From

DENVER, Colorado (CNN) - Delaware is moving up to the front row.

Seating for the state’s delegation was moved Sunday from up in the stands of the Pepsi Center, site of the Democratic convention, to the front two rows on the floor of the arena.

Delegates from Delaware will now be seated right next to the podium where their senator, Joe Biden, will give his vice presidential nomination acceptance speech on Wednesday night.

Interesting – Florida and Michigan delegates should be serving drinks in appreciation for being there let alone be up front

So Delaware (3 electoral votes) is more important than MI (17 electoral votes) and FL (27 electoral votes).

Pelosi is an idiot.

Print that CNN.

Its because he is the VP...dont you get it?

Monica for Obama in Indiana   August 24th, 2008 7:46 pm ET

Good, that makes sense.
Go Obama/Biden 08

Tomas   August 24th, 2008 7:45 pm ET

I personally didn't know J Biden until now, but so was everyone else.
However, beside his sound gift of wisdom, Barack Obama has been called young, inexperience. Now, he's got a man whom by the record is more than experience. What now can be a reason for which any sound American will refuse to for him he was voting for his country' best?
Whatever you do, please don't any racist people let hold back the American progress we've been dreaming!
Vote Wise!

Find a good place, and stand FIRM.

aware   August 24th, 2008 7:38 pm ET

Obama's choice to put Biden on the ticket says that he knows he doesn't have the experience or gravitas to be president. :)

It also says that he cares more about winning than he does about unity in the democratic party or in America!

It also says that he has no intestinal fortitude because he didn't have the courage, humility or wisdom to select Hillary!

Obama never! :(

Don't waste your vote! Vote for John Mccain 08 and Hillary Clinton 2012! :)

THE BIDEN EFFECT ON THE MOVE.

tedious898   August 24th, 2008 7:26 pm ET

This was supposed to be Barack's big night – the anniversary of "MLK's I have a dream" speech. Its such a shame that Barack, his family, his campaign and millions of white and black supporters, will spend the night hearing hate from the PUMA's and other hate groups.

Do you think any one of these people care about anybody or anything – except – Hillary should be president (?) Not a chance people! Let the hate and 4 more bush years continue.

Kenneth M.   August 24th, 2008 7:23 pm ET

The Clintons discraced this country last time they were in office and if it were not for Obama they would do it again. I dont care if he wins or not. Just as long as we do not have to deal with the Clintons again. Bill wasted so much time defending himself that he only did an 8th of what he should have done for the contry in 8 years. Hillary was out of touch the whole time trying to save face. Good ridence to bad rubish. I hope Obama wins but I will be happy with McCain for 4 years. Then Obama can run again in 2012.

Denise   August 24th, 2008 7:21 pm ET

They should move closer up, look where the VP is from. PA should move closer up, too.

Tre, New Virginia-D   August 24th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

Virginia Loves Business, Virginia Loves Biden, Virginia Loves Obama.
California Loves Business, California Loves Biden, California Loves Obama.
On the East and West coasts, both states are experiencing a boom in respect to the rest of this country. Unless you are in the Republican stronghold of Texas, or its brother Alaska, The latter two regions are strengthening in spite of the economy, so the question you should yourself is where do you live? Cause chances are anywhere else your losing. Vote Democrat if you miss your money, vote Republican if it doesn't matter. Virginia will still be fine, thanks to our new Democratic government structure.

Thats what I love to see.
Obama 08

I'm currently looking to move out of DE becuase of the messed up schools here....It's stupid. I hope the country is run better than Delaware.

Karen - Missouri   August 24th, 2008 7:06 pm ET

Delaware DESERVES to have a front row seat...after all, Biden IS the VP. It's only fair. I'm not sure what kind of reasoning you're using by reporting on this or blogging on it. What did you expect? A fight? Really now CNN, you have better news stories to make than THIS.

Debby   August 24th, 2008 7:06 pm ET

BIG DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarah from Delaware   August 24th, 2008 7:05 pm ET

What's with all the Delaware bashing, CNN? I heard some Republican talking head yesterday snickering about how Senator Biden is going to deliver "Delaware, and only Delaware." Just because we're one of the smallest states doesn't mean we don't deserve recognition once in a while!

Alade, GA   August 24th, 2008 6:58 pm ET

mCAIN = Economic depression. It's no brainer Obama is the best choice for the country.

Bob - Maryland   August 24th, 2008 6:53 pm ET

3 seats - that should be easy.

Ron democrat turned independent   August 24th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

if he is to be president for all the people why does the states he needs to win get preferred seating while those who already committed are pushed to the rear for their efforts. i can accept Delaware out of respect for the VP but should the other states not have been in a draw so everybody as equal opportunity. you can't run a country playing favorites

Matt from Delaware   August 24th, 2008 6:41 pm ET

That's right, "interesting." It's amazing the clout a little tax-free shopping will get ya.

Cynthia   August 24th, 2008 6:41 pm ET

Senator Biden is the VP so therefore his state should be upfront.

Tom in Delaware   August 24th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

As for the real news...did you guys hear that Bigfoot thing was just a scam?!?

Obama/Biden '08

Linda   August 24th, 2008 6:31 pm ET

This a great ticket. I believe that Joe Biden and his entire family will work and support Barack Obama.

I am a lifelong republican mom of 3 who is fired up and ready to go for Barack. I donate, support in every way that I can. We cannot afford 4 more years of this, seeing our hard earned equity dry up, the terrible economic mess and image problem we have, I encourage every-one to work as hard as they can. YES WE CAN and please remember what's at stake. You guys are all great.

Afghanistan Hearings

The ad starts by saying Obama "never held a single Senate hearing on Afghanistan," which is literally true. Obama, who is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's subcommittee on European Affairs, hasn't held any Afghanistan hearings. The full Senate Foreign Relations Committee, however, has held three hearings on Afghanistan during the past two years, and Obama attended one of them.

McCain's ad fails to mention that his own record is no better. Although he's the highest ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, he missed all seven of the hearings that his panel held on Afghanistan during the same two years, according to ABCNews.com. (We looked through the transcripts of the hearings from Federal News Service to confirm ABC's report, and we found statements that showed McCain was not present at two of the hearings, statements from other senators speaking on McCain's behalf at two more hearings, and no mention of McCain whatsoever at the other three.)

Soldier for OBAMA   August 24th, 2008 5:53 pm ET

It is protocola nd surely honored to do so. OBAMA should do the same with the Western States, Puerto rico Alaska, the Virgin Islands, it symbolized his commitment to the least among us. I am sure the convention will be great and they need to campaign everyday and night while the GOP is also having their convention. CHANGE means not taking anything for Granted and to campaign in MN, OH, PA, NC, AZ, TX, NM, MT, NV, AK, NH, NJ, MS, MO and all the 17 hotly CONTESTED states. Texas will go BLUE in O8.
