Fake VP announcements sent...even to White House press

Obama has yet to name his VP candidate.
Obama has yet to name his VP candidate.

(CNN) – Eager VP-watchers waiting for the text message announcement of Barack Obama’s choice of running mate have gotten their answer: It’s Hillary Clinton. And Tim Kaine. And Kathleen Sebelius.

Since declaring the Democratic vice presidential pick would first be announced over e-mail and text message, several hoax announcements of the Illinois senator's choice have circulated, purporting to be from the Obama campaign.

The latest came in e-mail Friday morning that hit the inboxes of many White House reporters, carrying the subject, "My Vice President."

The e-mail, from the address obama08campaign@aol.com, was purportedly from Barack Obama and read, "I said you would be the first to know, and you are - I have selected Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine as my running mate!”

No word on when the real e-mail will be sent.

The headline on CNN's homepage read "Obama calling losers". I didn't think he would ever phone into the Rush Limbaugh show. Imagine that...

If he doesn't pick Hillary he's even dumber than I thought and with Americans struggling to fill there gas tank and trying to figure out how to heat there homes this Winter this clown suggesting we send a BILLION dollars to Georgia convinced me he's either pretty dumb or doesn't want to win.

How ridiculous the media looks camped outside the possible VPs homes...like a bunch of stalkers...makes you hope that Obama has selected someone else and they are safely inside the Obama home (that he bought and is paying for through hard work and brilliant writing).

Good high-tech concept but clearly did not consider the possibility of hackers. And people wonder why folks are nervous about black box election machines with no paper trail.

If it's not Clinton, it really doesn't matter.

It's not going to slow Obama's sinking. The guy peaked in March, a little early.

He's going to lose in Nov and it's not even going to be close.
