The Associated Press reported Friday, sourcing a Democratic official, that Virginia Gov. Kaine says he will not be Barack Obama's running mate.

None of you have heard CNN/AP from Bayh or Kaine directly, nor I guess HRC. Because of course they were politely requested not to do so, an did so
If I were an evangelical type I would be questioning your morals CNN and AP and even more so the so called democrats ( sources 1 or 2 in each case). For sure if I found out who they were they would never get any position of responsibility or support as their morals are despicable.
Why oh why cannot you ( your sources) wait a few hours and give the presumptive democratic nominee the simple human right and respect to make the announcement himself !!??
Regards,
Hodgson.

MODERATE CALIFORNIANS for MCCAIN   August 22nd, 2008 11:12 pm ET

This election will come down to one issue:

OBAMA WILL RAISE TAXES

MCCAIN WILL NOT RAISE TAXES

If you think our government is doing a great job and you'd like to send them more of your hard earned dollars, then go ahead and vote for Obama. THE ONLY CHANGE OBAMA WANTS IS THE CHANGE IN YOUR POCKET.

However, if you want REAL change, McCain is the far better choice. Experience and substance is what will turn the country around.

LOOK AT THIS:

Bush has no experience.
Obama has no experience.

Bush has never had any career success.
Obama has never had any career success.

Bush has never shown any true leadership.
Obama has never shown any true leadership.

Bush bobbed and weaved out of real military service.
Obama NEVER served. NEVER even thought about it.

Bush has never had any substance.
Obama has never had any substance.

THUS

BUSH = OBAMA.

Let's elect someone with experience, leadership, and substance.
Let's elect someone who will not raise taxes.
Let's elect John McCain.

Hold on, I just got a text message. Breaking News…Senator Obama selects for VP….Barack Obama!!! The only man for the job. And you won't need to change your bumper sticker! Hooray!!! Wait, there's even bigger news! Senator Obama will be releasing another book called "Barack-of-All-Trades" which will be in bookstores next month. Get your copy before they're all gone!!! Yes he can!

Marie   August 22nd, 2008 10:01 pm ET

The AP turns a blind eye when it comes to McShame in their reporting. Why should anyone believe they may have the inside scoop on Obama's happening. Give me a break. The AP knows what I know about the VP pick and it's timing……..NOthing.

Sean from Jersey   August 22nd, 2008 10:00 pm ET

Interesting, I really thought it would be Kaine! Guess not…

Adam   August 22nd, 2008 9:57 pm ET

Well of course he wouldn't select Kaine. Who in their right mind would select a guy who has the hairstyle of bozo the clown?!?!

Mickey the Fish   August 22nd, 2008 9:56 pm ET

That's okay. He's got funny hair.

PoliticoMike   August 22nd, 2008 9:55 pm ET

He's a nice guy, on a personal level, yes he'd be my pick. But strategically he was not the right person.

I hope Obama hooks him up with a great position in his office.

R.B.   August 22nd, 2008 9:54 pm ET

Evan Bayh of Indiana

You'll see!

Mike in Houston   August 22nd, 2008 9:53 pm ET

Gov. Kaine, the luckiest man in Virginia to not have to be on a left fringe ticket to oblivion.

DannyCali   August 22nd, 2008 9:52 pm ET

No more vote for Obama he's lied…..waiting too long for announce his VP. Drop Democratic and vote for McCain now on.

Kaine is out! What a surprise! It was a shock that he was ever in. If this is how Obama handles difficult decisions, eleventh hour game playing, Putin is licking his chops already. This display of "leadership" is tired already. I have the audacity to hope for 2012 to get here as soon as possible.

E.C.Coleman   August 22nd, 2008 9:42 pm ET

AND WHO CARES? IT'S SO STUPID FOR OBAMA TO ACT LIKE SUCH A FOOL ABOUT IT. NO ONE CARES AND HE'S PROLONGED THE ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE DETRIMENT OF HIS STAFF AND CAMPAIGN. IT'S TOTALLY DUMB AND RIDICULOUS.

