McWar is planning on explaining how he was dumb enough to get caught early in his military career, and spent a long war being held captive. Wow what a hero. No guns blazing – shoot your way out of anything – defend America. Just tortured spilling your guts against America. Through diplomatic means he was allowed to live. It's laughable that people consider him a hero and strong on war. He spent his time in captivity. He was flying a plane he was too dumb to know how to fly and got shot down. Maybe if he wasn't a C student he would have been able to learn the technics to manuever out of position and not get shot down. My grandfather flew endless hours fighting in the same war and he came back a *Real American Hero*.

Watching McCain throughout this campaign it's obvious he can't or won't think for himself. He waits for Obama to make a move and then he attacks. It wouldn't surprise me if he names a Democrat and a pro-choice VP – Obama will. McCain seems a little desparate at times.

I can't believe the drama surrounding the VP has lasted this long. I'm surprised no one has said enough already, end the long pageantry contest and begin addressing the issues Americans are waiting for, like economy, energy crisis, who's "winning" the war, etc. If Mccain becomes Pres. he will be pro-life, but continue the war. It's alright though, he can go to church and be forgiven.

I've just spent a month in the States (I am a Londoner) and have followed both camapigns with great interest.
Of course, like most of Europe, I am hoping that an Obama presidency can reinstate America's moral standing in the world. Then perhaps our own country will take note and follow suit.
I whooly endorse Irony's statement above- being pro-life should include the innocent civilians of Iraq and Afganistan as well as the troops of several nations.
McCain supporters I met on my trip to your country seemed to fall into a similar mould- never have been abroad and therefore no perspsective of their own government's actions.
The world is shrinking and isolationism or an I'm alright Jack attitude which are rooted in some moral high ground will see the American empire implode, like the British Empire and every empire in world history.

I am sick of hearing about the night that changed McCain's life. I have a couple POW friends from Nam who didn't get the same fine treatment as McCain because their daddy's didn't have the same pins and ribbons. In other words, they were blue collar workers who worked to feed, clothe, and house their families. These men were tortured beyond belief. They came home broken and crippled. They didn't have a parade like J. McCain did and they didn't cheat on their wives. And they DON'T wear their POW status as a medal.

As far a Ridge is converned, this man screwed up Homeland Security. He is also pro-choice. The evangelicals will have a fit if McCain picks him, and it will show them that McCain only gives lip service to get himself votes!

The Constitution says a natural born citizen can be elected POTUS. But does not have such restriction for a VP spot. Once elected, Arnold could become a president should McCain resign or fell ill.
