What's so bad about searching for criminal activity??? It's criminal -activity, and searching for it is American. Decrying it and hiding from it, or trying to flip it means that "conservatives" you must have something to hide. Who is anyone to say how much can be spent to get a message out, or how someone spends their own money?

I find it funny that the liberals always talk about how conservatives want to kill our freedom, yet the liberals are the ones who are constantly telling everyone how to live their lives. Anyone care to research the fact that the Dem's talk about McCain's gas tax plan as a gimmick, yet they were avoiding paying the gas tax while setting up for their convention by filling up vehicles at state fueling sites – why? TO SAVE SOME MONEY. The average american can't get a break on a few bucks a gallon because we NEED the money so badly- yet the elitist liberals in the government think they can skirt the law so they can save a few bucks.

For The Love of God:
You have a point – both conservative AND liberal 527 groups should be held accountable if they break campaign finance law, and the responsibility to indict and prosecute such groups belongs to Congress and the Executive Branch of the federal government. However, since they are both a bunch of do-nothing children who would rather not take any real responsibility, then personally I like to see each side make a stand and take their fight to the other. If we can't hold our own government accountable for upholding the law, then it is up to all of us as individuals and groups to hold each other accountable.
