Is Obama scaird she might win? Last I checked the US was a democracy and the Convention is the place where the delegates cast their vote.

Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe some of the delegates have changed their mind and Obama might be at risk of losing the nomination. This is DEMOCRACY at it's best.

If there is to be a joint ticket with the two of them, is should be Clinton / Obama and NOT Obama / Clinton.

The White House needs a grownup in there.

I am for Hillary then John mcCain. McCain will do just fine as our president. I hope he picks Mitt Romney but I could support anyone he picks. McCain is a good man and a fine leader. Experience is his middle name.

For the Democrats, I think Obama and Larry Craig the two Idaho winners should team up. By the Way---------

Obama's worldview as expressed in Berlin is much closer to the whining, hand wringing critics of Truman, Kennedy and Reagan than it is to the views of these three stalwarts of freedom.

Obama's response to evil in the world is not "We are staying in Berlin, period," "Ich bin ein Berliner" or "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall."

Obama's response is "everybody hold hands and sing Kumbaya, cuz golly gee if the world will only 'act as one,' all our troubles and all the bad guys will go away."

Most of the comments I have seen on here make everyone look like shameful, silly, tantrum-throwing children. Lets be real here-- Obama still had more states, more delegates, more PERIOD. If she elects to put her name in as a nominee, she will be committing political suicide. After supporting Obama, she would be the butt of every joke if she in fact decided to continue her campaign-- the ultimate flip-flopper as many of which you HRC diehards have grown so used to accusing Obama. I am sure even many of her own followers, at least the ethical ones, would be turned off. Stop hating and be loyal to your party or get out of it.

Frankly, all the HRC supporters should be glad she doesn't have to go through the general election BS that's going on this year. McCain is running a smear-filled campaign... do you really think she would have been exempt from the mudslinging? If Hillary had been involved in the general campaigning, McCain would have dragged her name through the dirt to hell and back, with just as many lies and slanders as he's throwing at Obama.

Count your blessings, and maybe in four or eight years we can have a respectable election where the best candidate wins on merit, not on the ability to lie with a straight face.

I would like to ask you all to stop bashing Hillary. Every time an article comes out that says someone will do this or someone said that, everyone starts jumping on Hillary as if she is the one who is doing it. She has made her position clear and I respect her. So please stop trashing her every time the media needs to spin a story. How about giving her credit when it was revealed that she would not go after Obama's background during the primary. This may have helped her win, but its obvious that Clinton has more scruples than you give her credit for. VERY TIRED OF THE HILLARY BASHING. Its not called for, and this women deserves our respect.

Our 2-party system continues to serve us nothing but more of the same on a toilet-seat platter. Until WE ALL stop whining and vote in a third, fourth, heck, even a fifth-party candidate, we will be dining on crap forever. Peel back the curtains, it's time to clean the smear off of the windows. This is OUR country and we are responsible for whom we elect to office. Stop getting your "opinions" from the boob tube and take back that responsibility yourself. We will quickly find that the best leaders are not qualified for office by his or her corporate funding alone. Maybe we can even elect politicians who actually deliver peaceful interactions with other nations. I don't know anybody that bombs their way out of everyday disagreements, yet practically every president we elect has killing other HUMANS in his blood. Just a few thoughts that come to mind while reading comments from people fighting to keep their blinders firmly in place.

I'VE SAID IT BEFORE AND I'LL GLADLY SAY IT AGAIN.

IF CLINTON CAUSES TROUBLE AT THE CONVENTION AND OBAMA LOSSES THE ELECTION AND WE HAVE E TO ENDURE YET ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF FINANCIAL LOSE, ECONOMIC DISAPPEAR AND HARDSHIP I WILL LOBBY EVERY PERSON I KNOW TO VOTE AGAINST MRS. CLINTON AND MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO SEE TO IT THAT SHE IS NOT ELECTED SENATOR OF NYC AGAIN.

I KNEW SHE WOULD TRY THIS THE MOMENT SHE FLIP/FLOPPED ON SEATING THE DELEGATES FROM MICH AND FLORIDA WHEN ORIGINALLY SHE WAS FINE WITH THEIR EXCLUSION. SHE LIED IN HER INTENT THERE, SHE LIED ABOUT BEING SHOT, SHE LIED EVEN ABOUT WANTING TO BE NY'S SENATOR - SHE ONLY USED THE SENATE SEAT AS A STEPPING STONE TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT.

AND I'M NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT.

What purpose does putting her name in nomination serve - even for her supporters? All I can say to the Hillary supporters is that the rights that HIllary and others fought for were not about one woman - they were about helping millions of women and families in this country to have a fair chance at being full participating citizens.

Hillary quit and supports Obama. She quit because she fell short and she knew in order to make certain that the policies she supported would go forward, it was time to support the nominee.

It's time to park the campaign as Hillary did back in June and campaign now for the policies and values that both Hillary and Barack share. Allow the convention the full use of the precious TV time to explain to all Americans what Democrats believe and why we cannot go forward with a Bush 3rd term.

The race was for delegates. Obama won the majority of pledged delegates. The superdelegates did nothing but rubberstamp the primary results.

You guys need to accept that if there were ZERO super delegates then Obama would still be the leader, even fully counting Florida and Michigan. This is a bogus argument.

Hillary accomplished a lot and I have no problem with a roll call but after that is done the rancor must be over. Any one still holding a grudge is a REPUBLICAN. If you cannot accept the decision of the party and the platform that your support of Senator Clinton would indicate then you are not a Democrat.

What i can not understand about Puma's is they keep refferimg to 18million voters. if they were so commited to their candidate why cant they EACH contribute a dollar to settle her debt and they will be change left over for clinton and family. by the way how many voters will elligible for voting in Nov and how many of those will be for OB, nobody seems to be taking about the OB voter numbers inculding the new or first timers.

