I campaigned for Hillary from the day she announced her candidacy, throughout the entire drawn-out primary, and I am proud that I was elected as a delegate for Hillary to the Convention in Denver. And I am proud to unite and pull our party and country together, as Sen. Clinton has requested of all her supporters, in working our hearts out to elect Sen. Barack Obama as president and Sen. Joe Biden as vice president. Every Hillary supporter I know feels this way. I suspect most of the comments here that claim to be from bitter Hillary supporters are in fact written by Republican "trolls" seeking to stir up trouble. Do a few "PUMAs" exist? Sure, but so few as to be statistical noise.

Obama still had a chance with some of us if he respected our 18 million voices. But he didn't even consider HRC and had an aid give her the news. What a slap in the face to her supporters.

Deceive yourself all you like. We are democrats, and we care about the country. that's why we are voting for McCain.

Wanting the best for America is not something we should GET OVER. Nobama!!!!

To all you PUMA's, go ahead and whine, get it out of your system now. IF you decide to either stay at home and not vote or even worse vote for McCain, you can wish all women's rights that have been fought for good bye!

To some of you women, who continue to cry for Hillary to be written in, what are you all thinking about? She has battled hard and lost, but she is not forgotten. She will be part of a new democratic party that will change the mess we are in now. She will have a chance not for 4 or possibly 8 years but might have a chance to sit on the most important "bench" in the USA for a very long time and avoid the McCain train wreck he wants to do.

Give it a break, please....

To all your republicans who pose as democrats - get a life!

Protip to McCain's Campaign:
When your rival announces his running mate before you do, do not issue an attack/negative statement within 15 minutes of the announcement. Wait 12 hours, when everyone's awake.

Everything McCain lets his campaign get away with just drives me that much farther from him. GET CONTROL OF THIS - DOES NOT LOOK GOOD (because he's either not in control, or he's a paranoid hate monger).

Protip Txt ppl:
I blame the networks. Obama made them sit on the news until the 23rd, and they took it literally. Once it was midnight, they broke the news. How the heck is Obama's people supposed to beat that?

By any chance did this leak to the press that Biden had been chosen come immediately after Hillary was told she didn't get the job?

I think Hillary and her Ellen Jamesians (World According to Garp reference) are the most spiteful selfish anti-Americans I've ever seen.

On August 28 when Barack Obama officially speaks as the first African American nominee for president it will mark a monumental milestone in American history. It's importance to not only black Americans but people all over the world who belief in justice and yearn to find the best in human nature will be enormous. The history of the United States has been tainted by racism. This speech in Denver is a major step toward healing.

For Hillary Clinton's supporters (not all of them, just the militants) to want to destroy that beautiful moment for people who will be watching with tears in their eyes all over the world is despicable.

I love how everyone is upset because they wanted a VP who voted against the war. That would only leave Kucinish. I'm sure we would all love to have that idiot onthe ticket. No matter who Obama picked, it would have been somebody who voted for the war. If you base you vote on taht alone, you truly don't need to be voting. There are many issues you have to think about when voting. Not just on one.

Obama has no respect for Bill Clinton -- he made it clear by saying that Reagan and Republicans had all good ideas and ignored the most successful presidency of Clinton. If there was any change in democratic politics after Kennedy's it was Clinton's. He successfully worked with a highly confrontational Republican controlled house and senate, made the right choices for the country and left it economically more sound.

Hillary is the first democrat to run based on that legacy of Bill's, and came very close to winning the primary. Instead of showing respect for the Clinton administration and Hillary, Obama decides to ignore Hillary. I doubt Bill or Hill will go to bat for Obama this fall.

This ill treatment of democratic successes and base should cost Obama a lot. His arrogance should put him in the right place -- in the group of naive democratic also ran's. Pragmatism and working with adversaries is key to good governance -- even when they are trying to impeach you :(

I just don't get why Hillary supporters are so pist at Obama. She wailed on him happily for 15 months and acted like she was annointed. He simply beat her in the delegate race. If she didn't have just a Super Tuesday strategy she'd likely be in Obama's spot, but it's not his fault he ran a better campaign.

If you are pist, be mad at her campaign, the media or whatever.

Did you really think Obama could govern with Hillary and Bill next door. The idea of it is fantastic, but they are simply too powerful to play second string. It would not have worked.

