Dems might counter-program GOP rally

DENVER, Colorado (CNN) - Call it the battle of rallies.

Barack Obama campaign sources told CNN's Gloria Borger and Jessica Yellin that Obama and his running mate, Joe Biden, will have their first post-convention joint rally Friday, likely in Pennsylvania.

That's the day after Obama gives his presidential nomination acceptance speech, wrapping up the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

And it's also the same day that John McCain is expected to hold a rally in Dayton, Ohio. The conventional wisdom is that the Ohio event could be the first public appearance of McCain and his yet to-be-named running mate.

Obama sources say the joint appearance by Obama and Biden could be a good way to counter-program the Republicans.

They also said that one state Biden will be visiting frequently is Florida.

Sources also tell CNN that the presidential nomination roll call will take place on Wednesday from late afternoon into early evening.

Both Obama and Hillary Clinton's names will be on the roll call of delegates.

And CNN also hears that director Steven Spielberg is making a video that will air on Wednesday night at the convention hall at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

The video is about military veterans, and fits with the convention's theme of the night, which is a salute to veterans.

It is amazing to see the blatant shameless stagecrafting and narrative making in this political cycle. No one knows the danger of it. EGOBAMA is casted as well as Biden by the ruthless really right wing left wing Geffen Oprah team. Yikes. The psychological sickness of the left and right is more frightening than the entire archive of horror films. Where oh where are we headed?

Please think morally for a second here I am an independent and not sure who 2 vote for, one major issue for me is abortion and I am a religious Catholic. Knowing that Obama is Pro-Choice in supporting the killing of innocent babies, if he can't make a simple decision in deciding whether murder is legit, I frankly don't care how he is on other issues. His response in the saddleback church forum was very poor and McCain response is correct in saying life begins at contraception. I am not that fond of McCain but I am leaning his way.

It's like Democrats are saying we will kill all innocent children so can we can be rich. I personally accept Jesus commandment in in saying thou shall not commit murder. I won't vote for the killing of innocent babies so that we can live in a richly economy.

  5. OBAMA

McCain paints Obama as a "celebrity"... he has never been in a Hollywood movie – John McCain had a cameo in Wedding Crashers. Hypocrites have ruined the White House, dont elect another. Democrats for McCain should be ashamed, Benedict Arnolds. Also Clinton supporters, if you were smart you would take the Democrat because McCain will not listen or let Hillary into his cabinet

EGOBAMA is out of his league now, why is ego smirks are so sorry to watch. His own doubt about what is happening is surging his supremacy. The DOUBT CLOUD than now hovers over the Pepsi Center will burst by Thursday.

Imaging that no one picked up the sexism in Biden's speech yesterday. He introduced his wife as downright gorgeous, but it was a problem that she was a doctor. The gaff was glaring and what was more glaring, no one picked it up. They also did not pick up the Bush like speak, like we are going to smoke them out. Obama said, "he states down dictators" when speaking of Biden. Yikes that no one notices such horrifying language.

Mr. Justice Stevens is 88. Madame Justice Ginsburg is battling cancer. If either of them dies or resigns, Roe v. Wade is dead.

Everybody needs to hear what they are saying. Because Hillary did not get pick you will go to the enemy. How stupid is that. Hillary people wants a Dem in office so they will pick McCain now that tells me the Hillary supporters are dumb. So go put a Republican in office and all the dreams that Hillary had for you will go on deaf ears.

Obaha-Biden will win in a landslide on Nov. Jon Makain is qualified to serve is Walmart as a greeter. Oh, and he is perfectly qualified because he was a POW for 5 years. Wasn't Makain one of the keating 5? Without out him, they'd been called the Keating 4.

Virginia Loves Business, Virginia Loves Biden, Virginia Loves Obama.
California Loves Business, California Loves Biden, California Loves Obama.
On the East and West coasts, both states are experiencing a boom in respect to the rest of this country. Unless you are in the Republican stronghold of Texas, or its brother Alaska, The latter two regions are strengthening in spite of the economy, so the question you should yourself is where do you live? Cause chances are anywhere else your losing. Vote Democrat if you miss your money, vote Republican if it doesn't matter. Virginia will still be fine, thanks to our new Democratic government structure.

Thats what I love to see.

Griff, how many house(s) do you own?, hey folks lets get it right this time, we need the guy who feel what we feel, not a guy that can't remember how fleets of cars or jets they own. I am a HRC fan, but as she had advised, i will support BHO, because i am a trully democrate, and will vote for who HRC wants me to vote for, if we must enjoy President Clinton gains of the 90s, then lets rally round the democrate and put our differences behind. Remember, if u are truly a Democrate, the Republican will only use u and dump you, just like what the president Bush did in 2004. Hey Democrates lets be smart this time to get it right. the media is over playing this matter against Obama, no apology to CNN.

Ah yes, the media tries to do some kind of spin on this too? Jeez...I seriously doubt Obama and Biden need to plan THEIR rallies around McCain's schedule.. Obama and Biden will WIN. If Insane McCain would win this country really WOULD be in disaster mode.
