No Clinton on VP ticket !? Obama say bye bye to this election.
Who is #2 ? 19-million People have spoken. So why go against people's choice !!! Play by democracy. Listen to people, remember at the end DNC to end the primary, he won the primary only because of unpledged (or super) delegates.

By the people, for the people = is democracy.

No wonder why his polls are reducing against McCain. & I'll not be suprised even Obama looses with no Clinton for VP.

So now we are going to say in addition to born citizen, if your family member was already a President then you can't run for presidency !!?

Obama probably wants to move the White House to Chicago too. How could the Democratic Party move their headquarters to Chicago, that was so wrong. He is just a human being not a Messiah that the Media and the Democratic Party made him into.

"pat - It's time for this young, educated Democrat to go Republican in 08. Hillary Clinton would have been a great choice - even if he choses her as VP, I doubt I will vote for the losing Obama ticket."

I am a young, female and educated Democrat. I could never vote for a party that has a belief system that is polar opposite of mine. HRC was not, and will never be my choice.

Hillary is already working behind the scenes to change the rules to her advantage for her run in 2012. You can bet that she and Slick Willie are working behind the scenes to get Obama defeated.

The really funny thing about this is back when there were still slaves, we came up with a compromise that made a slave 3/5 of a person. Hmmm.. 3/5> 1/2.... Ouch, Florida and Michigan are now considered less than slaves in the eyes of the Dems.

Who cares when you vote, nothing changes in the views of the candidates, unless they decide to jump on the bandwagon (Offshore Drilling anyone?). By voting earlier the states only hurt themselves for not taking the time to become more informed.

Interesting that Hillary complained about the caucuses. But it was the Clintons who pushed for the frontloaded primaries because they thought she would win quickly. Now they are crying because their master plan didn't work.

Have you noticed how staunchly Obama stands up against the current corrupt system and advocates for change? I bet you have. Have you then also noticed that not once did he actually break the rules, but instead played by the rules and used them against his rivals at every opportunity? I bet you haven't. In fact I bet that you yourself have criticized the system, but when that system worked for Obama and against his rival you immediately retorted to 'rules are rules.'

Obama: speaks about how bankrupt the system is and how we should abandon it... but when it comes to action he sticks to and plays the system as it is, criticizing his rivals for going against the rules... Do you still consider him an 'outsider?'

Why are people complaining about caucuses? The caucus system did not start this year. Other candidates had competed in caucuses and go on to win the presidency, like Bill Clinton. Why do we need to change the rule just because Hillary cannot win in caucuses?

Let's just have one national primary day. And only people registered in their own party should be eligible to vote in their election. I'm tired of political positionings and medlings for people who don't even belong or believe in these parties.

puma jess from 7:00, you may be right and you may be wrong. I can tell you I'm not paid by anyone to blog on these sites.
I'll tell you one other thing, as a Clinton backer.
I'm tired of the 8 years of Republican rule in the white house, and 6 years of rep rule in congress.
It's amuising and also sad to see the stand-in in congress by reps who NOW want to do something about energy prices when they were in TOTAL CONTROL just 2 years ago at this same time. I don't remember any of them then, with a Rep president, asking to be called back into session for anything.
Look, Clinton didn't win. Period. You can argue all you want, but she didn't win.
You're left with two choices - one who oppoes virtually everything she champions in McCain. Or, a person who champions 95% of everything Clinton pushed for in Obama. If you want the vote against yourself, please don't complain when someone (perhaps yourself after realizing what you did by not voting for Obama) looks to have you institutionalized at a mental facility.
Not being ugly, rather I'm being real because we're in a big world of hurt and only an overwrought, uber emotional person who voted for Clinton is going to now support McCain and continue that big can of whupp arse we've had for the last 8 years.