Hillary will play a big part in getting universal healthcare done and Bill will help repair our image along with Showing the world we can vote in the best candidate regardless of race or age.

Let's just BEAT these idealogues with brains and savvy and get our reputation and economy back. 8 years of mismanagement is enough.

I don't think this thing will even be close now. Obama picked an 8 term senator and is calling himself the candidate for change??? The guy is a charlatan, pure and simple. Talks to the people with his preachy reverand voice and basically says nothing. He showed how innept he was during the debate..McCain was decisive while he was all "ummm...well... ummm.. thats above my pay grade" . Without a teleprompter he's shows just what a lightweight inexperienced empty suit he really is. McCain has plenty of flaws as a candidate but between the 2, he's a far better choice with his experience and knowledge than Obama would be.

What a fantastic choice!

And to Hillary supporters, I'm absolutely serious when I say that Hillary can be far more effective and influential as a high level cabinet member than as VP. I think this'll turn out to be the best arrangement for everyone.

It's a good night.

If Florida and Michigan get full votes at convention and use those numbers in the primary count HIllary won. This is a prime example of the failure of the leadership at the DNC and why I am afraid that combined with VP pick Obama will lose in November.

I can't believe some of you people. I don't know why you people think he owed her anything. This is a presidential race. No one should pick someone because she is owed it. People get real. I am a republican. But I can see myself why He pick Biden. Hell I would have too. I will vote for him just because he showed integrity and made his own choice. And I was a hillary supporter. If this is the case All presidents would choose the looser if that is what was owed to the looser. Get real people. And for you people say that you will not vote because of his choiec, that is stupid. Especially you women, look what women had to go through just to get their voices heard to vote. But I will say, CNN hit the nail right ont he head when they said some people will vote for the other or will not vote because he was not of their race. How ignorant of people. God will shame you for this. Underneath the skin we are all the same and bleed the same. And you know what else, I have had so many people in my family loose their homes and McCain can not even remember how many houses he has. That should tell you that not only is he slow, you can tell that he has never had to really deal with real life problems. I was listening to him the other day stating that he wanted people to have the choice to send ther kids to the good schools like he and Cindy sent their kids. Why bus/charter your kids to other areas? Just give the poor schools money. That would be the reasonable thing to do. He is the one out of touch and not understanding the real life issues that people deal with.
This is real people, stop hating and vote for what is good for you and your family. Aren't you all tired of the bickering because Hillary did not get chosen. But my question is why should he be forced to vep her. I wouldn't If I was in his shoes. Look what kennedy did, he chose someone he did not care for, but it was for the good of the country of the choice he made. I can't believe people today are just as ignorant as people where years ago. No I see why our country is full of hatred and smears. I just lost a kid due hatred because he was black. And to think people are so hateful. I just don't understand.
And why would this country of demoncrats refuse to vote for another democrat know that the only thing McCain ever talks about is war, his vietnam experience, or how to win the war. Tell me what is there to win, I even lost a loved one in this wasteful war. He sound just like Bush war, war, war, war, war. Get real people. Loose what I have lost, 2 lives in 4 months. Get real and wake up.

VoteForYourself writing from Europe above is right on the money. Why would you vote for Mccain and not Obama just because Hillary hasn't been put on the ticket as Veep. Do you vote for personalities or policies? You are the same people who would have accused Obama fro playing politics if he had put Hillary on the ticket. It's about someone you think will do the job and who you will be able to work with. I really don't think Obama would have been able to be in a good workring relationship with Hillary. There would have been some fightings in the background which would have made governing very impossible for Obama.
About the 'Change' argument, we all know that Obama needed somebody with lots of foreign relations experience and Biden is the best pick. We all know that Hillary's foreign experience resume was found wanting during the primaries and the GOP would have capitalised on that. Already the GOP are trying to attach Biden alleging he himself had highlighted Obama's lack of experinece. Imagine what would have happened had Hillary been on the ticket. How would she had been able to defend Obama on negative issues that she had used to attack him?
I'm in Australia and I reckon Biden is the best choice Obama has made of his veep. People go vote for this guy if you are truly honest with your conscience!

