I drive my spouse crazy because I do not come up with quick, flippant answers when asked a question. I have to take 4 or 5 seconds to analyze what I want to say. This is why I like Obama, he is not in a hurry to come up with an answer. He wants to mull and process. Quick answers lead to bad results many time. Also I McCain is going to get Osama, where is he going to get the troops to do this when he is going to keep them in Iraq for years to come?

McCain went in there and said what he knew the "base" wanted to hear from him. The word "pandering" comes to mind. His answers were not thoughtful at all........he just snapped out canned responses in rapid succession. McCain takes an awful lot of positions that go contrary to Christian teachings to be touting himself as a person of great faith. He just this morning went before the VFW and talked about his committment to veterans even though he recently opposed the new GI Bill. He is two-faced and not to be trusted.

He won't need to find his way so much as the evangelicals will find more reasons to like him. Within the leadership, they have it in for Obama. He's black and liberal and, in spite of the rhetoric, the beliefs of the man just don't matter. Evangelicals would be the first to feed this Christian (Obama) to the lions.

They wish to pretend that it is a moral issue, but as soon as a faithful man like Jimmy Carter or Barack Obama presents the opportunity, the supposed faith-based voters find something else to talk about.

Pastor Rick Warren had different rules for Barack than McCain. He allowed MCain to campaign through the entire debate. McCain had quick answers because he knew the questions. Do you think he could have remembered all of the Supreme Court Justices when he can't remember anything else.

McCain was absolutely insincere on Saturday night. In addition, knowing answers to questions before they were even asked made it crystal clear that he cheated. It was obvious that McCain had been privy to the questions before hand and that he had time to craft answers, especially about his faith, that have no truth in them. I have been a democrat since long before I cast my first democratic ballot (1972 in the year of the first 18 y/o vote) at age 18.

I am now 54 years old and have been politically active and a true blue democrat all these years.

NEVER have I seen a more repugnant and despicable UNdemocratic group of supporters- of either party- as the Cult of nasty worshippers that Obama has inspired to support him and secure his nomination.

It is also quite easy to find your way on faith when you get the questions in advance. Don't expect the medias to cover the scandal at Warren's forum, they will cover this one like all the other grave mistakes McCain made.

On an other note, I know most of you can not remember a President who thinks before he speaks. When you complain about Obama stuttering or mumbling, it is because the guy uses what is commonly called a brain. Any sound response necessitates time. It allows the person to avoid saying bomb bomb Iran, talking about a Pakistan-Iraq border, ressucitates a dead country, mixing up Shia and Sunni and so on.

Apparently MCCain was able to listen in on Obama and Warrens question and answer session. That would explain McCain's answering questions before they were completely asked. NBC and the New York Times have broken the story, while CNN tries to bury it.

Now that Rick Warren a supposed minister has revealed that he flat out lied about McCrypt being in a "cone of silence", during the forum Saturday night and was indeed leaving his hotel and in the motorcade to the forum. If McCrypt is finding his way, it is because he was spoon fed the early questions prior to his stage appearance.

Only McCrypt, who is locked in the 1950's would say he was in a cone of silence, because he was not near a TV! While I agree he is too stupid to figure out that the phone Cindy bought him will stream video from the internet and CNN, but surely at least the Secret Service agents are update enough to show him, and if not them, then the chauffeur.

Obama hit one out of the park regarding his answer on what constitutes rich: someone who's sold 25 million books. Churches have lost tax-exempt status just for sermons. Everyone in CA knows that the region behind the Orange Curtain is heavily GOP. This was a campaign stunt for McCain, and that's why I refused to watch. I also believe he knew the questions before he set foot on stage. Especially when the question over the Supreme Court Justices was asked. I would ask any intelligent, information seeking and reasonable voter to go back and listen to that particular question and answer.

Also that the beginning of the program Rick said this will be an "interview like forum". I agree ATLian. Obama tried to give honest and thoughtful answers to the questions (as he was asked to do by Pastor Warren). McCain just went into his stump speech – he asked Warren if he could every time. Every single anectode he told, we've heard before. When asked about taxes, he talked about drilling. How does this candidate appeal to anyone? His platform has two planks – he's a POW and he wants to drill here, drill now. That's all the debates made clear to me. I dont see why people are making a big deal saying "Obama lost!". There really was no way to win or lose this forum, it wasnt a debate. The cards were clearly stacked in McCain's favor at the start of the forum because of republican's stranglehold on religion. I think Obama did a good job considering the circumstances. A sizeable group of people still think he is Muslim, he wanted to show everyone there is no basis for that rumor.

I watched the forum without bias. The forum was totally geared to McCain and I think, he knew the questions beforehand. he has never been so quick to answer any questions before. It was a set-up for Obama, just like the debate with George Stphanolopus at ABC.

McCain's war attitude and experience totally overshadows his political and faith views. As far as the Economy issues and Health Care and Taxes goes, he can only think and relate in terms of war and his sacrifices as a prisoner of war. Unfortunately, he has no solid plans on how to create jobs or improve our standard of living.
His image in the world is, he's a war monger.
Therefore, I know he would be the wrong choice for President.

Anyone that has recieved the Lord Jesus as their Saviour, when asked about it, would never deny doing so. They would also never beat around the bush with their answer. Jesus said "anyone that denies Him before man, He will deny before our Father in heaven". It seems to me that Sen. McCain has realized what the people want to hear. When asked by CNN if McMain was in the building while Obama was on stage Rick stated yes.... According to CNN McCain was NOT in the building. I am Christian but not an evangelical, and will not base my vote on abortion or gay marriage. I'm basing my vote on the actual values and moral judgment of the candidates as it relates to the Presidency. CNN, let's take a look at some honesty. Rick Warren told us that Senator McCain was in a cone of silence as Senator Obama's portion began. This was not an accurate depiction–Senator McCain was in a car on his way to the church. When asked about the cone of silence, Senator McCain made a joke instead of telling us he was in a car. This whole story is falling apart. This was the first and last time I listen to Mr. Warren, as he has a problem speaking the truth. Can CNN do a little journalism and get to the bottom of this? And I don't mean you should give Senator McCain the benefit of the doubt–actually investigate.

Makes sense to me that he responded the way he did. The position of president IS indeed more about having military service than it is about your religious beliefs. He has said he's Christian which means, yes he has accepted Christ as his lord and saviour so I fail to see why the question was asked in the first place.

Obama did NOT have any voters at that Forum. So I think anybody who changed his or her mind to vote for him is icing on the cake. The audience and the format were FIXED. As we know John McCain heard the questions on his way to the church. There was no "cone of silence" as the pastor said. The cone of silence was the fact that the house was stacked with the GOP.

So all in all, Barack did well. He held his own and I'm proud of him.

No, he did not find his way, he just got a little better at playing the game of "make believe." The PHONY is always easy to spot in a room. His name is John McCain.

economic policies. We want more balanced reporting. We want to have

Just pandering.... During the faith forum, I learned nothing new of McCain's faith and how it intertwines with his politics. I heard the same heart tugging POW stories and stump speech after stump speech.

McCain cheated on that silly forum Saturday. What does that tell you about his faith. He made the Reverund look silly. Here he is saying McCain's in a closed booth and the man hadn't even left his hotel yet. So he is sitting there listening to the questions. What does that tell you about his character. And he used a scene from a Ben Hur movie describing an experience in a POW camp. He is a low sick and deceitful man.

Leave faith out of politics!
