Carly Fiorina held a press conference Monday.

DENVER, Colorado (CNN) – Just hours before Democrats are set to open their presidential nominating convention, John McCain’s campaign is stepping up its outreach efforts to disaffected Hillary Clinton backers who lost a hard-fought primary battle against Barack Obama.

“Despite all the talk that we hear from the Democratic Party here in Colorado about unity, the Democratic Party is, in fact, divided,” Carly Fiorina, co-chair of the Republican National Committee’s Victory 2008 campaign said at a news conference Monday. “They are not coalesced behind Barack Obama,” Fiorina added.

Watch: Fiorina on winning over Clinton backers

Fiorina was joined at the press conference by four former Clinton supporters who are now part of “Citizens for McCain.”

“I’m thoroughly disgusted with the Democratic Party,” said Cynthia Ruccia who spoke at the presser. “I believe the real magic of Barack Obama was his ability to turn lifelong Democrats like us into McCain supporters overnight.”

On the eve of the Democratic National Convention, the McCain campaign and the RNC have rolled out three ads aimed at winning Clinton supporters. On Sunday, the McCain camp unveiled “Passed over,” an advertisement that highlighted Obama’s decision to pick Joe Biden instead of Clinton as his running mate. Today, the RNC started airing “Was she right?” an ad that featured Clinton’s many criticisms of Obama during the primaries. The McCain campaign also launched “Debra,” an ad that features Debra Bartoshevich, a former Clinton supporter from Wisconsin who was also present at Monday’s press conference.

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows McCain and Obama tied with each garnering support from 47 percent of the public. The poll also showed that nearly a third of Clinton supporters now say they will back McCain.

This is so funny, this small minority of so called Hillary supporters only supported her because she was a woman. Now, since she was not chosen as VP they are going to vote for McCain, a man who is doing the greatest disrespect by treating them as puppets.. lol wow. McCain could care less about Hillary and if she was chosen as VP he would have and has shown that via the millions of negative ads he has made about her.

So here we are, these so called hilly supporters hate the man who actually shows them 100% more respect than that of McCain.

Let see Obama has:

Helped pay some of Hillary debt
Iincluded her as a primary speaker in the convention
Included her husband as a primary speaker (who spoke some pretty overtly negative comments) in the convention
Shares the same political views and stances as HIllary.

Go figure.. I guess ALL americans dont have principles. lol

Wow, open registration and the Obamabots invade the place. LOL

All these Obama supporters who are complaining about the Hilllary supporters are really being stupid.. Hey, she did get half the votes. In any other convention there would be a legitimate roll call vote and/or she would have been the VP. Are the Obamabots trying to help him lose? They obviously haven't been to many conventions and seen floor fights, this could have been a good convention. Obama is trying to exert too much control and it won't do anything but tick people off. Hillary and her supporters are entitled to have their say. Conventions are supposed to be the whole party not just the nominee's supporters. If the posters here are examples of the Obama supporters, he's going to lose. They're just as arrogant, self-centered, and totally ignorant of how to handle the friendly opposition.

Oh, and I am not a Hillary supporters.

You know who is not on this blog? The "lunch pal" Democrats, the "Reagan Democrats. Neither party is worried about loosing their base, they are worried about the Independents or the ones that vote according to the candidate and not the party.

It doesn't matter if somweone on here is a "true Democrat" or not if they say they voted for Hillary in the primaries, Obama needs every last one of them.

Rob Vukovic   August 25th, 2008 5:42 pm ET

Any voter who claims to be a Clinton supporter and is now planning to support McCain is full of limbaughbrains. McCain is the antithesis of Hillarly Clinton. I would be asking these people just exactly what qualities do they find in McCain that caused them to first support Clinton? They have little integrity and far less soul.

No thanks   August 25th, 2008 5:41 pm ET

Voting for MCCAIN out of anger does not make you the better person. It just wasn't Hillary's time. Accept it, move on.

McCain "Doesn't Disagree" With Draft
Presidential candidate John McCain appeared at a town hall meeting in New Mexico today. And, for some reason, tacitly endorsed the draft.
It all went down when an audience member turned the topic toward veteran's rights and said, quite astoundingly, "If we don't reenact the draft I don't think we will have anyone to chase Bin Laden to the gates of hell."
To this McCain replied, "Ma'am let me say that I don't disagree with anything you said and thank you and I am grateful for your support of all of our veterans."
So McCain would rather force America's young men to serve in the military than lift Don't Ask, Don't Tell, which has deprived our military of an estimated 12,000 able soldiers? That's simply mind boggling.

sarah   August 25th, 2008 5:40 pm ET

I will say this as clearly as possible. All of you so-called DEMS (supporters of Hillary) show your behinds and vote for McCain. Go right ahead. But, please know that Hillary will NEVER be president in 2012 or beyond. We can spin this wheel for years to come sweeties.