The friggen Hillary morons are such a joke. They'll vote McCain out of spite. Instead of getting the Bush morons out of office, they'll go for another 4 years of the SOS, instead of being smart and getting the whole Bush clan outta there. Kinda like cuuting your nose off ta spite your face. LOL Give up Hillary supporters, maybe she can get the vote in 2016. Hope ya notice I didn't say 2012, cause Barrack and Joe will win then too. Hillary has so little "experience" where Joe has a ton of it....Great Choice Barrack!!!!!

All these Hilary supporters can go cry in their coffee in the morning. I am still trying to figure out how being the wife of a President is equal to experience. Biden has so much to offer, she probably would have picked him for her VP.

OBAMA IS DONE.

HE HAS DISRESPECTED THE BEST CANDIDATE OUR COUNTRY HAS SEEN IN YEARS, SINCE HER GREAT HUSBAND BILL. OBAMA HAS RUINED OUR DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

DON'T LET HIM RUIN OUR COUNTRY. HE IS BAD BAD NEWS. I TRUST A WORD HE SAYS, HE IS NASTY AND NEGATIVE AND PLAYS THE RACE CARD AND HAS USED HILLARY IN A DISGUSTING WAY.

In reply to some of the post above. First off all of you whinning about your kids being drafted, if you yourself would have served your country instead of having people like me doing it for you, you would then know Obama is the one that will put your sweet security at stake. I actually fought for your right to mouth off on this board. Second I am a Puma and switched my party affiliation when I became disinfranchized by the Democratic party, So if truly beleive what your saying then maybe you should take a second look at your selectee because his left liberal leaning policies will eventually lead to communisim then whine to me about your poor babies having to serve in the military it won't be by choice then. If all you can complain about is not getting the text message first that definately shows your maturity level when it comes to picking a president. Think what you want about us puma.....People united means action.......and guess what you will see the action come November, Hillary or no Hillary the DNC will sink....Go! Mccain

Mccain

Hillary supporters it is time to get over it,and move on.She lost months ago.GET OVER IT.
I was a strong supporter of Bill Clinton.I would vote for him again,if he could run for President.I still believe he was the best President in my lifetime. He was great on turning the economy around, but Hillary is not Bill. She ran a racist campaign. She attracted racist people. She does not deserve to be VP.
I think it is anticipated that Hillary's racist supporters will vote for McCain. You never would have voted for Obama anyway.Get over it!

I fail to see how one can support McCain and then call Obama boring.

If boring means giving you the inspiration to get up and actually do something rather than falling asleep in your chair then this country has more problems then I thought.

The country get much worse, those uneducated few that are switching to McCain BASED ON A VP PICK!!! are unbelievable.

Get Informed, Get Educated, and Don't Screw the rest of the country because of your vandetta

How can an informed decision be made? Sen Obama simply is not experienced and has many unresolved questions about his past. Local community outreach and state senatorial voting record of present are not enough to say he is experienced. And, as the chairman of the Subcommittee on European Affairs with jurisdiction over NATO’s operations, he hasn’t called a meeting in the two years as it’s chair.
“From CNN: But Biden, conveniently the Chairman of the full Senate Foreign Relations Committee, hit back at DeMint Thursday, writing in a letter to him that NATO's mission in Afghanistan has been dealt with at the full committee level. "Under my chairmanship the Foreign Relations Committee has addressed most Afghanistan issues at the Full Committee level," Biden wrote. "I believe that this is the best way of ensuring the most comprehensive examination of the complex issues involved, and of ensuring the highest-level Administration participation."”
Little to no experience here. Even Biden seems to doubt Sen Obama’s executive abilities.

McCain 2008 / Hillary 2012?

Who says McCain wont win a second term? If Bush can do it in the middle of an unpopular war so can McCain. That would mean McCain 2008 / Hillary 2016. Wanna keep another republican in the white house for 8 more years? I think not and democrats will vote their party.

I have some hard-hitting questions that Clinton supporters should ask themselves:

1. Would there be this much spite if John Edwards was the presumptive nominee?

2. What were John Edwards qualifications in comparison to Hillary Clinton?

3. Why did she have to loan her campaign 13 million dollars of her own money when she was the front runner?

4. If she's more appealing to rural voters why did she lose Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho?

5. Why did she agree on the primary dates when they were set 3 years ago, sign a contract agreeing to abide by the DNC's rules, and then try to change the rules when it became obvious she was losing?

