Castellanos: Kennedy gives heroic speech

A wonderful and heroic speech by the last lion of a great American family, a family that has borne too great a burden.

This was the laying on of hands, the transfer of the moral leadership of the Democratic Party, which the Kennedy's hold, to Barack Obama - a new generation of Democratic leader.

Watch: Ted Kennedy " The dream lives on"

It is the most powerful gift Obama has received.

May God be with the sentator. No family should have to bear as much.

An hour ago you were whining about liberals, liberals, liberals.

If you were so moved by what you saw ten minutes ago, maybe it's time you switched parties.

But no, you won't. Because you're a GOP shill through and through.

Who is Alex Castellanos? Why is CNN's political page dominated by someone with that name?

Sorry, I just woke up from a nap.

Why is CNN posting GOP Strategist Castellanos comments during the Democratic Convention as though he is someone of influence that Americans care to here?

I have been watching the Democratic Convention coverage on CNN, MSNBC, FOX, and C-Span. C-Span actually shows all of the convention with none of the meaningless political commentary from hosts and reporters. I defintely would recommend C-Span over other cable networks for fair political coverage.

It doesnt matter whether or not anyone agrees with anything he said, but like it or not it was a well delivered speech. Also consider that the democratic party's last great hope for a Kennedy died. So maybe this will be the last Kennedy in government for awhile. Considering the number of untimely deaths the family has had Ted deserves a little bit of deference.

I find it funny that Liberals only get praised when they do something odd. Or let alone when they don't. I find it funny that Liberals have to be tough to win. Or let alone I find it funny also when Conservatives are also to blame. I have to say, if there's one thing that Liberals and conservatives share is one thing.......they're both messed up!! LOL!!! The only thing Conservative you're gonna get if God likes you, that's all, LOL!!!!!!

kennedy said what we know is true. the congress and senate work for us yet they get the best insurance in the world that we pay for and no one is looking out for us. we have to change this because from our employers we have to size up the amount of insurance we can afford. i think we deserve the same insurance that our congress and senate get. what do you think?

That was beautiful Castellanos. Cancer does not care if you are left or right. Loving your Country is not a matter of being left or right.
    Thank you for your post.

Did Obama get the royal crown and scepter also? Wonder who's doing the coat of arms? Seems the laying on of hands would have been more appropriate on another Kennedy, male or female.

Edward Kennedy is beyond special. He is a true statesman, not just a politician and he's given his life to serving America. We revere him and pray for God to bless him and strengthen him and bring him good cheer.

if Hillary is counting on 2012 to win and because of this, she refuses to whole-heartedly support Obama, perhaps she wanted him to loose the election so that she can run in 2012, wrong! my friend, wrong!! again, you never give Republican any chances to win another 4 years, they will take another 4 years = 8 years. She should know better.

CNN, Cover this election fair. You CNN always fall into the hand of Republican, they surely know how to you guys and you all fall for it.

Today's coverage was the worst I ever seen, CNN moderators should be ashame of themselve. Sometime, it's better to watch MSNBC or CNBC, at least they have common sense to tell the story as they see it. Not CNN.