Thats as stupid as you can get.

By the way, for those who remain stuck on the Clinton legacy,
only one of two people will be sworn in on January 20, 2009.
Senator Obama or Senator McCain.

Gues what, Clinton will still hae her lofty position as a Senator, have her lifetime pension set up as a 2-term (at least) senator, and finally her $100 MILLION. So, this election will not affect her or bill or Chelsea in any particular way.
You on the other hand, will have to deal with the bleak outlook of a McCain administration if you don't get off your ego trip of not wanting to support Obama.

John from Pennsylvania   August 25th, 2008 5:35 pm ET

I have always voted Republican, but I have been so impressed by Obama this year that I plan on voting for him.

I am tired of paying half my income for gas, and I am tired of hearing about my neighbors dying in a war that we now know shouldn't have been started in the first place. My son wants to join the army, and I am torn between allowing him to serve our country, and knowing that he would be fighting a war that does not represent what I have always loved about America.

While I am a Republican and plan to vote for Obama, I am surprised that all of you Hillary supporters are so quick to jump to the McCain camp. While McCain has his pros and cons, it is very clear that his policies are close to Bush's. His experience as a POW does NOT qualify him to be president, although he is a war hero.

If you supported Hillary, why would support McCain? Obama and Hillary are very similar politically, and ALL candidates are negative towards their competitors in the primaries. Hillary fought the best fight she could have, and she lost. Let's remember that voting is not about revenge. ANY candidate who was as close as Hillary to making history would have done the same thing. But now that she is out, let's all move on and make Obama the next President.

I know Hillary supporters are upset and feel gypped, but do you really want McCain's Bush-like policies for 4 more years? Think about it… Skyrocketing gas, Plummetting economy….and more dead neighbors coming home from Iraq. Think about it… Think about our children. Vote Obama.

Humberto   August 25th, 2008 5:33 pm ET

I think the ads are great and represent exactly the way the people are feeling. However, in my case I just happen to like Mr. McCains Economic Policy way better than Obama's. There's just something that does not ad up with Obamas

Carly Fiorina and McBush forgot to share ALL the information about the HOUSES that McCain didn't work for…………….daughter like dad………….There's also the matter of the McCains' daughter, 23-year-old Meghan. While many 20-somethings are lucky if they get a car for a college graduation gift, Meghan's present for finishing at Columbia University was a $700,000 loft in a hip section of downtown Phoenix.
A GQ profile of Meghan McCain, whose only job at moment seems to be blogging on her father's behalf, described the loft's interior as looking "like a spaceship furnished by West Elm." Wooden block letters arranged above McCain's kitchen cabinets spell the word indulge.

One wonders if this is a lesson the young McCain learned from her parents, who, by the way, according to property records, paid for the condo in cash.

WOMEN BEWARE:

McCain will march your children off to war…the draft will return.
In addition,
McCain has voted AGAINST ALL women's rights and issues.
Obama has voted FOR ALL women's rights and issues.
McCain wants to take away a women's right to choose.
Roe vs. Wade could be overturned , with the Supreme Court justices he would appoint.
Think very hard before casting your vote for McCain, it may come back to haunt you.

If Barack Obama loses, don't you think that will be the end of Hillary's political career? Don't you think she will be held personally responsible for having such a divisive campaign and giving McCain all of those sound bites – "I have a lifetime of experience, McCain has a lifetime of experience, and all Barack Obama has is a great speech in 2002." I can't remember Obama saying anything about Hillary that McCain could use in an ad. I do remember one he said, "You're likable enough." (Well, let's give him the electric chair for that.)

I also think that Hillary is too emotional to be President or Vice President. When she made her concession speech (the one where she said she had 18 million votes and would make no decisions now) showed her selfish and divisive nature. Obama, on the other hand, praised her and said that she would have a prominent place in his administration focusing on health care.

But I guess that wasn't enough. If he loses, she's toast.

David Newport, OR   August 25th, 2008 5:25 pm ET

If Hillary was such a great leader…then why are her followers not listening to her pleas? I see no leader. A great leader would stand up to the podium and would say "I will not run in 2012 if Obama loses". THAT is a leader's comment.

Question – If there are so many Clinton backers for McCain, why do we only see Cynthia Ruccia, Will Bower, and that theft Daragh Murphy? Also, why have they only raised $50,000 if there are supposingly millions of them???? Just asking. Also, why haven't they raised any money to pay off Hillary's debt??? Again, just asking.

