I don't trust Obama. He's made too many bad decisions. He came on the national political scene just a few short years ago and is naive to think he can change the world. And his wife? I absolutely can't stand her! What a hate loving, misunderstood couple they are. You people that back them, better watch out. You have no idea the harm they will do.

annie   August 10th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

Obama should be ashamed of himself!

Donations were made to his campaign so that he could campaign NOT take his family and friends on a vacation at our expense.

I hope someone looks into Obamas abuse of campaign funds.

And then is Senator Obama coming to Southern Ohio- the most Southern tip as well as Huntington, WVa and Ashland, Ky?

Bob (NC)   August 10th, 2008 8:37 pm ET

I guess the "Celebrity" doesn't need to campaign any longer. After all... he is the Chosen One.

Alice Gentry   August 10th, 2008 8:00 pm ET

Obama's, go away! It will be so nice when you go back to your camp in Chicago.

Allan   August 10th, 2008 7:52 pm ET

I have just one question for you that love Obama, tell one thing that he was done. Please, tell me, so i can also vote for him.

Has Barack Obama started another church other than the Trinity Church of Christ in Chicago, IL, after the Rev. Wright controversy. If so, what church is he attending now? This is important to know before the Democratic Convention starts.

Also, Joe Biden with his strong background would be an excellent Vice President or Secretary for Dept. of Defense from Obama's short list, IF Barack Oboma wins the Democrat nomination the end of August..

Also Hillary Clinton, or Governor Kaine of VA would be very good Vice Presidential candidates, and strong choices to help win the Presendential election in 2009. If Hillary is not chosen from Barack's short list, she might be a good Secretary of Health and Environmental Affairs, with her past health care work in the Senate. J

Just some thoughts. Barack has probably already considered these names very carefully.

These two and their little darlings DON'T belong anywhere near the White House.

They have disgraced what America is all about.

ThePhoenix   August 10th, 2008 7:39 pm ET

Did'nt Obama begin Vacation YET???

obama is the most dangerous man alive   August 10th, 2008 7:09 pm ET

Who cares wher this fool is.

Shannon   August 10th, 2008 7:07 pm ET

While we are struggling with this failing economy, and economy that as senator Obama has done nothing to help, he lounges in the sun in Hawaii. How typical of a rock star.

gary   August 10th, 2008 7:06 pm ET

TAKING VACATIONS WHAT HE DOES THE BEST. HE IS WORST THAN BUSH IN THAT CATAGORY.YOU KNOW WHERE HE WILL BE IF ELECTED.

ran   August 10th, 2008 6:51 pm ET

Once again it should be clear to all who will open there eyes and ears that Obama is the one who will put US on the right path. Just compare his response over the conflict between Georgia and Russia and that of Mcain.

Rob indetroit   August 10th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

The first couple of America look good.

Willy   August 10th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

Is the big liberal media over there making sand castles and getting coconuts for the Obama family? Thanks CNN for keeping us up to date on "the one".

susie   August 10th, 2008 6:25 pm ET

Is he going to visit his other grandma in Kenya? She lives in a shack. Maybe, Obama can give her some of his $4 million and she can buy her own TV.

AMERICA FOR THE TRUTH   August 10th, 2008 6:23 pm ET

Debby, NJ   August 10th, 2008 5:48 pm ET

What a beautiful couple these two are !!
BARACK THE VOTE !!!

David Ward   August 10th, 2008 5:35 pm ET

Could CNN be anymore biased. The man is on vacation and he is still getting more press coverage then John McCain who is out on the Trail. Sad truly sad. What has happen to our nations press.

Griff   August 10th, 2008 5:26 pm ET

Barack Obama! The Guy who grew Hawaii? But who was born on the Moon...

Raymond Duke   August 10th, 2008 5:21 pm ET

McCain might as well try getting some air time while the 'BLACK MESSIAH" is supposedly on vacation. They might give John McCain more time now that it is backfiring on the liberal press and people are tired of them trying to shove this black liberation socialist down our throat.

brian   August 10th, 2008 5:15 pm ET

i am glad he getting rest but when he gets back he needs to to get to work and win in nov OBAMA 08 all the way.

Jill, NY   August 10th, 2008 5:11 pm ET

This election is no longer about the U.S. and its citizens--it's all about Obama which is the way he designed it. This is not a good thing for the country.

Jim, NY   August 10th, 2008 5:08 pm ET

Guess what? The war in Iraq is virtually over as there is agreement on the withdrawal and crude oil prices are on the way down-we don't really need Obama anymore, do we?

Jeremie   August 10th, 2008 5:05 pm ET

I guess the press can take a week off. All they do is follow Obama around and make stuff up about John McCain.

They can make stuff up from home.

G'head, take the week off, email in an imaginary story about something John McCain did 35 years ago that should somehow disqualify him from being President.

Bob   August 10th, 2008 4:59 pm ET

When are you people going to wake up to Obama being a socialist that wants to do nothing but take from workers and give to the welfare society. He has admitted he will raise taxes. He wants to raise taxes on business. Guess what, raise taxes on business they raise their prices. Who loses. We do. The US has the highest corporate income tax in the world. THE HIGHEST. Do you understand that is why jobs are leaving this country. VOTE DEMOCRATIC AND VOTE FOR A RECESSION.

Phyllis/ PA   August 10th, 2008 4:54 pm ET

Yesterday was the first time that I became aware of Obama's birth certificate being an issue. This can be resolved simply by Obama providing it so that it can be proven authentic.

This is one issue that is not like a typical rumor or smear. This is a serious charge and MUST be settled before the convention.

John in Daytona   August 10th, 2008 4:46 pm ET

Obama needs to go enjoy vacation & be quiet for two weeks.

Vig   August 10th, 2008 4:32 pm ET

This guy is such a pollyanna – he smiles so much and has nothing new or substantive to offer. He has done nothing to deserve the Presidency except give speeches – we really don't need another prima donna in the White House. We need Hillary Clinton. Dump Obama.