My dad also was an officer in the navy in WWII, my uncle Tommy a west point graduate and decorated war hero in Korean and i served from 63-65. My dad was republican chairman for our county, everyone in my family thinks it's a sin to vote for a democrat but i have to say this time I AM BITTER ABOUT THE WAR YOU AND BUSH AND CLINTON GOT US IN WHEN THERE WAS ZERO REASON AND NOW WE CAN'T GET OUT WITHOUT A WORSE PROBLEM. I AM BITTER that there are families welcoming their loved ones back from iraq in a casket, I AM BITTER that we had a republican president and congress and did not help the people who the Bible says we are supposed to. I am voting for Obama and I am not a kid—I am old enough to see what you have done to this great country of ours and I am so ashamed. If you meet St. Peter in Heaven please explain why the greatest country in the world is so self serving and why we have babies going to bed hungry—-in this country. I AM BITTER AT WHAT YOU AND BUSH HAVE DONE TO THIS GREAT COUNTRY and see a young A. Lincoln in Obama who one day will have students studying his works as we do Lincoln. SHAME SHAME SHAME

To the party that said 80% of the comments are from Obama supporters is about right. They have paid staff and volunteers who do nothing but blog all day. They attempt to control the comment sections on all the news oranization. They attack all negative articles and add compliments to all of the postive one's and thereby control the story. They engage in name calling, mean, nasty and degrading remarks. Most of them don't even act like adults

I live in Michigan; I voted "against the rules" in a LEGAL election, and my vote must count. This was a stupid DNC rule, not a law, folks. In the US, LEGAL votes cast must be counted (except in Florida, evidently...thank you Supreme Court for the last 8 horrendous years!)
Regardless, I believe MANY Republicans voted in Democratic primaries to wreak havoc, because McCain was the nominee so early, so they had nothing to vote for in their own primary. And I do believe those people voted for Obama because they see him as easier to beat.
I pray that Hillary earns LOTS of votes at the convention, and then is named VP. Can someone think of a time when a race was so close and the two candidates DIDN'T make up the ticket? He needs her, badly. If he doesn't want a riot at the convention, he should name her VP before then! Then it really would just be a solidarity vote. If he names someone else this weekend, I think he's in trouble. Dems are getting very worried about McCain's teflon suit.

It is clear to me that most people blogging don't really understand the reasoning behind this call for a primary calendar. Republicans Governors and their constituents out numbered democrats and controlled the changes that were made which created this whole mess. With the primary calendars changed it will prevent them from doing this and Obama is right on.

My friend called me and invited me to the Republican Convention and I said no way, I may be a Republican, but the Democratic Convention will be more fun to watch. I love a good fight. Can someone get me a ticket to Denver. Go Hillary you can still pull this off, Obama does not have all the votes.

didn't obama vote to change the rules regarding public financing before the primaries then decided it wasn't to his advantage so he broke the rules. I'm sure whatever they come up with will have a loop hole just in case he runs again. Michigan Florida half vote the rule is the rule and we must follow the rule. after the primaries I BELIEVE FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN should have a full vote. YOU sen. OBAMA can believe whatever YOU want but WE don't believe YOU. you can fool some of the people ect

'The goal would be to make sure no votes were held before March, with the exception of a handful of party-sanctioned contests in February.'

How is this any different? Is this like when Iowa and New Hampshire were instructed not to hold their primary until February and then received a 'special exception' to vote in January?

The Democratic party is full of numbskulls. Glad I switched to the Independent Party after my vote was ignored in MI.

Those voting for McCain are ignorant.

That said, it seems to me that the democratic party is catering to the Clintons. I'm not a Dem, so I feel like an outsider to this conversation. But, Hilary has done so much damage that it's insane. She felt entitled to the nomination and couldn't even manage her own campaign.

Oh my gosh, I was just reading through the posts on Mitt going to Denver for the DNC convention. Such unwelcome remarks from I would guess Democrats. You'd think old Mitt had steped on Super Man's(being Obama) cape or something.

Do all the Republicans who live in Denver have to leave town too for the DNC convention? What a snarly crowd. I think if I was a Republican living in Denver, I'd stay inside and lock the doors and watch the DNC convention on TV. Next to McCain, O'Riley and Hannity are pretty much our favorite heros. But old Mitt is moving up a notch going into this war zone.

If the DNC take him prisioner, I hope they stick to their position to not torture terrorists.

Caucuses should be eliminated first. . My sister-in-law and others in her Texas precinct were shoved around and many went home without their support for Hillary Clinton counted. A complaint was filed, one of many. Kathryn - Obama has eliminated some of Hillary delegates and replaced them with his. I read some in FL, at least one in KY and some in other states. It sounds like to me the roll call vote will be a fraud.

