McCain ad highlights Rezko connection

McCain is out with a new ad.
McCain is out with a new ad.

(CNN) - On the heels of an aggressive effort by the Obama campaign to exploit John McCain's recent inability to recall how many houses he owns, the Arizona senator's campaign is launching a new television ad slamming Obama over his dealings with disgraced Chcago businessman Tony Rezko.

"Barack Obama knows a lot about housing problems," the 30-second ad's announcer states. "'One of his 'biggest fundraisers' helped him buy his million-dollar mansion. Purchasing part of the property he couldn't afford."

"From Obama, Rezko got 'political favors' including '14 million from taxpayers,'" the narrator also says. "Now, he's a convicted felon, facing jail."

The McCain campaign said the ad will air in "key states." Earlier Thursday, Obama's campaign released a housing ad of their own referencing his inability in a Politico interview to name the number of properties he and his wife own.

Based on the comments I've read on this blog the polls are about to change quickly! Americans have not been sleeping they're wide awake. And looks like McCain will be enjoying his Comfy Chair and taking a long vacation sooner than I thought! Hip Hip Horray! Don't let the door hit you in the behind on your way out John! Surprise Americans are too savy to the Repugnicants less than honourable tactics used to win at any cost... CYA John .... Enjoy your easy millions
in one of your ? who knows how many probably tax free mansions and best of luck to you. No More Lies, Wars and Tax Cuts for the Big Guys Obama 08 !

Well this is nothing compared to the Ayers add that I saw on Fox. Obama, his campaign and Kaine opened up a can of worms now and all Obama's skeletons will come home to roost again.

The Rezko connection is just the tip of the iceberg. Obama's ambition stops at nothing. He's a fast-talking nobody with hateful supporters. I will not be voting for him!

Oh, I see. When Obama's camp tries to tie McCain to some scandal, it's "that away Obama." But, when McCain does the same thing it's a dirty lie. You liberals are pathetic. Grow up.

We already know about Rezko and Obama was not involved in his illegal dealings but we do need more about "Keating 5"

Has McCain and his advisors forgotten about John's dealings with Keating? How soon we forget.

  11. Guess Who?????

It doesn't matter once the voters made up their mind they won’t see the different. Why don’t we all just sit back and wait until after November to see who will win? None of the two will let any of us move in to the White House with them so let them fight each other for their spot. Just a suggestion to save your time and energy to go to work so you can support your family. I know I will good night I need some rest to go to work tomorrow so I can by some expensive gas and some foods for my family.

    MILA:

You know NOTHING about the facts. This ad has already be PROVEN and VETTED to be a complete lie. Obama WAS able to afford that home, and he bought it at market price. He bought a small plot… 10 foot strip.. to expand his back yard a little bit.. which he ALSO bought at market price.

So before you go off spouting ignorance… learn the facts. It's people like you and McCain that make this country so disgusting to live in.

Actually Gene, the lots were being sold together. It was both or nothing. The Obamas could NOT afford the full asking price for both the house and the vacant lot. Lo and behold along comes Tony Rezko. Willing to buy the vacant lot. He then sells 1/6 of it to the Obamas. Can we see the bill of sale for the ten feet? Rendering HIS (Rezko's) lot useless. Who wants vacant property that nothing can be built on due to the size? Without Rezkos help Obama could not afford the house. Look it up.

So before you go off spouting ignorance… learn the facts. It's people like you and Obama that make this country so disgusting to live in.

That's right, Obamabots, you're supporting someone with DIRECT relations with a criminal and was involved with him in a property scam for his own million dollar house. Obama's as crooked a politician as they come.

Obama's house deal makes him well qualified to be Mayor of Chicago in 1929.

    McRichie Rich;

The Obama campaign issued a response to the ad from spokesman Tommy Vietor saying that a key player in The American Issues Project, Ed Failor Jr., is a paid McCain consultant.

"The fact that John McCain dispatched his paid consultant to launch this despicable ad from a so-called ‘independent’ committee shows how desperate he is to change the subject from his shocking disconnect with the economic struggles of the American people," said Vietor. "He knows that Barack Obama has denounced the detestable crimes that Bill Ayers committed forty years ago."

The Obama release points to an article from National Journal last year noting that Failor "signed on with 2008 White House hopeful John McCain this January," and links to an old McCain press release trumpeting the hire.

Hopefully the truth about McCain will come out. CNN talks a lot about Obama and Chicago politics, maybe you should do some research about McCain and Arizona politics.

I thought McCain wasn't going to run a dirty campaign? Well shows how much you can trust him.

Mccain offers the nation a real path to energy independence that will create a new energy boom in this country will millions of jobs. All this while we secure our economy and military against a choke hold of middle eastern oil.

Obama prefers to count houses, play celebrity and push changes....as in changes of positions to align with the latest opinion poll results.

The choice is clear. If you want to gamble, vote Obama. If you want security, vote Mccain.

McCain has no honor. He cares more about winning an election than doing it with honesty. I'm not questioning his patriotism, but I am questioning his judgement. Shame on you, John McCain.

It Was A Very Simple Question, How Many Houses You Own!
    And Bam!

"BUT the question must be asked, what did Obama's campaign do that would require a doffing off of the gloves"
