hillary Clinton. Obama has been in the mainstream media, politically, since December 2007. Once he won Iowa, the mainstream media fell in love...(i.e. with the story of him upsetting Hillary Clinton).

Unfortunately us ordinary Americans have to put up with need for mainstream media to increase its audience, especially since the internet (political blogs and etc) has come out on nowhere to challenge the mainstream media (I sense a bit of irony here).

Hopefully Obama can go on vacation with CNN, FOX NEWS, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC not giving us a day-by-day, play-by-play of Obama's vacation.

There will be plenty of political drama to report on in the next two weeks at both party conventions with the Hillary Clintonites and Ron Paul-bangers causing mayhem.

Of oucrse he did not say that he will be content with Hillary's name on the ballot as he konws that a substantial amount of her delegates will vote for her. he is gettig weaker and weaked as he is an empty suit and his real colors are emerging as the good student he is from the corrupted school of Chicago.

And yes we are tired of this junior and arrogant senator who cares more about his image and how his face will look in one of the bills. I wonder who he thinks he should replace?

You should stay in Hawaii with your family and named yourself the king of Hawaii

Forget it. Obama supporters never listen to their own candidate. They only listen to myths created by the media. They are filled with rage against Hillary because, according to the mdeia, she's responsible for every crime ever committed in the world throughout written history. Their rage makes them deaf to even their own candidate's words.
Obama says 'there is no anomisity between me and Clinton' but all his supporters hear is 'Hillary screwed everything up.' Obama says 'there is no division amongst democrats, it's all created by the media' but all his supporters hear is 'Hillary divided democrats and is bringing down the party with her.'