Ms. Hasan   August 22nd, 2008 9:42 pm ET

Kaine is not worthy. He has let his racism show just a little. But, he'd be loads better than the Clintons. The Clintons even today are trying to destroy the Democratic Party and Democrats in general. When anyone checks the background of either Hillary or Bill Clinton they will find a S_ _ _ load of skeletons in their closet and a boat load of corrupt people that contributed to their library and their so-called helping the poor org., Bill Clinton is helping himself and the Bush family by joining forces with Big Daddy Bush pulling in mega bucks just on their names and not giving anything to the American people that are pooooooooooooor.

NOBAMA   August 22nd, 2008 9:40 pm ET

Tamara   August 22nd, 2008 9:39 pm ET

Any choice Obama makes will be a bore if it is not Hillary Clinton. Why not Hillary?? Biden give me a break…… Obama will announce around 12.00am so All the kids will all get the text. Gee I am so excited. Grow up OBAMA. The Republican are putting you into a box and you are stepping right into it.

If Obama wants to unite the party and the DNC wants to be forgiving

PICK HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

independent now   August 22nd, 2008 9:39 pm ET

what a bunch of crap all of this is. I think this has back fired on Obama the only people excited about it seems to be the News Media. But they have always been excited about Obama. I am still voting for Hilary Clinton. This whole campaign has been a CIRCUS. This is immature and attracts kids. Lets see if they put down their xbox controllers and actually show up to vote for Obama. If I actually had second thoughts, this just confirmed to me Hilary gets my vote. All the talk about poss HC vp was all talk. Just like his Change campaign. All talk NO SUBSTANCE.

Robert   August 22nd, 2008 9:38 pm ET

Onyx335   August 22nd, 2008 9:36 pm ET

That's okay Mr. Kaine. There is still a wealth of work to be done. You will certainly find an appropriate place to deal with AXIS OF EVIL as we now call it the Rethuglican Party.

Loyal to the BITTER end!

Obama 08-12

Obama Richardson 2008!!!!

Kjetil   August 22nd, 2008 9:32 pm ET

I hope Obama will pick eighter Sebelius, Napolitano or Biden. All three have great experince and have good values.

I like Kaine also, but would not like him as a vp because he dont support even civil unions. That kind of values are not good enoghf for a democratc vp i think.

JohnBoy   August 22nd, 2008 9:32 pm ET

Will the VP be a TAX AND SPEND liberal?

More TAXES, Tax the rich, rich is bad, Democrats will make everyone poor.

MORE TAXES, the goverment know best for you.

Thank God we have a real American running for president.

McCain 08

CC Reston VA   August 22nd, 2008 9:32 pm ET

Stop the Hate   August 22nd, 2008 9:32 pm ET

I'm glad its not Kaine in a way, think he'd be alright, but Biden seems like a better choice to me!

No wonder Hillary wasn't picked, it is obvious that no one wants Obama to lose more than Mr and Mrs Clinton.

S. Boatman   August 22nd, 2008 9:29 pm ET

Its Not Hilary Clinton Either! Obama Was Gracious Enough To Give Her The Bad News With A 3 Am Phone Call Letting Her Know She Wasn't Even Vetted!

McCain '08
Less Jobs. More Wars.

Obama/Biden '08/'12!!!!!!!!

Scott L   August 22nd, 2008 9:28 pm ET

What about George Obama? If Barack can't help his half blood brother in Kenya who lives in a shack and on $1 a day, what makes you think he can help America???? Pathetic…

Duop Wuol, Colorado Springs, Colorado   August 22nd, 2008 9:28 pm ET

Therefore, it is likely that the VP will be Biden.

Susan from Scotts Valley, CA   August 22nd, 2008 9:27 pm ET

Joe Deeter   August 22nd, 2008 9:27 pm ET

I've been an Obama supporter from the beginning. But, I'm starting to lose my *excitement* for Obama. Instead of being a new agent of change, I feel like I'm being sold the same old goods in new packaging…. Kinda like the X-Files, I want to believe….but I'm stuck in Trust No One….

flicktick   August 22nd, 2008 9:26 pm ET

Who cares which loser a loser picks.
