(CNN) - Barack Obama’s campaign continued to slam John McCain for his house-counting gaffe Friday with a new ad and a dozen events in nationwide – mainly in fall battleground states - designed to paint McCain as wealthy and insulated from the nation’s economic woes.
“Call it ‘Country Club Economics,’” says the announcer in the new ad. “How many houses does he own? John McCain says he can't even remember anymore.
Watch: Obama ad portrays McCain as 'out of touch'
“Well, it's seven. No wonder McCain just said the fundamentals $5 million a year is middle-class.” After a pause, the announcer continues: “Maybe McCain thinks this economy is working...for folks like him. But how're things goin'...for you?”
The closing screen reads: John McCain. We just can't afford more of the same.
Yesterday, Obama himself said that McCain’s remark revealed a “fundamental gap of understanding” between McCain’s world and “what people are going thru every single day here in America.”
The 30-second spot is Obama’s second to hit McCain on the remark in two days, and his sixth negative spot in the past three days. It is being launched as the campaign holds events designed to highlight McCain’s comment across the country, including Missouri, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Montana.

Have the morons which are upset tha McCain does not know
how many houses he (and his wife !) owns that it is his wife who
manages the personnel finances and he concentrates on his
work as senator and politics ?? And did these upset persons do not know that Cindy is a hundred-millionaire ??
As you see, McCain is not much concerned regarding his finances and therefore will try to make money offering pardons and other presidential favors !!
To: Don R - November 3 - I thought the election was November 4 - get an education!
John MCcain has more knowledge in his little finger, then Obama will have the rest of his life. Obama's an empty suit, talks smooth, but doesn't have a clue.
The American Dream is the opportunity to make something of yourself, regardless of your background. If you finally do work hard to become something and educate yourself (which ANYONE can do) should you be taxed up to 40% because there are those who don't see the possibilities?
The "Rich" usually own businesses and corporations, which is why they get tax breaks. If you raise their taxes, what do you think will happen. Oh, that's right, they'll lay people off to pay the taxes. What sounds great for right now will hurt our economy even more.
Before you vote think about the consequences.
McCain '08
I dont want to get drafted.I want to sit in mom and dads cellar and blog for Rush Limbaugh and create Chaos. But I will tell everyone to vote for John McCain because hes the good guy, like Rush.
Senator McCain on any given day doesn.t know what day of the week it is much less how to lead this country. SongBird only knew how to do what it took to save his own skin when he was a POW.
All politicians are out of touch.

"Johns not out of touch,he wants your kids to signup for the Draft."
Actually Democrat Charlie Rangel is the one who has initiated legislation in the last few years to bring back the draft.
JOHN McSENILE = POW = PERSON OF WEALTH!
do the math?
the rich taking care of the rich; while americans suffer!!!!!
Obama is saying that McCain has too much money because he has 7 houses and some people have none.
I know people who have more than 7 houses because they take risks and invest in real estate. That is their livelihood.... they buy and sell houses .....it's their jobs.....and they keep more than one house for themselves.
I'n more interested in why the Obamas gave so little to charity.
They are millionaires...they live in a mansion......they KEEP it for themselves.
Do the Obamas want McCain and his wife to sell her houses and give the money to who?.....for what?
The McCains gave more money to charity than the obamas.
I suppose you could call this and other Obama ads about McCain "negative", but they are based on facts or statements by McCain, and are not made up or outright lies. Since McCain is the gift that keeps on giving Pbama has no reason to do anything other than draw attention to the man McCain.
Does it seem odd that the movers and shakers of the Bush administration fought for years to keep an open withdrawal date for American troops in Iraq, but now that it appears the GOP will lose the White House in addition to a veto in Congress, all of a sudden a withdrawal date is just a breathe away? So much for the good of Iraq!!!

Can somebody please clarify "Experience" for me? What exactly are you refering to? Does your boss at work know how to do your job? does the CEO? Experience is a red herring used by people who can not think for themselfs. Give me somebody with common sense and the ability to select a team of experts anytime. The way to address issues is to listen to all sides and decide after weighting the various inputs. This lifetime repubcican (60 years) has had enough of the GOP. by the way, i wrote in Barney the Dinosaur in the last election.
John doesnt want abortion. He needs them born to join the many battles he has ready for them.
