Senator Obama should have been gracious to call Hillary Clinton himself first. To hear it second hand still shows his arrogance. He did pick another excellent candidate for V.P. I seriously think that Hillary did not want to play second fiddle. She is TOO good for that. Obama better do right and put her in an important place in his cabinet. I will always be her supporter and to make sure that Democrats take back the White House, I will vote for Obama/Biden. Good luck Senator Clinton at the roll call vote in Denver. Still wishing and hoping that YOU will become our nominee in a surprise tally of all the votes. GO HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!

I think she know the day, after she bow out of the race that she would not be pick, and I agree with the ( future President Obama), change does not come with Hillary. There will be some people that agree and disagree with this , but the bottom line is Obama and Joe is a winning team, like it or not. The people have spoken and come November they will speak again, after this they will be taking the White House from Bush.

I continue to be amazed at how low the lowest-common-denominator in America is.

Hillary Clinton _was_ a candidate. There's always a runner-up. The indignation, despite the burn-the-bridges tactics she used in her efforts to win, the apparent sense of entitlement, the unwillingness to let go, even in the convention that's supposed to buoy the candidate she's now "wholeheartedly" endorsing .... It's inexcusable, it's infantile, and worst of all, it's gas for the Republicans' flamethrowers.

McCain simply isn't a rational choice for someone who supported what Hillary stands for.

I genuinely hope that those of you who wish Hillary had earned the nomination will simply accept that you wish that, write her a check to show how much you wish it, and lend some of your energy to the victor's campaign ..... just a bit of benefit of your doubt that Obama might just be a very good president ... and bring something of your own to the table to help make it so.

For the meantime, it's at least what I wish Hillary would (more unequivocally) do.

I am a Soldier with 17 years in the Army serving my country faithfully. I cannot believe the comments that are being made by some people, I respect Hillary Clinton but it isn't about what she wants anymore, she underestimated Obama, it isn't his fault. How do some of you people call yourselves patriots? Some say that they are voting for McCain now that Hillary lost, maybe us Soldiers should say that we won't defend this country any more because it is to racist, sexist and ignorant to fight for. I have lost two friends in Iraq, i'm willing to bet that you could NEVER if it were possible to look any of the 4,000 in the eye and have the nerve to say these retarded things. Them as well as I would spit in your face. Also, all of the people homeless now who have lost their homes and jobs have no rights anymore because some people don't care, they are I guess comfortable where the are right now. Kharma is alive and well. You old people for McCain, keep mortgaging your childrens future off, you have a tendency to vote against your own best interest. I'm for Obama and it isn't for no other reason but the well being of my country, it scares the hell out of me that there is a possibility that John McCain could be my Commander and Chief. I have been to war twice, just returned from Camp Ramadi in Iraq, this does NOT make me an expert in foriegn policy like McCain would have you believe. POW just means you got caught, I don't wish that on anyone, McCain uses it for political gain. The cross in the sand sounds like BS. I read somewhere about a cross in the sand but can't remember, McCain must have read the same book.

Obama really believes he's unbeatable.

He believes he can deceive his supporters. He can bash the leaders of his own political party. He can vacation during critical moments.

People don't like Bush because he's "cocky and arrogant". The same will be said of Obama.

Funny how everyone is pissed at Obama for not nominating or even seriously considering Hillary as his VP. I am pretty sure nothing wad promised to Hillary. After all it is Obama's choice to decide who he wants. So what if Hillary conceded. She was losing regardless. She can take her and her 18 million supporters and get lost for all I care. But those 19 million better remember that if Obama does lose this race and it is close, it will be because of them and them only. They call themselves democrats looking for change but the moment their candidate doesnt get nominated for VP they want to flee. Why not unite and support the person that is the nominee and let bygones be bygones in the name of true democracy? Like someone said earlier, if the situation was reversed I am sure Hillary wouldnt give 2 cents about Obama. Such sore losers. I used to think the Obama/Hillary ticket would hav been sweet but now I would hate to see Hillary anywhere near the oval office.