If HRC becomes the reason the Dems loose this presidency i cant wait to see what the Pumas will do when she looses her Senate seat in NY. Who nows maybe she will retire and take a teaching post somehwere in Mississipi. So my dear Puma's get on with the programme because after this all HRC efforts and achievement wont even be worth including in the history books.

She will be remembered as a divider of the party maybe most of you can live with that, because yoll have not achieved anything important in life except maybe the claim that u are americans or so called patriots.

But i dont think the Clintons are that naive as you all are. Most american are not happy with who they are or what they have achived in life and its most ly because of good or bad personnel choices they have taken in life. America has a responsibilty to the world of nations and that is TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE.

BARACK OBAMA IS THE SON OF THE SOIL.

OBAMA..... 08

OBAMA..... 08

Maybe instead of putting her name into nomination, her supporters should show their respect and use their time to pay off her campaign debt. It will give them something to do with their time, which they obviously need, and if they love her so much, isn't this much more likely to impact her future and her life then letting her lose for a second time.

Ugh!! At this point I've lost what little respect I've had for the Clintons. They have proven them selves to be lying, blow-hard sour grapes losers. If Hillary and her nut job of a husband gave two cents about this country instead of there overblown egos the would have gracfuly supported Obama right after the nomination like they promised they would. the way the Hill-billy's ran thier campaign shows they would not have been good for this country. And you can tell alot about a candidate by the way they run thier campaign. So far even McKeatingFive can't do that well either. Obama is the only one to have run his campaign like a well oiled machine. Put the soar losers name on the ballot and win she loses maybe her and her bubba will go away insteadof continuing to urinate on the democratic party and the American public

The Hillary supporters do realize that 72% of the people that originally voted for her (myself included) have moved on to support Obama and have no interest in her EVER winning the presidency. Frankly, even if she somehow shanghaied the convention and miraculously walked away as the official candidate for fall, I will likely still not vote for her. I have always respected Hillary and thought of her as a role model.... until now. Frankly, these days she and her adamant 'supporters' just seem tacky and sad. It would take a lot at this point to even get me to stomach her in the VP slot. I have just simply lost all respect for her.

Rationale For Super-Delegates
Super-delegates are designed to act as a check on ideologically extreme or inexperienced candidates. The super-delegate system has been called a safety-value.
It has been 30 years since the Democratic Party had a cliffhanger going into the Convention. If there is no clear winner after state primaries and caucuses, then the super-delegates -- who are bound only by their consciences -- will decide the nominee.
Based on DNC convention history, it is a tradition to put the names of candidates on the ballot so their supporters could vote. Example: Howard Dean himself! Gee what a surprise.
In this case neither Obama or Hillary won the primary election. As a result Hillary’s name SHOULD/MUST on the ballot. Only then can super delegates perform their proper role and vote their conscience. If this is not done then Obama will not be the official nominee

HILLARY CLINTON agreed that Michigan and Florida wouldn't count because MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA BROKE THE RULES. PERIOD....END OF STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!

If she does get the nomination which I HIGHLY DOUBT, it would be nice to see her in the office.
Maybe she can play with some cigars and some local women of her own.
Since we as Americans care more about the drama and gossip than how the world can actually be healed. I’d vote for her just for that aspect and for the fact I am a democrat and I stand by my party Regardless of her stealing the nomination away.

Hillary's supporters are a collection of ill mannered, ignorant prima donnas. Obama won the delegate count fair and square, according to the DNC. The Clintons are egotistical pigs who won't take no for an answer. She is a lying, manipulative sociopath. Be prepared for the riots if she ruins Obama's victory,. The Clintons are lying, backstabbing, manipulative slobs.

BTW, to all you idiot PUMA pigs ( a collection of disgruntled women, who husbands have left them for younger, prettier women--no doubt) She'll be destroyed by Obama's legion of supporters if she tries to come back in 2012. AND--just because she places her name does not guarantee that she'll be the nominee. There are rules, even for the fat pig Clintons.

When Obama loses in November it's going to be labeled as Hillary's fault no matter what she does...so if I were her, I would run on an IND ticket or pursue McCain to be his VP and say to heck with the DNC...they sure didn't care how they treated her. She can't win for losing...no matter what when the Golden Boy doesn't win all the true racists out there and the media will swear that it was Hillary's fault. Must be nice to have so much power :)

i will be voting for the first time in the U.S and i am appalled by how many of you HRC supporters that are truly ignorant. i am a female but i am voting BO because HRC is fraud. A woman's instinct is to protect at all cost but her instinct is to destroy until she gets her way. disgusting

Well PUMA's I kind of hope they do submit her name and she some how pulls out the nomination. Then all of the Obama supporters can cry, kick our feet and pout, all while voting for John McCain and sending our country into ruins. Sounds like an excellent idea. Whats that you say?
Oh I see, we're being immature and childish. Hey, we learned all the tricks from you.

Something is strange about this campaign year...Something is definently wrong...and Obama even gets more queer as time progresses. I think Obama will do anything to get a vote. Too bad none of us seem to really know him.

Everyone should just back off Hillary & Bill. They aren't the one's saying this and that, it's the media just trying to get ratings. They know as long as they keep bringing up Hillary that people will tune in. They love the drama. Unfortunately, OBAMA is the nominee and Hillary is trying to support him. She is campaigning for him for pete sake!!! The media keeps saying all this about how "is she really trying to help him", "does she really want him to win??" Give it a rest!!!! Of course she wanted to win but due to the bias media coverage and the hag Pelosi...she didn't and know she's being a true Dem and supporting him...so give the poor lady a break!
