To Sue, Michigan- I agree, why are 18 million Obama voters more important than 18 million Clinton voters. The DNC created the win for Obama. The average voter knows nothing of the way that the DNC comes up with rules. All they know is that they voted for someone, in the cases of Florida and Michigan, that someone was Clinton. This election was close,
CLOSE! not a landslide! Being rude and calling Clinton supporters "poor sports" does nothing to help with party unity. This is not a football game where you win each game and then go on to beat one team in the finals. If it were a football championship playoff, the Obama team would be trying to finish the season with almost half the players missing. Obama can't win against Republicans without the other half of the party. That half is the Clinton supporters. Unite the party and come away from the convention with a winning ticket-

Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama

Anything else is sour grapes. Obama if you are reading this blog, do the right thing, put Clinton on the ticket as VP.

Either of the two would be fine with me although I like Kaine too. Up until Hillary's unfortunate and horrifying announcement today, I really thought she might be on the ticket. But I guess this latest turn of events sort of rules that idea out.

I hope they post the times of the Biden and Bayh speeches because I love them both!!

Biden or Bayh - they are both credible candidates.

In the end, Obama may be forced to take Hillary if the schism her supporters are causing is detrimental or deemed libelous to a clear win.

I notice on the GOP side there are no Black or female choices for VP - from the party of family values, eh?!

PUMA/Fake republicans posing as Dems: go ahead vote for McCain and shut the hell up. If you guys are so upset, why don't you move to the republican party ? You very well fit that profile of idiocy and church mentality like.
Obama/Biden is the best choice for this country wether you like it or not. And if you don't, just don't vote for him. Thank God people like you have become the minority given what you did 4 years ago for a moronic BUSH victory. You just don't get it. How stupid can you be trying to vote for a Bush clone?

All you Hillary supporters (AKA: PUMA, fake republicans posing as dems) you need therapy. How much more pathetic could you people be? She runs a muddy campaign and loses, yet you people feel she's been wrong. By whom? Now you really see how nice this Obama guy is. anyone else would have kicked both Bill and Hillary to the curve by now given their bizzare behaviour. Talking about being entitled !!!
It doesn't matters in the end, Obama will be the next president wether you PUMA/Fake republicans vote for him or not.

I've long liked Clark (supported him in '04) and Bayh brings alot to the table. But the only reason I supported Hillary was because Biden was forced to drop out due to the the public's inability to focus on anything that requires greater concentration than a 15 second sound bite. Face it folks...Biden was/is the most qualified for the top position in either party...Respected, long-time Senator; Foreign Relations; Judiciary...and simply brilliant. Select Biden and Obama will overcome the unease of those who might be less than enthused by his candidacy...and will show that he is not just comfortable, but confident, with/in his own self in the top slot.

Both would be good choices if Hillary did not get 18 million votes. Obama's first test of can he bring two sides together will be his VP pick. He can pick Hillary and bring the party together or he can pick another guy in a suit and tear the party apart. His choice. It will be interesting to see what he does.

Obama will win without Hillary, although I have nothing against Hillary. It is Obama's choice, not Hillary's supporter's choice. Obama won, Hillary lost, plain and simple. Yes, the Hillary supporters can abandon the party, but the fact is, that if they do abandon the party over this, then they were not Democrats from the start. A true Democrat could in no way identify with McLame. But, if they do support McLame it won't be the first time that the public voted against its own interests and it won't be the last.

It is like poor people voting for the party that wants to limit minimum wage, ship in cheap labor to suppress salaries, totally screw health care, then ship the remaining jobs out of the country. If this serves your interests, go for it.

I've long respected Joe Biden. He's smart, experienced, and a very likable guy. He'd make an excellent VP. Hell, he'd probably make an excellent president.

Anybody thinking of voting for McCain, ask yourself this: are you better off today than you were in 2000? If not, why would you want 4 more years of Bushism, as that's exactly what McCain will deliver if elected.

The triple B's = Bama, Biden & Bayh...I like the combination of either Biden or Bayh with oBama but realistically the guy who is greyer and more experienced will make the final cut because of the need to balance the ticket with age and experience vs. youth and vigor...

Great choices either one! But then again I somewhat sad that the rift between Obama and Hillary has grown to the point where they are viewed as incompatible for running mates...Anyway, she will play an important role in any Obama administration...

It doesn't matter which of these two get picket....neither will help Obama get elected.

In order to help Obama they would need to some how find a way to erase the minds of Americans so that they don't remember Obama participated in a racist church for the last 20 years.

That's not going to happen.

Democrats FIGHT and VOTE against Racism....we don't support it and we certainly won't vote for a Democratic candidate who participated in a racist, divisive, American hating church for the last 20 years!

