Geri, How convienient that you don't mention how the Hillary supporters are nasty, rude, racist and downright vengeful because she did not win/steal the nominiation yet! Obama supporters are calling the Clinton supporters just what they are: babies. If they were true democrats and supported whoever won the nomination then the Obama supporters would not be saying anything but thanks! All of you so called democrats who say they will vote for McCain are true Judases or just repbulicans in democrats clothing - either way you are all very scary people - I am scared for the US if the election goes to McCrazy because of your kind!

ok if he is going to support the billarys, he better not talk.. but i am sure the clintons have something on him too..
he is looking for his own recognition, all of these people have become so entangled into themselves, that they forgot about the American people
i am begining to sense so much dissapointment from the democrats,

and i think that we are so divided, thanks to the queen and king, that McCain and McBush won YET again

it works, Billary's trick and Rush L, tricks worked, after all Hillary a republican always a republican.

I think Gore is an excellent choice for speaking at the convention. His message is clear... and all he wants to do is help save our Earth. Who better than Gore to bring the real issues of the US failing policies to the forefront at the convention and set a new direction for our country and our new leaders? Clean energy, energy independence, no blood for oil and green, sustainable living are the only way we will ALL survive.

Go Obama! You can do it!

All Gore suffers from the same PR problem with the right wing as does his former boss, Bill Clinton; they're both smart, capable leaders who left no room for complaint from the republicans, other than (in Clinton's case) a private matter that should never have been investigated or made public in the first place, and had absolutely no bearing whatsoever on his actual job as president, which he exectued better than any other man in the last 40 or 50 years.

It's like Governor Ed Rendell of PA always says..."What was it you didn't like about the 90's? Was it the peace, or was it the prosperity?"

I want to know why this man is not over in China lecturing them about their carbon footprint? They are the planets BIGGEST polluter yet not one single word from Al Gore. All he does is lecture us over here in the U.S. to change our ways to “save the planet”. He won't start his crap over there because he can't make any money over there. If his silence about China doesn't prove he & all the other global warming alarmists are full of it, nothing does!

aware August 19th, 2008 2:06 pm ET

Another loser takes the podium!

Obama certainly revealed his dark side at the Rick Warren Forum. His equivocating answers and foolish statements left voters a clear choice!

McCain crushed him! It was the Commander in Chief versus the professor! :)

McCain 08!

--------
McCain cleary had gotten the questions beforehand. The old man had time to think.

Had it been a true cone of silence then he wouldn't have been as clear as he was.

The truth is coming to light.

To Kathy, We elect a president to run our country. If his home life sucks(divorce or whatever) that is his private business. It wasn't one of Bill Clinton's campaign promises to keep his pants on. We all have made mistakes in the past. I would much rather have a president that has a divorce in his past instead of being linked to Muslims, Hate Churches, crime figures and does not believe in Christmas.

You guys are funny---Gore couldn't win his own state of tennessee--
After all the bickering about how the election was stolen---Not only was it proved that he really lost --ABC or CBS recount---
All of this could have been avoided if he carried his home state--
He should count polar ice caps for the rest of his life and stay out of politics--

I'm so happy to hear that the Democrats are pulling out all the stops for this convention, it's gonna draw so much attention and build so much attention for us that there will be no stopping an Obama administration come January 2009!! This country needs to be reminded of how great things were under the last Democrat who ran it and by having Bill and Hillary Clinton and now Al Gore speak at the convention we're gonna do just that. Barack Obama's already a rock star, now let's show the country we really mean business! Obama '08!!! Let's win this thing!

Okay, now are you ready for this....Durring the Iran Contra scandal with Ollie North and then President Reagan....The same bank was issued a subpoena from the Federal Court System....We were to track back all bank transactions from Amon Lemon's (Iranian Guy) since his first transaction to the bank. Guess what wasn't part of the subponea the WIRE TRANSFERS. Each transfer originating in Iran through Iraq to Canada then New York to Texas, were never less than 5 Million and never less then 2 times a week.......???? When Al discovered there was a Federal Court subpoena he FREAKED OUT and went balistic....thank GOD for the ability to make SCUD missels....., now if we only knew what Al and Hillary know we could probably prevent...World War III. Oh maybe Al and Hillary have a back up plan kinda like the Failing of Maddison Guarenty Savings and Loan in Arkansas...and maybe they will frame Bill for that as well....or finish killing all the people involved with the two differnt banks that began WITH VINCE FOSTER.......Hey guess what the McDougals are spread out as well....You have your James McDougal in Arkansas and your James McDougal in Lubbock Texas.........Where the Real Estate Empire ended up....Now they are trying to come into Dallas through Irving, Texas.....Delbert James and Mark James McDougal keep up your appointments with Al and Hillary, How many times do you think Al and Hillary visted you in Lubbock in 1994.....Three times I know of....

