(CNN) - One day after reports that a new book slamming presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama would debut in the top spot on the New York Times non-fiction best-seller list, his campaign called the author “a discredited, fringe bigot” and sent reporters a 41-page memo laying out alleged inaccuracies in his latest release, “Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality.”
"Jerome Corsi is a discredited liar who is peddling another piece of garbage in order to continue the Bush-Cheney politics he helped perpetuate four years ago," said Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor.
"His is one of what will likely be many lie-filled books rushed to print this election cycle that are cobbled together from debunked internet sources to make money and advance a partisan agenda. We will forcefully respond to these smears with all means at our disposal."
Corsi co-wrote a 2004 work attacking then-nominee John Kerry’s military record titled “Unfit for Command”; the Obama team called its response “Unfit for Publication.” It plans to post the contents of the document in full on its “Fight the Smears” Web site.

Good Obama group, get the facts out about Corsi being biggoted trash. There are many blogs from him on the internet where he goes off on minorities, hebrews, and women. It disgusts me that people would by his book. But I guess the 27% of Kool-aid drinkers are to stupid to know better, crying shame.

Mr. Corsi is nothing but a bigot, anti-America. 4 years ago, he came out with a book against John Curry's Presidency and ultimately with that came the Swif-Boat. He's trying to do the same thing this election season, but fortunately his lies will not sustain this time around.
The legacy of President Bush/Cheney made American people little wiser and little smarter now to realize that those bigots far right fanatics are the enemies of America. They don't care about the image of America that has been salvaged by this administration because of Bush-Cheney and because of people like Mr. Corsi. America lost her prestige, lost her integrity, lost her dignity , lost her leadership role in the world and for Mr. Corsi that's fine with him. Because of what America has became, countries like Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, Peru, Zimbabwe and the rest of the majority of the Arab nations including those so-called allies, they don't listen to America anymore because they believe that America is full of people like Mr. Jerome Corsi the bigot and liar.
His book is full of lies by a bunch of unsubtantiated statements, try to plant a sead of doubt in the mind of certain voters in order to derail the election in favor of Senator McCain, eventhough that McCain has no clue about what's going on, and has nothing to offer America but the same old stuff. Has everyone forgotten John Kerry making a $1 million dollar bet with T. Boone Pickens that he would disprove the Swift Boat allegations by the end of 2007? Nothing has materialized. Gee wonder why. This just adds credibility to the Obama allegations.

THEN, I WILL BUY ME A CUP OF COFFE TO SPEND A NIGHT READING ITS CONTENTS- HIS BRAIN; THEN, I WILL SAFELY PUT HIS CHEZ-D'OEUVRE SOMEWHERE ON MY BOOKSHELLS; THEN, I WILL RETURN IT JUST ONE-SINGLE-DAY BEFORE OBAMA IS ELECTED; AND THEN, I WILL BUY ME A BOTTLE OF RED WINE WITH THAT REFUND; AND THEN, I WILL LAUGH; AND THEN, I WILL SLEEP FOR THE FIRST TIME, PERHAPS.
Good for Obama for pushing back! But why is the media covering this garbage book at all? This article doesn't list all of Corsi's fringe theories – but there's a bizarre list of things that he supports too. And we know that he's spread lies before, and only wants to cash in by spreading trash. So why is the media providing an outlet for him to do this? It's sad that Obama has to refute this on his own – the media never should have given coverage to this trash in the first place.

Might be a good time for news organizations like CNN to actually report the facts regarding this book rather than just getting a bunch of commentators to endlessly editorialize about it.
How about a nice simple breakdown of what this book of lies claims, compared to the actual, established facts? It's the responsibility of independent news organizations to help inform people so that partisan, dishonest pieces of junk like this don't muddle reality.
This lunatic obviously has no regrets regarding his first hatchet job. Hate to say it, but watch the polls slowly change in favor of McCain as, once again, a littany of falsehoods will generate fear among small-minded voters (i.e., those who essentially put GW back in the Whitehouse in 04). America, wake up! Don't fall for the lies and deception again. It's sad that a well-researched book like "Prosecution of GWB for Murder" by Vincent Bugliosi does not get any media attention, and this crap does, enabling it to be sold to millions. This country really is full of racists, bigots, and just plain dumb people who still think Bush is doing a good job, and that McCain will be even better. That scares me more than the Taliban does.

Why is it that Obama and his camp always pulls the race card when someone is telling the truth. I believe everyhting in this book is true and I'm sure there is a lot more to come. iF OBAMA BECOMES THE NEXT PRESIDENT WE ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE.
Oh and we're supposed to believe Mr. Bigot himself (Obama) after he played the race card against the Clintons and accused McCain of being a racist. I'd rather believe Corsi than any one of Obama's surrogates.

Will McCain denounce these same tactics used for Bush in 2004? Oh who am I kidding? His promise for respectful campaigning has already been abandoned in too many ways. Sad.

Funny thing is, BO's right-wing opponents have said very little that can be construed as truly "bigoted." Republicans play the anti-racist game as much as Democrats do, and constantly take pains to parade their anti-racist credentials. They even claim to be the original civil rights party!
