Has any of you liberal Democrats noticed that Obama has gone from an immediate withdrawal in Iraq, to a withdrawal by 2010, to a drawdown as conditions on the ground warrant (Bush's policy), to now ending the war responsibly? How's that for being sure how to handle a crisis? What's Obama's Iraq policy tomorrow going to look like? The man's a political novice. Changes like the wind.

For those of you not paying attention at home: McCain himself said he would continue 95% of Bush's policies. He was trying to suck up to Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly and their mindless zombies so that everyone would accept he is a conservative.

I agree with you Dave, we should look at these posts. The ones that insult Obama calling him the Messiah and the ones insulting his supporters by calling them Obamabots, stupid, and mindless liberals.
Pretty hateful stuff from "values voters".

Obamanomics:

Step 1. If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it.

Step 2. If you get out of bed in the morning, you are to be taxed until you stop getting out of bed. All this is done to support those who refuse to get out of bed. Got your pillow and your Teddy?

Why can't Obama tell us how he's going to do all those things he's promising? Are we supposed to believe that he is just going to 'messiah' these things into reality?

To Hillary Clinton: You need to request that your name be placed in nomination at the convention. This is not so much about you as it is about the way in which your campaign was hijacked with the smears, the sexist comments, the repression by the media while promoting and fawning over Obama. The media used it's influence to promote favortism at the expense of women everywhere. Your candidacy is historic & it's symbolic. Your loyalty should be to all women, not to the Democratic party that sold you out. Reclaim what was stolen. Make a bold statement and set the record straight.

Does this sound like an oxymoron to anyone else?

"Barack Obama has voted in lockstep with President George W. Bush nearly half the time"

How do you vote in lockstep half the time?
Does this mean Obama is NOT a knee-jerk liberal?
Does this mean the Obama has voted in a spirit of bi-partisanship?
Does this mean that Obama has supported Bush sometimes and opposed him others?
Does this mean he votes his conscience and judgment - not blindly based on party loyalty of preconceived ideology?

You know, a single accidental honest statement can neutralize a whole lot of biased propaganda in an instant.

The so-called Update was given by a spokesman from the McCant camp. Why does CNN let them tell blatant lies about Obama like this. CNN seems to favor McCain over Obama. When the McCain ad lies about Obama, there's no so-called update to rebut those lies. The difference between Obama ads and McCant ads, is that Obama ad tell the truth, are about substance, while the McCain ads are about lies and garbage. When will the media get back to reporting the facts. CNN is getting to be worse than FOX (Fixed) News.

"Voted in lockstep nearly half the time" What is that supposed to mean?

So John McCain who has voted 95% with Bush this past year is a Maverick, whereas Barack Obama who voted with Bush "nearly half the time" is to be condemned for the Bush Policies?

I don't even think he's trying to make sense anymore. His whole campaign is based on lying about what Obama is saying, nothing about what McCain is about.

Ask Ohioans about McCain and campaign manager Davis' job killing abilities.

What do you think the oil companies will do to make up the money Obama will take in taxes? You don't think they will just turn the other cheek, do you? Do you think they will just increase the price of harvesting, refining and delivering? If so you are correct. The Obama plan will Increase the price of oil. BTW, This is the same kind of add that you dems complain about. But it is OK for Obama .

The last time that I checked 95% was still more than 50%. McCain is trying to make a big deal out of Barack siding with Bush 50% of the time, while trying to run away from the fact that he has sided with him 95% of the time. Oh, that's right...McCain is not too strong with mathand economics! Just the person that we need to head up our government...NOT!!!

McCain is trying to make a big deal out of Barack siding with Bush 50% of the time, while trying to run away from the fact that he has sided with him 95% of the time. Oh, that's right...McCain is not too strong with mathand economics! Just the person that we need to head up our government...NOT!!!

Our support for Georgia did not come cheap either. Ask McCain. Why do we always have to get into this bloody mess? Time to re-think our foreign policy before it's too late.

Senator Obama needs to stick with the economy and energy independence as the issues to hit the McCain campaign with. I think all of those celebrity ads both sides ran were pretty stupid because if no one has ever heard of you, why would they want to vote for you?

Greg August 13th, 2008 2:57 pm ET
I find it very interesting that a tax and spend liberal like Obama would have a clue when it comes to econonomics. Every idea he has regarding taxes, self sufficiency on energy, his Socialistic views all go directly against sound Economics and against Capitalism. As for me, I can spend my money better than the liberal money exchange ideas of Comrade Obama!!!
__________________________________________________
History does not bear out your argument. If you look at economic statistics over the past 50 years, you find that the economy has done better with Democrats in the White House than with Republicans. In fact, 4 of the last 5 recessions were during Republican Administrations. The current economic woes follow 7 years of Bush Jr and the last recession followed 10 years of Reagan and Bush Sr.

