Are we Americans not paying attention to "Warrior McCain"? Can't we all see that this man is tasting blood----------the blood of our loved ones who will fight a McCain War (ala Bush War). Isn't it interesting that neither Bush nor McCain will send a majority of their loved ones to fight these conflicts? Do they (McCain/Bush) think America will even be around if these conflicts persist. Other major powers are not afraid of America who is now weakend and beaten down by the greedy, self-interested traitors calling themselves leaders and so-called free-traders. America needs Obama to keep a sound and measured head and controlled rhetoric, for this country can not fight another conflict. We need to rebuild America's weakened areas (trade, military, infrastructures, overall economy).

I am sick to my stomach, for I love this country of ours. We can't let another mental midget back into office.

If Obama would had said this crap about us all being Georgians everyone would have been saying he's not American enough. It's true Obama gets more coverage but it's mostly negative coverage. I can't afford to leave things the same so for me the choice is easy.

What I find amusing in these comments is the unabashed Ageism
that is being displayed by alleged liberals. Clearly if you don't vote
for McCain, you're an anti-elderly bigot.

The best thing about this identity politics is that old people decide the election. They vote 4 times as much as the young. So, the people who get all anti-old are only helping the old guy get elected.

McCain is continuing to stoke the fires of unrest in this conflict to garner points for the election. He's distorting the facts for his own political purposes. It has already been reported that there were some outbursts after the announcement of a cease fire but that those were dealt with. He is not the president and yet is voicing policy as if he were. And Americans are not so transparent as to mistake his saber rattling for nothing more than an effort to gain political points. He is verbally continuing the conflict after Russia has called for a cease fire. He is more dangerous than Putin. How can anyone say Obama doesn't know what's going on. You people are repeating McCain campaign rhetoric without even listening to what he's saying. You're programmed like robots. Obama learns the facts first before he jumps, McCain fires first and then learns the facts second. He has no diplomatic expertise or geopolitical acumen. You can see that diplomacy worked through the efforts of the French prez. Learn to think for yourselves. Do you really want this hothead in the WH?

McCain is correct in saying Russian aggression cannot go unchecked. Georgia is a democratically elected government who has had its sovereignty thrown aside by a government sliding towards authoritarianism. Why wouldn't any American support Georgia in their time of need? Are we pro-democracy or not? McCain has made a decision on this issue, unlike Obama who called for restraint on both sides. I guess the Georgian army should lay down their arms while Russian tanks charge closer to their capital. McCain is living in the real world, where no one holds hands and sings Kumbaya, as some other candidates apparently believe.

I don't know how, but still after all this time I am amazed that people react to things strictly based on their Republican/Democratic, Conservative/Liberal or McCain/Obama "side".

The lack of rational thought on this website is astonishing sometimes.

I'm glad the Independents like myself make up much of the electorate and end up deciding the elections, based off critical thought and unbiased views.

Because of Bush and his crew(which includes McCain) we are helpless to help anyone. We are broke, mentally and finnancially and we have NO army left. McCain best keep is tired old mouth shut before he gets us into something we can not get out of!! AND why is the Navy putting all its ships outside Iran? If we even try to bomb Iran which McCain would love, we will have no America left. Russia and China will defend Iran to the hilt. We are a "forgotten" country with no force! Obama help get us back to the great standing we used to have or least help us here in America and NOT fight the world!

Well, guess it is time to cease and decease with any further comments . Have been thinking about it and you know I firmly believe the candidates just love all this. You know ,it would be interesting if they hear no further comments from the american people and we should just sit back like they are doing and see what they have to say. We are only feeding them and they are saying ANYTHING they think we want to hear and we are really hearing NOTHING. Let's just sit back and SEE. Think about it.

Georgia killed over 2,000 civilians last Thursday. Someone tell McCain this American living in the state of Georgia is NOT the same as the Georgian Nation south of Russia. Both Obama and McCain messed up condemning Russia when they should have condemned the attack carried out by Georgian military which also attacked the UN peacekeepers composed of Russian, Georgian, and Ossetian soldiers. Shame on CNN also for airing footage of Gori when it really was the ruins of the capital of South Ossetia.

John McCain says that he speaks for all Americans regarding the situation in Georgia. Can someone please tell him that he is not the President ? He should not presume that he speaks for all Americans. He does not speak for me.

The difference is the pipeline in Georgia is guarded by our "friends" while the oil in Iraq was guarded by our "enemy".

If McCain wants to be supportive of Georgia, that is fine. But how about noting that it was one of those French guys who got the ball rolling by using diplomacy, not troops.

I feel for the Georgians, but what was the US supposed to do? Put troops on the ground and start fighting the Russians? Russia is no small country like Iraq and has loads of Nukes. Something McCain should keep in mind before losing his temper with the Russians.

Haven't you learned that what happens in that small province has everything to do with America yet....guess whats just on the other side of the Caspian Sea.....IRAN.

WE NEED RUSSIA TO CALM THE REGION AND BE OUR ALLY AND WE NEED GEORGIA TO REMAIN A FREE AND DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT.

This is very much about America

I guess Kennedy was completely out of his mind sending ships out to intercept the Russian during the Cuban Missile crisis. I guess that Roosevelt was a fool for defending Poland and France.I guess Clinton was an idiot for helping out in Kosovo. We should just duck our heads and hide behind a false sense of security. Obama is sure to talk us out of any crisis that comes along. If you look closely at the posts that clearly are insulting and rude, they seem to be from Obama supporters. Also please note that the vast majority of them can't spell or put together a coherent sentence. They must be products of our overpriced school system. You know... the McDonalds and You Tube majority that spouts out such malediction. Oh no I guess your high school minds may not know what that means. Can you say dictionary?

and HERE IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MCCAIN AND OBAMA

Obama was prepared for what some inthe media are calling a "3AM Moment". While McCain reads Wikipedia and consults his Campaign Foreign Policy Advisor, who is a lobbyist for Georgia, Obama speaks to President Kaashvili and Condi before he speaks.

(You know... gathering facts and ensuring a level of appropriateness BEFORE speaking and trying to make political hay out of tihs)

DEAL WITH IT PEOPLE... DEAL WITH IT !!!

The dishonest ads that McCain is running about Obama take away any credibility that he ever had. The political pandering that he's showing as he tries to act like a world leader are laughably transparent.

"She thought that over for a few seconds while her Mom glared at me,
then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the
homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?" "

Can he walk? Lotta disabled homeless guys out there.

McCain doesn't speak for Americans as a whole and has no political influence anywhere. The last time someone other than the president spoke for America he was immediately reprimanded. This is another example McCain doesn't understand his position let alone the chain of command. McCain's ambition for control is very dangerous and Bush needs to put him in his place right now. McCain will start another war if he is not shut down.

What arrogant presumption John McCain has! Last time I checked he was a Senator from Arizona and not the President. He does not represent me nor does he speak for me!

You Obama fans are getting a little worried aren’t you. McCain has shown leadership with this issue and Obama is still trying to find out what the polls say. Obama had to revise his comments while McCain got it right the first time. Now I know the national polls are close and McCain is picking up steam in the battleground states. but, you Obama fans don’t need to get to upset over this election. I did the same thing with Kerry in 04 and looked how that turned out. LOL.
The right man will get the job Obama or McCain and I'm ok with both. But I will not vote for either.

Well, the Georgians were the ones who started this conflict without justification and in spite of a truce--please look back at the news as it happened, not as we might wish it had happened. So for McCain to identify with them is quite fitting--bomb, bomb, bomb; bomb, bomb Iran!
