(CNN) - Sen. Barack Obama has selected Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware as his running mate on the Democratic ticket for the White House, three Democratic sources told CNN.
While early this seems to be a very disappointing and anticlimactic choice, Obama is running as the change candidate and yet he chooses a Veteran of the Senate who is known as the "walking gaffe" machine very disappointing that he didn't choose someone who would be more consistent with his change message

I was not excited about Obama or HRC, but would have voted Dem anyway. Now that he's chosen Biden...who I've always maintained was the best Dem choice for Pres...I will work hard to get Obama elected. Thanks Barack...Joe is Right, and how you'll have him as a trusted partner. We are behind you both.

I would have voted for Obama if Clinton had been his VP choice. Not any more. I will now vote for MC Cain.

And with that choice, it's NOOBAMA. for me What voters is Biden going to bring in?????? His being on the ticket is supposed to do what???? What happened to his message of change??? Is he trying to tell me that Biden is not a Washington insider? Frankly, to me it was a gutless choice. The man is afraid of Hillary!

I, too, am wondering what the heck happened to the text message.
And frankly, disappointed that Clinton wasn't dealt with properly.
Obama seems to be campaigning to not lose rather than to win. Democrats may be sorry, ultimately.

Hmm, the VP is more experienced than the Presidential candidate. Not sure what Obama was thinking in making this choice.
Yes Biden has the foreign policy experience but it just highlights the fact that Obama doesn't. I don't think this was a smart move by Obama.

Obama's whole campaign has been about change, Joe Biden does not represent change so it's back to old politic's. If MCcain puts a woman on his ticket, he will win, and probable win anyway. Obama had the chance to have 18 million voters thrown in his lap., but couldn't cross his own party lines to make amends with Hillary, so how is he going to work with the republicians, he's not, so it's politics as usual. The congress want get anything done, just as it is now.