Republican Administrations over the past 50 years have run up about 80% of the entire U.S. National Debt. You have replaced the actual historical facts with conservative mythology.

Oh, and Obama is NOT a socialist. Calling him one 500 times will never make it true. His economic policies are very sound and will produce benefits for American and most of its citizens for decades to come. That is in complete opposition to what we have experiences over the past 8 years, where a very small portion of our population has experienced a windfall while the vast majority of Americans have seen their incomes stagnate.

Where did you get your advance degree in economics? Fox News? Flush Slimeball?

McCain is such a liar! He keeps repeating that Obama will raise taxes on American families, even suggesting that for people making $42,000. Obama will LOWER taxes for those people! The indepedent Tax Policy Center confirms that 95% of Americans will take home MORE money under Obama!

McCain knows the truth hurts him with average American citizens, so he lies.

How much would oil cost if we lost Iraq? How much would it cost if Iran moved into Iraq? How much would war cost then?
_______________________________________________
Dear Paranoid Warmonger: Did it ever occur to you that the actions by North Korea, Iran, and Russia were spurred, in part, because we are overstretched in Iraq and Afghanistan and have lost influence with our traditional allies due to our arrogant, unwise foreign policies these past eight years?

Here are your questions for you. How much would oil cost if we had never invaded Iraq in the first place? What in the world makes you believe that Iran had any intention of invading Iraq before we messed things up over there? Were the 4,200 American lives, tens (if not hundreds) of thousands Iraqi lives, millions of displace people, hundreds of billions of our tax dollars, loss of respect and moral authority in the world, increase of hatred of America, overstretched military, price paid by our military families, degradation of our ability to recruit for military and national guard, use of torture, suspension of basic legal rights, ............. was all that cost worth it? Would McCain have made the same stupid mistake Bush did? Would Obama have?

JP, you appear to have the roles reversed. The trend has been McCain following Obama's lead on many important issues: considering Iraq "horizons," Afghanistan troop levels, mortgage situation, Social Security solvency (aside from McCain's privatization), "change" campaigning, etc.

Obama is absolutely correct with this ad. He focuses on issues while McCain uses negativity, lies, and distortions. Thank God for factcheck.org

McCain is running as a 3rd term Bush-Cheney candidate. With all that we've been through in the past 7-1/2 years, a war that has almost broken our nation, thousands that gave their life in combat, the state of our crititical economic position, volitile gas prices, and healthcare ONLY for the richest of the rich - How could we in good conscience ever settle enough to the level it would take to vote for McCain?

"Wait to see what oil prices do if this guy gets the chance to pull our troops out. They'll triple over instability."

I think you've got it ALL WRONG! Look at what we've got now. Despite what oil advocates want us to believe, the threat of offshore drilling is not bringing prices down - it's that $4 changed demand.

America taking real, measured steps toward alternate energy and impacting demand in a real way will send a shock wave through those countries that rely on our addiction.

They will do whatever they can to dissuade us from making them less relevant, including lowering prices.

We cannot continue to have oil driving our foreign policy and domestic investment strategies. If we do, we will end up looking like the Soviet Union looked to the rest of the world when the walls came down - gray, old, frayed and unattended - and whatever the future is, it will not be us showing it to the world.

I find it interesting that a guy who supports NAFTA, is all for CAFTA and any other country willing to take our jobs can say that the other candidate is a job killer machine.

McCain's Iraq policies not only have harmed the U.S. , now he's calling us all Georgians instead of Americans now the Georgian Presidents wants McCain to put action to his words. Somebody needs to find what's wrong with McCain before he gets us all killed so I'm not taking any chances, I'll stick with Obama.

Do you guys notice!

Almost all the Ads run by McCain camp have an internet link to the Ads on CNN website while the opposite is true for Obama Ads.

CNN needs to wake up. They should give equal coverage to both camps Ads. Favoring McCain over Obama is unacceptable.

Once again the McCain camp is spinning in circles around itself. Saying that Obama voted with Bush "nearly half" the time definately goes up against their argument that he is "the most liberal" senator in the Senate. I mean which is it...is he liberal or conservative, their confusing their ownselves trying to rush a statement out as quick as possible!

Tucker...Pucker Up for a huge loss in November. You can misconstrue facts so well that some people will actually buy it. We have a current president and administration who have always done the same thing. There are enough people who are not going to fall for that trick anymore. Same old politics...different outcome this time. Pucker Up...Tucker!