I have to ask- would we even be discussing this if Obama was a white man? Why should he consult her? He won the primaries- he doesn't need to consult the loser. Remember a lot people also voted for Obama - does anyone know the actual vote total?

HRC had every advantage- the primaries were hers to loose and she did. Obama built something from nothing- his campaign is still making money- I have not donated but I will. HRC is 25 million in debt- if she can't manage her own campaign how does she plan to run the country? Would you choose a VP who was 25 million in the hole? The Repugs are already having a field day with comments made by HRC during the primaries, just think about the use of her campaign debt as amunition.

Help retire my primary campaign debt. As a private citizen seeking to serve my country, my public campaign debt should not be hung around my neck as a private expenditure I alone am saddled with.

LOL!! Do you think Hillary and her minions finally get the picture? Has reality started to creep in, or are they still in a state of denial? Sen Obama does not owe this woman a thing! She did everything possible to destroy his nomination and still got beat! She, like her followers care nothing about the Democratic party. They are all about the Clintons and what remains of a fractured legacy. So what if they vote Republican? They weren't going to vote for Sen Obama any way.

Ding Dong the witch is dead! Which old witch? The wicked witch. Ding Dong the wicked witch is dead!

Afghanistan Hearings

The ad starts by saying Obama "never held a single Senate hearing on Afghanistan," which is literally true. Obama, who is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's subcommittee on European Affairs, hasn't held any Afghanistan hearings. The full Senate Foreign Relations Committee, however, has held three hearings on Afghanistan during the past two years, and Obama attended one of them.

McCain's ad fails to mention that his own record is no better. Although he's the highest ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, he missed all seven of the hearings that his panel held on Afghanistan during the same two years, according to ABCNews.com. (We looked through the transcripts of the hearings from Federal News Service to confirm ABC's report, and we found statements that showed McCain was not present at two of the hearings, statements from other senators speaking on McCain's behalf at two more hearings, and no mention of McCain whatsoever at the other three.)

I don't understand it.
If you Hillary-psychos love her so much - then why is she still in debt?
Put your money where your mouth is and stop being so bitter.
It's over.

All of this complaining about Hillary not getting the VP spot is uttertly ridiculous. In a primary race their is a winner and a loser. Both sides have their supporters. When a candidate wins in the primary, the losing side gracefully accepts defeat and then rallys around the winner. Also, when does the winning candidate ever is demanded to payoff the campaign debts of the loser. I have never heard anything so ridiculous. If Obama was a white candidate, no one would demand he pay for anything. Only a black man would get asked to do something so stupid.

In November I will be voting for Barack Obama and Joe Biden. If he had chosen Hillary Clinton I would be voting for Barack and Hillary.

Mean while all of you who supported her and not Obama, are doing her a great disservice. You are helping the right wing tear up your party, making the Clintons look bad..

I was always against the war and in favor of withdrawal, our economy sucks right now, food and gas are crazy prices, people have lost their homes and continue to do so.... and your power switch for spite is what???? vote for a man too old to run our country who has no idea to the problems of every day life.??..... and stayed up Bush's butt

This is one Clinton supporter who is NOT BITTER. I've just done my homework on the matter. I should of been born in Missouri, the prove it to me state. Obama started out being the one for change - now that his poll numbers are down, the DNC is worried they made the wrong pick. So the only change he has made is to change his mind AGAIN and decided on a older washington insider to be his V.P. What a surprise. How in the world can we expect him to take care of this county when he lets his own brother live in a slum. But that should not surprise people when you take a good look at him and his "friends". Talk about the Devil in Blue jeans. Wake up people and join the rest of us "smart" Democrats who plan on voting for McCain in 2008.

Obama...who cares about the Clintons...they had their time in the political limelight and now it's time to step down!!!!!! They are phonies, always have been and always will be...they don't care about America, they care about themselves and their agenda...maybe they'll start their own party cause their arrogance will tell them to...the phoniness will be on full display at the convention and i hope that people don't buy into the smiles!!!!

still an embarsment to America and Hillery is just as bad.
We don't need to worship at the alter of the Clintons to make
America a better place we need to tear it down and build a new
one that leaves behind the politics of hate.