I guess the DNC was determined to LOSE this election.

1. half of the people commenting on this blog are complete morons.
2. clinton being submitted for nomination is a symbolic peace offering, not anything for either side to get their feathers ruffled about. so shut up.
3. i find it humorous how obama's top vp choices seem to be old white guys who are familiar with washington politics (sound familiar?)
4. bill richardson is the most qualified for the vp slot.

Biden brings balance to Obama's percieved weaknesses of experience and foreign affairs. An Obama/Biden ticket will force the GOP to change their strategy of attempting to paint Obama as not ready to lead.

OBAMA’S GREAT POLITICAL EXPERIENCE AS A SENATOR.

Obama’s 143 Days of Senate Experience

That’s how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

The one single Senate committee that he headed never
even met once

Think about it…….143 days — 20.4 weeks — 4.7 months …

Our children spend more time in pre-school getting ready for kindergarten

If you dont Want Hillary as VP, you clearly arent serious about Obama as POTUS.
Politicians, by virtue of their profession, have to kiss Voter Butt.
Thats the way it is. And there are just enough p o'd people out there to make it a very chilly November for the Democrats if Hillary is not the VP running mate.

I think that the PUMA are a group of people who cannot accept defeat in competition, but tries to justify their irrational behaviour BY DESTROYING their candidate reputation in the process. They are so blinded by infantile temper tandrums that they are making it impossible for their candidate to ever win a political competition in the future. They are trying to blackmail and manipulate the situation, but it s going to back-fire on their candidate. What a SHAME.

As an observer I can only say that I am totally impressed by the amazing talent that Barack Obama has to choose from for VP. Bill Richardson, Wes Clark, Joe Biden, etc. etc.etc. it just goes on and on.... he will have an amazing cabinet if he gets elected!!! On the other hand it seems that John McCain would be very stretched in that department?? Maybe American should judge their future president on the men and women they can gather around them????

Obama won't pick Biden. Biden has the problem of at first being impressive and then the longer you listen to him you realize that he isn't speaking for your benefit he is speaking for the sake of his own ego. I think the man is fairly impressed with his self.

It could be Bayh. The problem with Bayh is that he is too good a pick for someone who gets along extremely well with Republicans. Shoot he could easily switch parties and no one would notice. I personally think Bill Richardson would be a good pick. He is mature and does not have the risk of dominating Obama. Obama has to be careful else he look rather than like President but the man who is announcing the President. The last thing he wants is to look like he should be VP and with his lack of experience that is going to be a very hard thing to avoid.

Remember the first African-American to win The Apprentice, Dr. Randal Pinkett's. He was also an extremely intelligent Oxford grad. He earned a Rhodes scholar. Like Obama he did everything he was supposed to do with dignity, humility and excellence - showing great foresight, vision and leadership. What happened when he won fair and square? All of a sudden for the first time in history Trump suggests that there be a co-apprentice. See any similarities?

I also have kept my Hillary sticker! Senator Clinton is highly intelligent, has 35 years experience and has done a great job for the people of NYS.
She will work tirelessly for universal health care.
Barack Obama would be guaranteed 18 million more votes should he select Hillary Clinton for his running mate.

Hillary is the worst candidate in political history. I can't believe how she can even run for the presidency I laugh hysterically about it. She has the weakest "resume" and she failed the bar exam. She has casted her spell on the dumb voters out there. Probably the same voters who voted for "W".

She should just let go...and join the Whig Party!

The Whig Party is a centrist party founded last September, has over 10,000 members and is one of the fastest growing parties in America. We are centrist and value economic growth as well as personal freedom

I think a dynamite choice would be MARIO CUOMO. He's of obvious presidential timber and gravitas, is a very good ideological fit with Obama, is brilliantly eloquent in his own right and would easily outshine any VP the Republicans could pick, has excellent executive experience that would compliment Obama's legislative experience, would help with the Catholic vote, and also might help solidify the New York state vote and perhaps even help bring around New Yorkers who originally supported Clinton. I think Joe Biden is a loose canon more interested in himself that would eventually hurt the campaign with his big mouth. And governor Bayh, however promising and attractive, is a nobody who won't add any heft to the ticket. As nice as it would be to have fresh faces, change, and a new start, I think Obama himself is enough on one ticket and voters need someone who is poised, a team player and obviously of presidential capabilty -- someone we'd all have no doubts or questions about should they need to step in. Also, I think two senators on the ticket is too much. There should be someone with clear executive experience. I think MARIO CUOMO would be perfect in all these respects! I hope the Obama campaign hears this and, if they haven't already asked/vetted him, will seriously pursue him.
