Of course the republicans are going to drag out that video of Biden criticizing Obama during the primaries. I would expect nothing less from them! He was right, at that point in time, to say what he said. But, now is now. Obama knows where his weaknesses lie and chose the absolutely best person to strengthen the ticket. Obama is not a fool. I'm very happy with Biden. If old McBush wants to get down and dirty and play the doesn''ts, he's picked the wrong guy to mess with. Biden wont back down from a fight, especially from McBush. I'm so looking forward to what's ahead now. We have a very balanced ticket now, so BRING IT ON JOHNNY!

I am thrilled with the Biden choice! He is someone who has made a career saying what he thinks and fighting for what he thinks is right. Also, I think it IS really good that Obama chose a running mate who has the kind of experience Biden does. As much as I strongly, strongly support Obama, it does make me feel even better to know that he will have someone who has been around the block a number of times and who isn't a suck-up as his close advisor. I hope that McCain picks Romney. Those two absurd phoneys deserve each other.

Regarding experience, let's see, George Custer, Herbert Hoover, Richard Nixon all had lots of experience. Sure helped. There was, however, a fellow from Illinois whose national experience was limited to one term in the House and that was ten years before he was elected president. His name was Lincoln and, if memory serves, he didn't do so badly. For those, such as Shannon, Southern State, and McCain '08, who will vote for McCain because Hillary lost the nomination, you'll get what you deserve--someone who favors the old boy systerm, opposes equal rights and the woman's right to choose and who honors women by dumping wife number 1 when she's injured and picking up a rich trophy blonde.

The fact that the McCain campaign was so quick to bring this ad out just shows what kind of propaganda the GOP is famously for fabricating. The GOP criticizes the Biden pick as Barack admitting that he has a weakness with foreign policy. I think the adverb changes to Barack had a weakness. Selecting Biden, the Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee shows that Obama is smart enough to try and shore up if weaknesses instead of trying to wing it. When McCain picks Romney, will the GOP also say that McCain is trying to shore up his weakness on the economy. If this strategy continues we need to check and see if the GOP has a fork in their tongue.

And to you Hillary Clinton detractors and GOP trolls, Biden was the best pick for Hillary to continue her ambition to be president one day. I think the sentiment is that Obama will win and after 8 years Biden would not be interested in running because of his age. Picking the younger guys such as Warner, Bayh, Kaine, Chet Edwards would have helped their efforts to become president after Obama's time in the office.

This was Obama's decision to make and he made a good choice. And stop with the elitist crap already, McCain over 8 houses compared to Obama's 1 and McCain thinks that rich is having over $5 million dollars. If Obama is an elitist, McCain is a super-elitist!

Rule number one do not pick a VP who dropped out early due to lack of support over a person who had more popular votes than you in the primary. This is how you split a party in two. Now those of us who supported Hillary feel we don't matter to Mr. Obama. So I guess it makes sense to either stay home in November, or vote for McCain, who by the way will pick a woman as his VP, or write in Hillary. HMMM...choices....choices.

Obama chose Biden to try and match mccain on his experience. I think he is looking at the gerneral election and where the reps can attack him. Obama has little foreign relations experience as well as little time in DC. Biden on the other hand has more experience than any other senator and balances the card. It is a very wise move that hopefully wont alienate too many hillary fans. Lets face it though.....do you really want another republican in office. I couldnt take another 4 years of facism!