Surely, the Hillarists with a shred of integrity will remember her and Bill's attacks on Obama -- she was far nastier than he ever was. C'mon, guys, that's not even controversial, is it? And in any case, she'll be Secretary of State, a far more important position than VP, and one she is eminently qualified for. She'll be great there.

I don't understand why Clinton backers keep acting like Obama has done something wrong. He won the primary. It was hard fought, but he won. Even though he could have ignored Hillary going forward, he put a request for funds for her debt on his website. He has made her one of the primary speakers at the Democratic Convention. He has offered to allow a role-call vote to show he honors her work. He has done nothing but keep her in the news. And yet, because he didn't pick her as his VP he has somehow done something to humiliate her. She's in politics. Politics are a rough game. If the Clinton supporters keep acting like she's a defenseless little girl who has been humiliated and scorned, they don't know politics, and they don't know just how tough Hillary is. Sooner or later, the Clinton supporters must realize she is no longer in the game. it's over. It has been for months. Get over it, get up off the floor, stock kicking and screaming. This is getting rediculous.

Let's put all the drama behind us and move on to elect what is best for the country. I will not vote for McCain because of how he treated is first wife and because he has the worst record on voting for women issues.

America's future is more important than our own little frustration.

Shocker. We knew this was going to happen. If Obama chooses her, he is no longer the Change guy, if he doesn't, he's dividing the party. The truth is that Hillary overplayed her hand in her kitchen sink strategy; it's like insulting someone at a dinner party only to find out he/she will be your new boss. She figured shed never see Obama again, poor move. Her kitchen sinks are coming home to roost.

I'm so sick of BHO people calling HRC people racist because we feel BHO is not qualified and because we feel HRC got a screwed by the DNC.

I'm sure all the BHO people calling HRC people racists are Black. 90% of Blacks voted for BHO in the primary for no other reason than he is Black. When you vote for someone just because of their color, that is rasicism.

Senator Clinton and Barack Obama share a commitment to health care for all Americans, repairing - not privatizing- social security, redirecting the “War on Terror” to taking on Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, and ending the mistake in Iraq responsibly.

John McSame represents four more years of the most corrupt, ineffective, and dishonest administration since Richard Nixon. Bush and McCain love to invoke the name of Ronald Reagan as their hero. Too bad neither of them shares his vision or optimism. Go Democrats

To: RandyPA, and all others like him...

OH PLEASE... The only vile, mean-spirited, immature people are Obama supporters who continue to bash Hillary supporters. Just b/c one doesn't agree with your candidate, doesn't mean it is so b/c they are "bigots" / racists/ bitter, and all the other things Hillary Supporters continue to be called. ...and you wonder why they are having a difficult time coming around to supporting your candidate??? Hmmm...Just so you know, I am very proud to say I'm a Hillary supporter, and this Hillary supporter will vote for Obama- b/c although I am very skeptical of his knowledge/ experience, etc, he is definitely the lesser of two evils- I just cannot vote for McCain b/c to do so would indeed be four more years of the same failed policies set forth by the current moronic administration. Having chosen Biden as his VP definitely makes me feel better about my vote b/c Biden does bring along that experience, especially in foreign policy that Obama so greatly lacks...yet I can't help but think that Obama is a hypocrite- didn't he say he was all about change and that experience wasn't as important, blablabla? Didn't he say that he wanted to change the status quo? Biden has been a Washington insider longer than even that poor fossil of McCain! Do you see why many of us who didn't embrace Obama to begin with are having a hard time trusting and believing in Obama? These are but a few examples of why I don't really like him...but again, I am a democrat first....so I will vote for Obama. The stakes are too high.

I think Obama was gutless not to call Clinton himself. To have someone else make the call was a slap in the face to her. I am not a Clinton supporter but if he called the other people on his "short list" he should have stood up like a man and made the call himself. I hope she doesn't do a good job of supporting him at the convention, let him eat crow. He needs her and her supporters, how soon he forgets. Just plain selfish!!!!
