Fake VP announcements sent...even to White House press

Obama has yet to name his VP candidate.
Obama has yet to name his VP candidate.

(CNN) – Eager VP-watchers waiting for the text message announcement of Barack Obama’s choice of running mate have gotten their answer: It’s Hillary Clinton. And Tim Kaine. And Kathleen Sebelius.

Since declaring the Democratic vice presidential pick would first be announced over e-mail and text message, several hoax announcements of the Illinois senator's choice have circulated, purporting to be from the Obama campaign.

The latest came in e-mail Friday morning that hit the inboxes of many White House reporters, carrying the subject, "My Vice President."

The e-mail, from the address obama08campaign@aol.com, was purportedly from Barack Obama and read, "I said you would be the first to know, and you are - I have selected Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine as my running mate!”

No word on when the real e-mail will be sent.

Doesn't matter who he chooses- people vote for the top of the ticket.

Obama is going to easily win with the record turnouts of young people and African-Americans who wouldn't have even gone to the voting booth without Obama on the ticket.

Why isn't CNN reporting that Obama is leading in Alaska and North Dakota, as well as being tied in Montana?

Instead of stalking VP contenders outside their homes, why doesn't the media interview the millions of Americans who are suffering from 8 years of Republicans in power?

All you fussy people on here, you know your excited too, otherwise, why are you on here waiting. I'm still hoping for Hillary to be the one. I'll sure be disappointed if she is not, but I believe in women, and I know that we can accomplish anything no matter our differences, if we would just stick together. War belongs to men of greed and no conscience. Go Hillary!!

Hillary asking to be VP is like an abusive husband asking his wife to take him back. The things she said about Barack were way out of line and ruined her chances. By the way, to any Hillary supporters that aren't weaselly republicans, America and Obama don't respond to threats.

I am starting to lose all interest in Obama's running mate. He is turning the whole thing into a three ring circus. Childish...that is the "Change we can believe in".

Vegas: Typical Limbargument. When you lack intelligence, name-calling seems to be the next best thing to some people.

Wake up. Your party has so devastated this country, our treasury, other countries and our reputation in the world Obama is now the "tool" who will be dismantling your party's gears this election.

I don't care if you like that or not. It's what you get for buying the party line. Try changing channels on that radio once in a while.

Brilliant ! Our man is Brilliant ! He said he would announce it when he was ready so those of you saying 'announce it already' need to realize he didn't cause this circus, the media did. He's just playing along and that shows good management. Look at all this free press! Glad to see my money being very well spent! Thank God for you Barack! You Rock!! Hope you are enjoying your well deserved day off !
