I felt Lieberman had gone over to the Republican side some time ago. I guess this shows it. Time to move his desk across the aisle. Oh and find a good Democrat to replace him when he stands for election.

This would be the seal of death for McCain to choose him. Liberman is not a republican. And he's not a democrat. No one can trust him on either side of the aisle.

Country before party? How is that? By supporting the guy who says he doesn't know the economy---the number one problem in this country? The guy who hired Carly Fiorina and Phil Gramm as his advisers?

The one who is willing to stay in Iraq? Go after Iran? And send UN troops to Georgia (oh yeah, the country one of his top advisors lobbies for)?

Did you guys vote for Bush in 2000? How about in 2004 after his true colors came out?

And aren't you the same guys who were ticked at Chuck Hagel when he went to the Middle East with Obama?? I guess bipartisanship is good only under certain conditions.

Zell Miller irrelevance.

Nobody likes a turncoat. People use traitors, but they don't trust or respect them afterwards. What happened to Zell Miller afte rthe '04 RNC convention? Nothing. Nothing at all.

Soon as the Democrats get 1-2 more Senators into the Senate, Lieberman is out. And he'll definitely be out next time he's up for reelection.

He's missed more Senate days than McCain and Obama and he's not running for Preseident. It like he's playing hookie from School.

As I read these comments I realize why I do not connect with democrats, they always preach tolerance but are very ignorant. Lieberman was elected by his constituents not the Democratic Party. One could argue that Arnold is a democrat in disguise. The nation (both parties) need to work together. The American people must accept who wins by the majority and then move on and work together instead of the constant whining. Mc Cain and Lieberman are trying to show how it can be achieved. Chill out and work together.

Lieberman was NEVER a good or true Democrat. He is not an Independant either.

It is time for this two-faced loser to tell it like it is. HE IS A REPUBLICAN, a Bush brown-noser and hungry for the V.P. slot.

Should McCain pick him, as I hope he will, Lieberman will NEVER get the Jewish or Independent vote, as people see him as he really is...a liar and hypocrite!

Maybe he is just smarter than most of them and sees the importance of protecting our nation....Change....the only thing left of your paycheck if Obama wins (Socialist)...

"I would just like to take a moment, after being seriously sickened by reading about Georgia, Russia and Poland, and personally thank all the Hillary supporters voting for McCain.

Being an ex-republican I am absolutely DISGUSTED with the direction this country is going, but I have come to the realization that a country like ours is only as good as those people who are willing to be civically responsible.

So thank you PUMA and Clinton/ McCain backers for the onslaught on WW III, economic depression and marshall law. I realize of course, that I am a bit premature in my gratitude but I have every confidence if any ignorant selfish people could pull off completely destroying this country and democracy it will be you.

Hats off to the misguided, uniformed and just don't give a darn population!!! Putin, Iran, and Osama are counting on you!"

From No More! Aug 20……..I completely agree

He's not the traitor...the Democratic party here in CT was the traitor to him, after all of his years of wonderful service to CT in the senate. It certainly wouldn't have been good for our state if one of the most powerful men in the senate went down to Ned Lamont, and the interference of national democratic powers in our state election for the senate on behalf of Lamont was obviously NOT appreciated here.

Lieberman is a man of principle who is beyond partisan foolishness. We need more people like him in Washington.

Lieberman is just hoping to get the VP slot so he doesn't have to get disgraced by being kicked out of the Senate by the voters in CT. When he lost the primary to Ned Lamont, Lieberman realized he had to shift to the left, and did so for the general election. Now, here is he supporting John McCain, a man who will endanger Israel by inflaming the Middle East further, a man who will end Roe v Wade through Judicial appointments (a measure Lieberman claims to support), a man who's tax cuts will disproportionately favor the richest Americans (again, something Lieberman claims to oppose).
Better hope McCain has a VP seat for you Joe. Otherwise, I think you may be burning whatever bridges you have left in strongly Democratic CT.

Isn't it pitiful to watch little Joe chasing after McCain like a puppy dog. I guess Joe is short of friends these days.

Someone mentioned work in the Senate. McCain hasn't been to the Senate floor in four months and Joe is in and out, mostly out chasing after McCain.

Why all the animosity? As I read these comments I realize why I do not connect with democrats, they always preach tolerance but are very ignorant. Lieberman was elected by his constituents not the Democratic Party. One could argue that Arnold is a democrat in disguise. The nation (both parties) need to work together. The American people must accept who wins by the majority and then move on and work together instead of the constant whining. Mc Cain and Lieberman are trying to show how it can be achieved. Chill out and work together.

Funny....the only ones who care about Joe is the Republicans. After his choices in the last year or so...... I hope John McCain will have something in his cabinet for the sen. from Conn. I am going to guess that Joe will have great difficulty keeping his Senate seat in the future.

His comments are useless considering he doesnt even know where he stands on issues - come on man, are you democrat, are you independent, are you republican, or is it all based on who rubbed you right the night before.

I don't support McCain, but Lieberman is no traitor. It's like he says, folks: get past partisanship so we can some things done. Competent governance of this country has been paralyzed since Ronald Reagan let the rabid right out of its cage 30 years ago. We need to put loyalty to the country's needs and goals above loyalty to ideology -- which most politicians have talked about but few do. Lieberman is one who does and should be admired for his courage and example, not vilified for not toeing a party line.

Joe is not acting like a congressman. He should be citing with his own party, the democrats on issues. But he choose to act in the best interest of the country to elect a man with experience ready to lead. Obviously he is less concerned about chairmanship and more concerned about our country's future. Joe is not acting like a regular congressman.
