Take this into consideration:

NPR reported yesterday that 72% of Clinton supporters have already said they intend to vote for Obama.

Clinton is still several million dollars in debt.

Clinton has not been actively campaigning (speaking, running ads, etc).

Taking all that into consideration, do any of you hardcore Clinton supporters really believe she has a snowball's chance in hell to win the nomination, let alone the presidency?

Why this was even an issue is beyond me. She's more than earned her moment in the sun, and if the Superdelegates have their say who knows but that she will become the nominee after all. The problem is that the Democrats held a primary race that wasn't very democratic. Obama should not have won, but because of caucus voting, which in my mind isn't only un-democratic, but very un American (no other public vote is held this way), he was able to gain delegates even in big states like TX where Hillary won. I guess this is consistent behavior for the Democratic party, considering that Dems also favor unionization of the workplace without votes as well.

But yes, Hillary agreed to these stupid rules, and didn't campaign as if she might not win. And that was her fault. I think the nomination of Obama is an abominaton and just one more reason why anyone would be a fool to vote Democrat. And once we start talking about Obama's actual policies, the picture gets even worse.

Personally, I think this is a bad move and a lot of Clinton supporters, including those PUMA idiots are very immature sore losers. Obama beat Hillary fair and square without going negative. It's not Obama's fought Hillary ran a very poor campaign. Seems to me like a very disfunctional political system, where you can have another vote after you have already lost (Hillary). Your party is supported by a fence sitting Republican (Leiberman). If you annot have your way in the Democratic party go and vote Republican (PUMAs).

It seems none of you have the best interests of the US in mind, but then again look at the mess you are in, it is just a result of the lack of your unity.

Okay, this whole thing seems a bit ridiculous to me. Obama IS the Democratic candidate for President of the United States. I know that there are those who will argue that he is only the presumptive candidate, but this is merely a play on words. I'm sure that in past elections, other "Presumptive" nominees have had challengers, but putting Hillary Clinton's name in nomination in this election goes beyond reason. Some say it's historic. To me it's just petty. She says her supporters should be heard. Well they have been. Now they should listen to this: "HILLARY LOST!" and it's time that they put their support behind Obama.
