Obama’s Hawaiian vacation starts today.
Obama’s Hawaiian vacation starts today.

(CNN) - Barack Obama and his family are on their way to Hawaii aboard the Illinois senator's campaign plane. They'll journey to Oahu, where they will spend several days visiting his extended family.

They've been joined on board by more than a dozen family friends. The section of the plane usually reserved for staff is filled with children under the age of 12.

    Yup,
Taxpayers dollars hard at work. But I guess it is a campaign expense if he shakes someone's hand during his vacation.

It's funny how once the media says the American people are sick and tired of Obama. The first thing he does is go on vacation!! He will do and say anything to win!

Ah, sounds like the average IQ in the staff section just shot up!

Maybe on the flight over, the kids can come up with a response to the McSame smear campaign.

So how do you handle a playground bully when there aren't any adults around?

You bitter people need to grow up or shut up. Calling yourselves Hillary fans. If you are a true Hillary fan, why not join her and support the Dem party. Take back the White House and get this country back on track.

Hillary is not the NOMINATEE get over the maddness and begin to embrace the Dems to victory.

Don't worry about the country while you're there. The medium will carry your message until you get back. Please send postcards with Hawaiian shirts. Sorry I can't join you, gas is $4.39 in LA and the plane fare is kind of steep.

Hope you enjoy it with some Dom P, caviar and tootles !

Hey Belle, don't you ever read a newspaper?

It's McCain who is jetting around on your dime, not Obama.

The Obama campaign is raising all of its money privately. So, Belle, wise up or shut up!

That is so funny. I bet Obamaflies love spending money on Barrack. They don't even care that he is using their money to charter a giant family and friends vacation. Clinton 2012.

Obama going on vacation is more interesting news than McCain anyday. Watch as the media covers his vacation more than they will cover McCain next week. And before you get carried away, it's not Obama asking for it. It's the media following him. I love this guy!!!!

Let's elect the smart guy. Away with the angry guy.

    "Belle..."
Stop already with the "Tax Stuff."
This came out of campaign funds and I don't give a hoot if he spends some of my money doing this. He deserves a break. Remember, John McCain goes back to Arizona almost every weekend to "rest."

Belle I was waiting for someone like you to say something stupid like that. OUR TAX DOLLARS...... PLEASE

We all know where our tax dollars are going and it ain't Obama's family trip.

    ITS IRAQ.

Belle, what makes you think taxpayers paid for the trip? It's his campaign plane, not Air Force One...which by the way, taxpayers do pay for when the president goes on his little campaign fundraising trips.

All of you "it's Clinton or I'm voting for Mccain" folks obviously didn't know or care about her message.

Nancy from Florida...I have no idea why you put the word man in quotes, but based on his two girls, and his desire and efforts to spend quality time with them, it's apparent that he's a good father.