Hillary was proclaimed and embraced by the media as a front runner a year ago, Bob Schieffer declared it game over last fall. Bill Clinton stepped over the line in the primaries and cost her a shot at it. We have to remember that in this country there is a segment who will not vote for a woman, a black man, a Mormon, a Jew etc. So Obama or Clinton start in the whole to begin with. If Obama chose a woman as a running mate, he would make it worse.

It's about time, change is sorely needed.
I believe that our political system is so compromised that we have to change the way we select Presidential candidates.
No more party primaries, all you need to do is be on the ballot come November.
Clinton, Huckelbee, McCain,Obama, Romney and Ron Paul, all duking it out to the President. Finally taking the choice of candidates out of the hands of the few and into the hands of the many.

The new "wonder" commission will probably have the same players as the one that voided the votes in MI and FL. Too little, too late. Until the special interests of IA, NH and SC are ignored, nothing will be fixed. The Democratic Party needs to sweep the house clean and start again!

BO, Pelosi, and Dean are really getting scared that many of the deligates are going to switch and go with Hillary durring the roll call. Kind of like once Hillary was out of the picture (so they thought), then the DNC and Obama wanted to give Fla. and Mich. full votes!
Hmmmmmm Now I wonder which deligates they will be eliminating?
Looks like another ploy to make sure Hillary supporters don't make a fool of Oboma and the DNC.

Anyone is free to go and caucus. They represent the will of the people who bother to show up, just like primary and general election voting. We've had caucuses for decades. Now all of a sudden, because they didn't favor your candidate, caucuses are evil? Because your candidate didn't plan for them, tried to blow them off (because she had an idiot for a strategist who didn't even know that the delegate system was proportional and that she couldn't get all 370 delegates from California), and the strategy backfired on her, now you want to get rid of them?

Sorry, you have to come up with a better reason than that.

the ground work is being layed for 2012…..mr obama you beter hope you didnt make a HUGE mistake not putting mrs clinton on your ticket….because SHE WILL BE PRESIDENT……the question is if……its when….it could have been as your successor in 2016…..but it looking more and more everyday like she will be our canidate in 2012….i hope shes better to you than your were to her….but that wont be hard…..

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dude, why don't you just try to make an intelligent comment about the primary season calendar and whether it needs changing, instead of blustering stupid threats to Obama that he is never going to read anyway?

Obama should worry about McCain closing the gap and possibly taking the lead. Change the rules if and when you win the election.

"But the problem is even Hillary's people agreed to the rules and everything for this primary season. They are complaining because THEY lost."
---

First, she DIDN'T lose - she suspended her campaign. I thought my neighbors in NE were a little more informed than that. By party rules, Obama can still lose. Do you think that is fair?! I support Hillary but the nominee should not be elected by the supers (AKA DNC) - you'd be pi$$ed if they selected Hillary and I'd have to tell you: Those are the rules, he LOST. It's not democratic. It's not fair. It's the whole point of this conversation.

Do you think it's fair Iowa gets to vote first? I live here and I don't! It makes no sense...when did suggesting a correction to a flawed process become whining? Because you say so?

Looks like Obama would agree, hmm?

Get your head out of the clouds and look at the process with an objective eye. This is bigger than you, bigger than Hillary, and definitely bigger than Obama.

Frank....stop being a girl! Hillary wanted to change the rules in the middle of the game. If you were even slightly honest and not so angry about backing a loser who can't balance the budget of her campaign, then you would honestly admit that. She was fine with ALL OF THE RULES when she thought she was a shoe in. None of this was a problem for her UNTIL she started losing.

The only reason Hillary would have a lead on McCain is that:

1.Obama supporters are smart and understand what is at stake

2.Obama supporters are not racist

3.Obama supporters are not sore losers

4.Obama supporters will vote in thier best interest, even if it is not the best candidate

5.And Hillary lost fair and square, she needs to stop crying sexism

Too bad, to late Mr. Obama and his friends at the DNC. The media have totalled about 23% of Hillary supporters "still holding out" from supporting Mr. Obama. They continue to try to delude the public with what that means. I'll tell you what that means! Those are folks like myself, who are changing parties and committed to getting Mr. McCain into the presidency! The DNC can choke on that one!