Annoy the Media, Say NO to Obama August 19th, 2008 12:30 pm ET

Dear Obama supporters,

You folks blast anyone that mentions Hillary. Please don't forget that during the primaries, Michelle said that she would NOT support Hillary if she was the nominee. So you people are critizing others for doing exactly what Michelle claims she would have done.

-------------------------------

First of all, Michelle is personally connected to the campaign and witnessed a lot more of it than us. If she made a decision based on her experiences not to support Clinton, I can't say she's wrong for that. ...especially given the way she personally attacked her husband.

I am a supporter of Obama, and I do not hate Hillary. As a matter of fact, I like her very much. If she were the VP choice, I would be very excited because she is capable and strong and they would make an amazing team. I also want to see universal healthcare come back to the forefront.

If Obama chooses Al Gore, I would be equally ecstatic because will Gore be in a stronger position to make this nation green. The idea wasn't popular when he was VP before (especially since congress and the senate were ruled by RNC back then), but it will be now and he'll finally have the support to make big progress.

Most importantly, Gore has a great track record and experience as VP when our economy was strong. What more could one ask for?

Gore was one of the best potential presidents in recent times that the party had. He had vision and leaderships skills that America badly needed at a turning point. He lost the election and he became known for the visionary he is. He has another vision and that is for Senator Obama to be the next president of these United Sates. If we join in his vision maybe we can become wealthy once again as a nation.

Geri - I see you failed to mention fox news, is it because you know they're in McCain's bed? Is it OK for them to be unbiased for McCain and Clinton? If you're going to give us a talking down to, you really should explain your favoritism of and how you think fox news is any different when they have the likes of Hannity and O'Reilly?

Gore deserves it. He help the Clintons have their best years and the way the man could pay in return was stupid skirt issue that cost Al Gore his chance. But he is the best honest man as compare to the man Clinton who keeps on jabbing at Obama by praising McBush. Gush! At this time of the campaign? A sore loser. Again, bravo Obama for giving Al Gore such an opportunity. Another gent will be Kerry

You are one blind person. Open YOUR eyes and see that Obama IS ON THE LIBERAL EXTREME SIDE OF THINGS! HE IS THE MOST LIBERAL PERSON IN THE SENATE! HE IS EXTREME> JUST LOOK INTO HIS PRO-PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION BELIEFS. prochoice or prolife, none of these people BUT OBAMA feel that a baby can be aborted in the 4th trimester. HE IS TRUELY SICK!

I really wish those who have Bathroom degrees (meaning that all of one's "expertise" comes from magazines read while crapping) would stop with all this CARBON FOOTPRINT nonsense. All that does is make those who use a bit less energy feel all warm and fuzzy.

Climate change is an incredibly complex issue that will require far more work than a simple little math "equation". Just take a step back and really thing about the whole "CN" banter. To be truly neutral, everything in your world, not just your car or a few light bulbs, has to be neutral.

I am not a "denier". We are messing up the planet. Fixing it is going to be made harder when all the folks who proudly claim to be CN come out of the woodwork and believe that they have nothing more to do. It will be up to "everyone else" after all, they have done all they can do.

Another loser takes the podium!

Obama certainly revealed his dark side at the Rick Warren Forum. His equivocating answers and foolish statements left voters a clear choice!

McCain crushed him! It was the Commander in Chief versus the professor! :)

I think history will show that Al Gore is one of the great statesman of our time. And I think it will show that he was right in speaking out about global climate change. For these reasons, I anticipate his speech. So all the nasty, negative attacks and name-calling in evidence in this blog, if remembered at all, will just be seen as one of the dark sides of human nature: many people hear only what they desire to hear, and believe only what they want to believe.

It's called ignorance, and history always betrays the ignorant.

To Democrat: Thank you for your wise counsel and your service to our country. I am now an independent who voted for Bush 1 who was a very competent and capable president and Gore in 2000 as I wanted to see the good times continue after Clinton. That said I disagree with many of Obama's positions but I am voting for him because of 2 reasons.

First like you stated the world has changed and we are no longer the only super power. We need someone who can listen and talk with other world leaders and garner their respect. McCain has made it clear that he will not speak with our enemy which is immature and proven as wrong for that was the way Bush operated for 7 years and you can see where it has gotten us.

Secondly, I will not vote for another "C" students for the White House. The world as you stated is far too complex and our leader today more than ever needs to be an intellectual. We need someone smart and with good judgment. McCain is a respected war hero but that is not what we need. We need a thoughtful, intelligent and level headed leader who will help us re-join the global community.