6. Only one of the past five President's (George H.W. Bush) had documented foerign relations and policy experience prior to being elected, where's Hillary's?

7. Why are you blaming Obama for her debt which he cannot legal wipeout, and why doesn't she transfer her debt to her Senatorial campaign which she is allowed to do so she can continue fundraising?

8. Have any of you Hillary accolytes actually read the DNC's campaign rules and bylaws?

9. How is it that being Govenor of one of the least populous states in the southern US for 10 years, and having a law degree from an Ivy League school is sufficient qualification for the presidency, or being thereof is sufficient; but being a state senator and the US Senator with the same degree not qualified?

10. Is the thought of an educated, articulate, talented, respected, and charismatic African-Caucasian American as President that frightening?

It's sad to think of what a selfish country we lived in. Every day when we go to work and deal with our friends, we think that people are willing to lay down their own interests for the good of all. To all of those who are holding onto Hillary, I feel for you, but you are wrong. Your decisions are made of anger and spite and from this, no good will come. I never thought I would see so much hatred in this country. How could someone put a person before the issues? Your child may not die in Iraq, Iran, or even Russia, but someone else's will. You may not die or endure sickness due to lack of proper health care, but some poor person will. You may not lose your house, but thousands are every day now. And perhaps you can survive 4 more years of the same, but there are those of use who cannot. So, tell me, would you rather have it that way because "your person" lost? I am truly, truly saddened by this. Life is progressing, and one day we will have a woman president but this was not the time. Yes, she got 18 mil but so did Obama get 18 mil. So, you have to be real with yourself. It's not b/c you feel he or the DNC stole the election. You realize how close it was. It is anger and hatred. Be honest with yourself. And when you do, please, stop, pause, be quiet, pray, meditate - whatever you do. Forgive what you perceive to be the "wrongs" against you. Get out, take a walk, look at random children on the street. What do you want for them? Be honest. Then, ask God, ask yourself how we can truly heal our party and this nation. Only then will all of the strife end and true change and hope begin. May God Bless America.

This is a great pick for the country!
But: Now we have to intellectual constitution law professors on the ticket. And the sad truth is, that a government can´t be much better than the people, and I fear that there are more truth-over-facts-christie-flag-pin-pledge-of-allegiance-god-bless-america-pals
than people who are tough enough to understand what´s necessary to put our lovely country out of the mess. I think usually every country gets the leader it deserves. That´s really bad for Obama. I hope I'm totally wrong!
Thomas from Cincinnati, OH

-by the way: dear Hillary supporters: If she wants Obama will give her every secretary post she wants and she can do much more for the country this way than beeing VP. For a VP she really got to nasty in the primaries. That's not his fault. In spite of this, a appreciate her totally like nearly all Obama people also do. So don't be so dumb like the people that wasted our country and Hillary fights again. Unite for the well-beeing of this country!

{Moderator - this is a correction to the post i just submitted.  I accidently clicked send before proof reading it.}

It truly saddens me that so many Hillary supporters are harboring such animosity toward Obama. Early in the primaries, I was tossed up between Obama and Clinton (after my candidate Bill Richardson left the race) because they were so similar on the issues. Honestly, their differences on the issues were very subtle.

As the primaries unfolded, it started to become clear to me that the difference between them was character and integrity.

The Clintons were very hateful and divisive, and what bothered me most was the way Hillary padded her resume and diminished Obama's. Hillary does have slightly more experience than Obama, but truly saying that everything she has done in the 35 years since she left college has prepared her for the presidency is such a stretch. Obama may have been in the senate for only a short time, but the type of work he has done since he left college seems to be right on track with what the country needs right now. And then the sniper fire lie just made me think "wow, lying comes so naturally to her that she even embellishes something like this which doesn't even matter. How can I trust her to tell the truth about important issues?'

Listen, I enjoyed the Bill Clinton years, and I thought he was a good president. But Hillary is not bill, and the times are changing. Obama is what we need right now. And again, it is his integrity and character which impresses me above all else.

If you got all of your information from Hillary and that is the basis for what you believe about Obama, then it is seriously time for a fact check Why don't you look into him yoursef?

I'll leave you with this thought: Mark Twain once said "Anger is an acid which does more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured". This country is at a critical juncture. Please put aside your hurt feelings and think this through. What would Hillary do? Oh, that's right, she's voting for Obama.
