(CNN) - One day after reports that a new book slamming presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama would debut in the top spot on the New York Times non-fiction best-seller list, his campaign called the author “a discredited, fringe bigot” and sent reporters a 41-page memo laying out alleged inaccuracies in his latest release, “Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality.”
"Jerome Corsi is a discredited liar who is peddling another piece of garbage in order to continue the Bush-Cheney politics he helped perpetuate four years ago," said Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor.
"His is one of what will likely be many lie-filled books rushed to print this election cycle that are cobbled together from debunked internet sources to make money and advance a partisan agenda. We will forcefully respond to these smears with all means at our disposal."
Corsi co-wrote a 2004 work attacking then-nominee John Kerry’s military record titled “Unfit for Command”; the Obama team called its response “Unfit for Publication.” It plans to post the contents of the document in full on its “Fight the Smears” Web site.

I think Mccain bought few thousend copy of this book to make it best seller..
when will the obama machine stop being so negative. calling someone “fringe bigot” is not positive.
I hate to use a Republicans slogan(cause they usually are just filled with noise.) But Corsi is truly un-American.
As I've said in the past, some truth in can be found in rumors. ex: John Edwards. Obama will feel the heat as November nears. If it gets to bad he can always take another vacation..

Why is it that Obama and his camp always pulls the race card when someone is telling the truth. I believe everyhting in this book is true and I'm sure there is a lot more to come. iF OBAMA BECOMES THE NEXT PRESIDENT WE ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE

The fact that the Republican Party even NEEDS this man to write books filled with hateful and spiteful lies in order to strike fear into the hearts of the public is plain embarressing.

@ Independent Voter-Have you never heard of taking things out of context. You can take one sentence from a book and come up with one meaning, but when you have read the entire paragraph, it becomes clear that the meaning was not what you previously thought it to be. Just a thought.

Anyone can take a sentence from Obama's books, edited, and twisted whatever he/she wants. Does that mean those missintepretation and twisted words true? If you use your head, the answer would be NO.
Here, I challenge you really read Obama's books and then we could have a honest discussion here. Don't pretend you're an "Independent Voter." My parents tought me the most important personal trait is integrity. Have your parent teach you that??

What if he's actually RIGHT about Obama?
Now we see who the "real" person "Unfit to Lead" really was in 2004. .. George Bush. Who got us into a war with Iraq, Who lied to everybody about the reasons to go to war with Iraq, Who has done Illigal wiretapping on Innocent U.S. citizens. Who took a surplus of the treasury and truned it into a big deficit, I could go on and on but, I think you get the picture. Mr. Corsi would'nt know a good leader if he saw one.

Everything you will read in this book has already been printed somewhere else. A lot of it is based on the poor decisions Obama has made in his life. This is a clear illustration of how inept Obama is. How inexperienced he is. It's not racist. It's the truth.

When this book is sold in bulk to reach a best seller for 1 or 2 weeks is quite funny, even the list of Best Seller Books are marked with a questionable notation. We are smarter to believe the trash of today and recognize the dog's old tricks!!!!

i DO believe the parts of the book that are directly taken from obama himself. obama cant argue that. obama wouldnt have to go on the defensive if he had spent the past 18 months or so DEFINING himself to the american people. this is what happens when he doesnt tell america who he is, what he belives in and what his SPECIFIC plans are to fix our problems. if he doesnt like what people are saying about him then he needs to come out and tell us who he is.