Please America, no more partisan politics - simple vote for the smartest, brightest and most likely candidate to bring our country together.

I am wondering in what manner is Barack Obama a loser. This is the man and his campaign that beat out the Clinton machine. He did so by running a flawless campaign and has made records in online donations. For those of you that call him a loser I am just wondering by what standards you run your life, how successful you are, and maybe you should find a thesaurus to find a better adjective.

I'm sure Jim is right, but he doesn't go far enougn. If Obama loses because of the Clintons, it's not just black votes that Hillary won't get. And PUMA's who plan to vote for McCain would do well to investigate him on the subject of women.

Since McCain is a Democrat there really is no suprise with all the moderate Democrats voting for him.

As for Gore, he brings absolutely nothing to the convention. If anything, he exposes the left wing of the Democrat party as radical loony's. This cannot lead to anything good for Obama and can really hurt the party when Republicans hammer Democrats in the fall on energy.

karen-phoenix. If you did your homework you would know that 4 of the Keating 5 were Democrats, and 3 of these were found guilty. McCain and John Glen were found to have do nothing wrong. I guess you don't believe in the core American value of innocent until proven guilty. Google it and see, and stop spreading lies.

To All the PUMA's and so-called dischanted voters:

2000 was the first time I ever voted in my whole life. And I voted for Gore. Needless to say, we all know how that election turned out. I felt cheated out of my vote and was like So much for Democracy.. And then I voted in 2004 and lost too with Kerry/Edwards ticket. This time around I'm voting for Obama and I don't intend on losing again.

The point is please don't ruin it for everyone else by being sore losers. She lost fair and square. Because even though my first vote was really stolen, I didn't say 'that's it. Im gonna start voting for someone else now'.. No I stuck by my team, in whole. Vote Strong, Vote Democrat

Steve/Houston,TX for Obama August 19th, 2008 12:44 pm ET

debkansas August 19th, 2008 12:20 pm ET

They all wanted the vp spot. They all backed stabbed Hillary. I have no use for any of them. I hope that Hillary keeps her delegates and give Obama to think about, or can he think on his own.
====================================================

Hillary Hillary Hillary! I can't live without Hillary! Hillary Clinton makes the world go around! People please give me a break! The primaries are OVER; she LOST! Move on, she has. I know that for some, this was the first primary that they ever voted in and for some reason are not very familiar with the process. There was no campaign out there to get Hillary. The DNC did not have it out for Mrs. Clinton. The process was not made up as the primaries went along. Florida and Michigan violated rules that have been in place and they had to suffer the consequences. If Hillary supporters want to be mad at someone and want to march in protest, protest in Florida and Michigan where they do not know how to follow the rules!
****************************************************************************
6 other states broke the rules too, look it up. They all voted for Obama
and they were all included. If those other six were not counted Obama would not be in the running today. I hate Hillary and would vote for a fifth grader over her but fact is that the dnc disqualified 2 of 8 states that moved up the primary date. Funny that the states they got rid of were states Hillary would have won.

Al Gore is such a pretender... it hurts. He pretends to be a scientist -- He is NOT. He pretends to be smart.... yeah, he's so smart that he couldn't finish divinity school or law school....

On top of being a pretender, he's such a great hypocrite -- first making oodles of money in the Gore tradition of raping the earth and now reaping profits from his global warming snake oil industry. What a louse.

J Houston, you are clearly NOT a scientist with any education in earth science if you are so stupidly determined to disbelieve Gore's climate discussions. Those of us who are educated in earth and climate science and who have Ph.D.'s in the topic understand that your point of view has no merit and you don't know what you are talking about. Gore has got it right, he is on the correct side of the issue, and people need to listen to him. Hopefully this country will wake up from its oil-induced lethargy and get on the ball regarding climate and fossil fuels. It's high time.

To "Average,"

You liberals crack me up with your theories about grades during college. Would you have used that as a criteria of comparing Nixon to JFK in 1960? Are you to tell me that McCain is not credible as a candiate because of what he did in college? Pardon me, but McCain spent his growing years serving in Vietnam, while Obama has admitting to having been an abuser.

Do you really want to base your opinion on what these candidates did in their youth?

Didn't think so. I suggest you either change your criteria or find a better candidate before picking on a guy like McCain, who suffered years of torture in service of his country. Name a single thing Obama did which is comparable in his service to his country.

Nothing like the scare tactics of the phrases "left-wing" "socialist" and "liberal."

Is this what we should be worried about after the past 8 years of a freedom-stripping administration? John in Ohio put it exactly right!

Where is Gore on the Clinton's trying to steal the convention and the VP slot from Senator Obama. He should get some guts and stand and tell the Clinton's they are wrong.

I DO NOT WANT CLINTON AS THE VP CHOICE!
