(CNN) – Eager VP-watchers waiting for the text message announcement of Barack Obama’s choice of running mate have gotten their answer: It’s Hillary Clinton. And Tim Kaine. And Kathleen Sebelius.
Since declaring the Democratic vice presidential pick would first be announced over e-mail and text message, several hoax announcements of the Illinois senator's choice have circulated, purporting to be from the Obama campaign.
The latest came in e-mail Friday morning that hit the inboxes of many White House reporters, carrying the subject, "My Vice President."
The e-mail, from the address obama08campaign@aol.com, was purportedly from Barack Obama and read, "I said you would be the first to know, and you are - I have selected Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine as my running mate!”
No word on when the real e-mail will be sent.

I am suspcious of who may be behind these hoax e-mails regarding Obama's VP choice. When the real e-mail comes from Obama, people may think that it is also hoax and don't care about it spoiling all the excitement built up so far.

The media sold a lot of advertising today, hoping that he would announce today. If they don't get viewers like they promised to the ads they sold, then they don't get paid. This is an example of the media doing whatever they can to get those viewers.

Have you bashers actually READ the article above? The fake messages are not frmo Obama playing games, they are pranks. I personally think the text thing was a wonderful idea, and a great way to reward his supporters for being there for him. Reminds of when Michael Jordan came back from retirement and sent a fax to ESPN that simply said "I'm back." Why should the media be the first to know everything; Especially as negatively as they try to portray Obama.
