Mr. Gwatney is a very nice person who worked his way up. He has four dealerships which have been around for decades. He is a Democrat and a Patriot, who loves his Country and doesn't discriminate between republican, democrat, white, black, man, woman, or child when it comes to his responsiblities toward humanity. And I'm sure that he would appreciate if we did the same for him today. God Bless America? No, America, Bless God.

    Joe Kiloz,

Taking an idiotic shot at a man who just learned someone he knows was shot is stupid. and seems to be par-for-the-course for republicans.

try to stay on topic, and if you can't keep up, don't join the conversation.

This is a very serious article about an unfortunate incident that happened at Democratic Party headquarters in Arkansas. ( Prayers and fest wishes to friends/family of Bill Gwatney).

And yet there are still people trolling this blog commenting on Hillary!? Give me a break....All of you "Pro Clinton" bloggers really need to grow up, and let this go.

She WILL NOT be elected President in '08 because SHE LOST the Democratic Primary fair and square......Period. Now please can we move on.

Allow me to take this opportunity to remind the lefties on this board about some of the trashy comments they left about Tony Snow when he died. Just bear in mind, I could sink to your level, but I won't.

i GOT NEWS FOR YOU LIBERALS WITH THE BRAIN OF A PEANUT. i AM AN INDEPEDENT . i AM FOR JOHN mCCain. I would not suffer the shame of voting for a liberal. I didn't spend twenty years in the army to give away the country to any weak kneed liberal democrat. So write all the nasty stuff you want to. I do not have to fear you people because the reason you are for Obama instead of John McCain is that he might start the draft. That would be a hoot. You people might have to do something for your country instead of always putting it down and whinning.

Blueray98, I hope you're joking. It is obvious to me that this country's healthcare system is in dire need of overhaul. If it wasn't, there wouldn't be so many people on this blog who obviously can't afford their medication. What a bunch of complete BS. Yes, yes, yes. It's all everyone else's fault. The entire media was against Hillary. Hundreds of TV stations, newspapers, magazines. All in a super conspiracy against "Our Little Girl". Yes. Obama was "selected" through the same vast conspiracy, in which hundreds of Democratic delegates, dozens of state campaigns, hundreds of campaign workers, the government, the communists, the aliens, the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, all conspired to get Obama in the right place. No, Hillary didn't make even one mistake. She is without fault. She didn't spend money like a drunken sailor, even after it was obvious she wasn't going to win. Nope. She hired all the right people, like Mark Penn. Nope, Mark Penn didn't stab her in the back. Nope, Wolfson didn't make one bad decision. Nope. Bill Clinton didn't say one stupid thing during the entire campaign. Yes. Hillary did dodge sniper fire while being covered by Sinbad, the comedian. All the sexists, chauvinist pigs jumped into this same vast conspiracy to prevent her from taking the nomination. If that sarcasm is lost on you, you are a complete idiot.

What? now ALL of my pro-McCain comments are being moderated and deleted. Guess CNN does not want anything other than far left people after the election–so be it.

I am disgusted that people express the blind hate instead of outrage against violence. Stop turning tragedy for family into political play.

I wonder if what happened in Arkansas is a sign of things to come. We in America have our differences, however, killing for political causes, is not what our American democracy is all about. I am concerned with obama, in that it was revealed what type of preaching he listened to for 20 years, which was HATE filled. This could very well be a sad backlash to what's out there.

As an Arkansan I am extremly saddened by this incident. I hope the country can look past the politcal issues that may or may not become part of this debate and focus on what is best for the party itself, but more than that what is best for the family and friends of Mr. Gwatney. He will be missed and our prayers should go out to those closest to him.

hmm must have been an obama supporter, it is unfortunate that this happened. it is sad when someone is taken so suddenly and for no reason. must be that people blame the dems. for supporting N.A.F.T.A. so many people blame it for lose of jobs. there should be a law that states that any company that wants to sell its goods to americans must open a manufacturing plant in the U.S. and outsourcing jobs should be outlawed in the U.S.
