I don't care what he said about being SAVED or NOT – he NEVER once mentioned Jesus!!! He mentioned God once!!!! And I am surprised at his answer when he knew ALL of the questions beforehand – they should have schooled him a lttle more to get it straight!!!

Yes he is. I was truly inspired by his words at the the last debate. While McCain was answering questions head on, mr. Slick(Obama)was studdering playing both sides of each issue.

It appears that cnn likes to mold the information viewed her in the direction they want regardless if information has already been printed elswhere and brought to this foum. How democratic is that? I suggest you go see "www.mediamatters.com" and look at the Jerome Corsi book, "Obama Nation". John McCain should come out against this publication in full force because it attacks religion across the map regardless of which religion you come from. It is essentially the same book that he attacked John Kerry in "Unfit for Command". John McCain will not be saved and forgiven unless he stands against this vial and repugnant retorick. I drive my spouse crazy because I do not come up with quick, flippant answers when asked a question. I have to take 4 or 5 seconds to analyze what I want to say. This is why I like Obama, he is not in a hurry to come up with an answer. He wants to mull and process. Quick answers lead to bad results many time. Also I McCain is going to get Osama, where is he going to get the troops to do this when he is going to keep them in Iraq for years to come?

McCain went in there and said what he knew the "base" wanted to hear from him. The word "pandering" comes to mind. His answers were not thoughtful at all........he just snapped out canned responses in rapid succession. McCain takes an awful lot of positions that go contrary to Christian teachings to be touting himself as a person of great faith. He just this morning went before the VFW and talked about his committment to veterans even though he recently opposed the new GI Bill. He is two-faced and not to be trusted.

He won't need to find his way so much as the evangelicals will find more reasons to like him. Within the leadership, they have it in for Obama. He's black and liberal and, in spite of the rhetoric, the beliefs of the man just don't matter. Evangelicals would be the first to feed this Christian (Obama) to the lions.

They wish to pretend that it is a moral issue, but as soon as a faithful man like Jimmy Carter or Barack Obama presents the opportunity, the supposed faith-based voters find something else to talk about.

Pastor Rick Warren had different rules for Barack than McCain. He allowed MCain to campaign through the entire debate. McCain had quick answers because he knew the questions. Do you think he could have remembered all of the Supreme Court Justices when he can't remember anything else.

McCain was absolutely insincere on Saturday night. In addition, knowing answers to questions before they were even asked made it crystal clear that he cheated. Then, as a third strike, the "cross in the sand" story seems to have been lifted straight from the writings of Solzhenitsyn. Shame on McCain.

However, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Republicans cheat their way into the White House yet again. They've done it the last two elections.

Rick Warren should be ashamed of himself. He lied about the forum being fair and unbaised. It was obvious that McCain had been privy to the questions before hand and that he had time to craft answers, especially about his faith, that have no truth in them. I should have known that the forum was rigged against Obama. It was sickening.

He was not in "the cone of silence" and had his answers were prepared ahead of time and Rick Warrens knew and let him say whatever he wanted. Not even answering the questions and telling stories stolen from someone elses book (the cross in the sand from the book the Gulag.). His ads ahve been silly, offensive and untrue.

It is also quite easy to find your way on faith when you get the questions in advance. Don't expect the medias to cover the scandal at Warren's forum, they will cover this one like all the other grave mistakes McCain made.

On an other note, I know most of you can not remember a President who thinks before he speaks. When you complain about Obama stuttering or mumbling, it is because the guy uses what is commonly called a brain. Any sound response necessitates time. It allows the person to avoid saying bomb bomb Iran, talking about a Pakistan-Iraq border, ressucitates a dead country, mixing up Shia and Sunni and so on.

I have been a democrat since long before I cast my first democratic ballot (1972 in the year of the first 18 y/o vote) at age 18.

I am now 54 years old and have been politically active and a true blue democrat all these years.

NEVER have I seen a more repugnant and despicable UNdemocratic group of supporters- of either party- as the Cult of nasty worshippers that Obama has inspired to support him and secure his nomination.

Makes me ashamed to be a democrat. The very ideals we stand for have been betrayed by race-card playing, name-calling, insults and denigration of other democrats and of HRC.

That is fact. That will be a big factor in this election.

Apparently MCCain was able to listen in on Obama and Warrens question and answer session. That would explain McCain's answering questions before they were completely asked. NBC and the New York Times have broken the story, while CNN tries to bury it. So much fo John's faith and CNN's objectivity.. Now that Rick Warren a supposed minister has revealed that he flat out lied about McCrypt being in a "cone of silence", during the forum Saturday night and was indeed leaving his hotel and in the motorcade to the forum. If McCrypt is finding his way, it is because he was spoon fed the early questions prior to his stage appearance.

Only McCrypt, who is locked in the 1950's would say he was in a cone of silence, because he was not near a TV! While I agree he is too stupid to figure out that the phone Cindy bought him will stream video from the internet and CNN, but surely at least the Secret Service agents are update enough to show him, and if not them, then the chauffeur.

Obama hit one out of the park regarding his answer on what constitutes rich: someone who's sold 25 million books. Churches have lost tax-exempt status just for sermons. Everyone in CA knows that the region behind the Orange Curtain is heavily GOP. This was a campaign stunt for McCain, and that's why I refused to watch. Rick Warren and Saddleback Church should lose their tax-exempt status IMMEDIATELY.

Did McCain actually say he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior? He said he was saved and forgiven which means what to him? McCain could have said I like peanut butter sandwiches and the crowed would have cheered. They listen to Obama because there was actual substance to what he was saying. McCain told them what they wanted to hear in a Ross Perrot sound bite sort of way. Maybe I’m just not as bright as the rest of the world, but McCain didn’t bring anything to that forum. I also believe he knew the questions before he set foot on stage. Especially when the question over the Supreme Court Justices was asked. I would ask any intelligent, information seeking and reasonable voter to go back and listen to that particular question and answer.

McCain definetly knew the questions before the forum. I don't understand the lies about McCain NOT knowing. They can say all they want, but it was fixed. Also that the beginning of the program Rick said this will be an "interview like forum". In my book an interview is between two people...yet, Obama got chastised by the media because he didn't look at the audience Ift the people vote McCain they deserve 8 more years of BUSH. I think that true Christians already know the answer about McCain's faith. He and the GOP use religion and faith to get the only thing that they care about (besides money) in this world: POWER. You know that it's true. So, if you like getting used, go vote for McCain. The evangelicals felt burned by Bush after they helped him secure the presidency and he ignored their agenda, and it will be no different under McCain. Please, if you voted for Bush, prove that you can learn a lesson. Try to understand that, while religion is important, America faces challenges that McCain cannot solve. Vote for Obama.

Yet when McCain was asked that question he waffled and dodged and flatly refused to say yes. McBush attends a Baptist Church and yet has never been Baptized. 'my friends', ALL Christians recieve Baptism. McCain has said in the past that he is not 'Born Again'. He has referred to Christian Leaders as agents of hate and crazy. Many Christians will vote for McBush simply because he is the Republican candidate. That is their choice to make. But if Christians vote McCain and think they are voting for the Christian candidate, they are sadly in error. Obama despite his liberal upbringing and views. Is the committed Christian candidate who does not hesitate to proclaim his Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ.
