Senator McCain said in Michigan today August 13/08 that nations do not invade other nations in the 21st century. Senator McCain seems to have both long term and short term memory problems. He seems to have amnesia about the recent Iraq illegal invasion.

The Russians will leave Gorgia when peace has been restored. They will not stay a day longer than is necessary.

As soon the Officer on the ground say that things are ok, I believe the Russians will leave. But first peace has to be brought back.

McCain is reckless, belligerent, and boiled with a mis-directed vengeance. You don't make comments and interfere with foreign relations without receiving the same. McCain is the only supporter of removing Russia from the G8. His G8 policy mirrors the gas tax holiday. There isn't an economist in the country that agrees with a gas tax holiday. This conflict is not our problem. We have plenty of our own. McCain becomes president and he'll drag us into another cold war. This is ridiculous. The man even plagiarized his initial speech from Wikipedia. Yep, that's right, McCain's initial speech on Georgia was partially stolen from Wikipedia. He's reckless and a war monger. Politics are the only thing that are driving McCain's continuing comments. He has "known" the Georgian president for a long time? Then how does he mispronounce the name of a "long-time friend" 3 times?

Not that you can tell, McCain has been screaming so loud with his shoot first, ask quetions later comments you can't hear what the White House (who actually DOES speak for the US and all Americans, per a little thing called the United States Constitution) might be doing. Way to go, Mr. Experience. The White House is a joke, so let's make it worse by muddling the message, repeating talking points from a paid Georgian lobbyist, exploiting the deaths of thousands of civilians for partisan political gain, and otherwise diluting whatever pitiful political influence we might have otherwise had. Then claim you stand with and support Bush. Smart move, McEinstein!

Ok. So for all you who are spewing hatred of Sen McCain for supporting Pres Bush's position in this instance. This is the deal. Pres Bush wants Russian troops to leave Georgia and allow humanitarian aid into that country. There's been no talk of war, but only to find a peaceful resolution to the crisis. That is Pres Bush's (and Sen McCain's) stance. So...if you are hitting Sen McCain for agreeing with the President's stance then I ask you. What is your stance? That you don't want Russian troops to leave Georgia, that you want them to take over Georgia, that you do not want any humanitarian aide to get to the Geogian people? Is that your stance? Really? Are you really that stupid? Have you already forgotten the atrocities and harshness of the old USSR? Have you already forgotten the celebrations and smiling faces of the people of countries like Georgia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, etc when the USSR disentigrated and these people were once again free to live their lives out from under the crushing thumb of the USSR? I would think that Sen Obama (and you) would agree with Pres Bush and Sen McCain in this instance as well.

If Russia wants to re-establish the Russian Empire, will America allow them to do so? If no, does this not mean there will be a confrontation between Russia and the US? McBush is totaly ineffective when it comes to foriegn affairs. He thinks Russia is the Soviet Union. Thinks that Czechoslavakia is still one nation. Believes that Pakistan and Iraq share a common Border. Does not now the difference between an Arab and a Persian or a Sunni and a Shia. Can not deal with Putin because he has publicly insulted him as a leader. Can not participate in Israel and Palestine peace talks because he has proclaimed himself to be the worst enemy of their elected Palestinian Government. McBush is not even President and he has set himself up to be a failure on the world stage. All he can offer is continued war and a failing economy.

And for what I've read it sounds like if Obama doesn't win we can thank the impeached Billary's for their contribution, or lack of. And another thing, the whole connection of McCain to a lobbyist for Georgia is so stupid. While lobbyists as a whole get a bad rap there are plenty of lobbyists that are beneficial, and I would say one that is representing a growing country with a democratically elected government is not really in the same vein as someone representing a tobacco company. Hell, AARP is a lobbyist group, does that make them evil all of the sudden?
