Obama's event Saturday is at Springfield’s Old State Capitol, where he launched his presidential campaign.
(CNN) - Barack Obama's campaign confirms that the Illinois senator will hold an event in his home state Saturday, kicking off the "roll into the convention" - but would not confirm or deny reports that he might be joined on stage by a running mate.
The event will be held in the Old State Capitol in Springfield - where Obama first launched his presidential bid a year and a half ago.
If after Saddleback's Saturday "conversations don't show every intelligent woman and man what McCain will do to the Justice System and the White House then I give up on having faith in humanity. McBush will drive for war, let the oil barons have their way and we'll have a continued infrastructure falling apart, more Katrina's, more unwanted pregnancies, women lose the right to choose and poverty will grow.
Obama is our hope because he's a HUMAN unlike these other Washington panderers. Obama will set a new tone and he's urged all of us to keep him on track. Which we will do but he's got the courage to do a lot of it with the help of the more decent Washington folks of all parties, races, ages, sexes and religions.