The question to you is why is it that your support for Senator Clinton not translating into;

1) Supporting her decision to support Obama ( well, unless your support for her didn't include trusting her to make sound political decisions).
2) helping her get out of debt

A message to Obama supporters:

You need to understand that a GREAT many of us have questions about Obama NOT because of his race (as simple-minded people would like to believe) but because of his political leanings, past history, and relative lack of experience. He talks a great game, but get behind the golden speeches (hard for you soundbyte-based people I know) and you don't see a lot of substance. You accuse McCain or other politicians of using "loopholes" to question voter legitimacy??? Look at what Obama did in Chicago. As for experience…try to identify some major initiatives that he led, rather than times he simply voted "present".

Most of us have concerns about Obama because we see him for what he is…a golden-tongued speaker that is actually a ruthless Chicago politician, and with incredibly liberal leanings. He will DO anything and SAY anything to get elected.

Try opening your eyes and seeing reality for what it is. As for race? If Colin Powell was running for President, I (and probably most of the country) would vote for him in a second. So much for race as an issue. Get over it and try to deal with the fact that your "messiah" is simply a relatively inexperienced politician with the gift of gab.

McCain,my man, that won't be hard, once the DNC finishes slapping all of the Clinton supporters around. They will be asking you "what they can do for you" ,in about a week, maybe less. We just had to give the undeserving, one more chance to make things right, before giving up on many needed changes. But if you can promise a comprhensive health care for Americans, you'll win over even more than the PUMA's.

Jill in Chicago   August 25th, 2008 5:15 pm ET

You don't have to stay in the party, if you don't believe in the candidate. It is called freedom to vote. While Obama and McCain are contrasted in the issues, McCain is more centrist than his fellow Republicans, just as Obama is more to the left than the Clintons. If Roe V. Wade was to be overturned, BUSH would have done it already. I am a 38 year old female that has voted both Republican and Democrat, mostly Democrat, and I feel that the democrats, under Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean and Harry Reid, have hijacked the party and pushed the Clintonites out. SO, forgive me if I don't BELIEVE in the FAKE UNITY this democratic convention is trying to shove down our throats. Touting Jimmy Carter over Bill Clinton, is honestly, the last straw.

It is extremely noteworthy the lengths the cable media will go to try to find something to say. The fact they, including C.N.N., want there to be a rift between Obama and Clinton, and will go to great lengths to create one is sad. When ever I hear C.N.N say in their promos that they demand the truth I can't help but laugh. They don,t want the truth if it lacks controversy. So why not report rumor as fact then approach the news makers with the "facts" and ask for a response. I am sorry C.N.N. you have fallen on hard times and lack the morals or professionalisim to change.

Kathy   August 25th, 2008 5:12 pm ET

I'll be watching the convention on C-Span. I'm so sick of the constant negativity toward Barack Obama on this network and the constant pushing of Hillary Clinton just to cause trouble. If the Republicans love her so much, why doesn't McCain put her on HIS ticket? Oh, weren't the Clintons their favorite punching bags until Obama came along?

Democrat for McCain. No need to be won over; I already have been. We need an honorable man or woman in the white house, not Mr. Obama. At this point, even the Clinton's cannot convince me to vote for the Celebrity Obama and all is cultish kids who follow him. Nothing against Biden, just want the right Man to be president and that's John McCain. Democrat for McCain 08 and VERY much look forward to the floor getting mopped up with Obama.

I do not believe in abortion but it sickens me to see how the Republicans use that over and over again to get elected and then do nothing to stop it. Think about it. Reseach it and get back to me.

Linda   August 25th, 2008 5:10 pm ET

I will be shocked and amazed if Obama wins this election. I said from the beginning that the republicans would win again. This is the same country that elected George Bush twice. This is the same country that likes it when their president uses small words to communicate with them. And they certainly don't like anything that's different and Barack Obama is different. I think the country deserves the mess they find themselves in now and will find themselves in in the future. The lack of intelligent reasoning people makes my skin crawl. I am overwhelmed by the ignorance….was that too many syllables?

I wish someone would turn the channel though. I'm tired of watching Hillary Clinton hold the country hostage…all she needs is a bunny and a boiling pot of water.

McCain campaign tactics exploiting democrats' sound bites to turn democrats against Obama spells D-E-S-P-E-R-A-T-I-O-N. It will backfire, as the TRUE democrats including those upset that Hillary didn't win the nomination will soon realize what is really stake–voting for McCain would amount to abdicating their life-long commitment to democratic principles and prolonging the agony of the American People who has seen nothing but misery under 8 years of Republican administration. Of course, there will be dems that will vote McCain, but their numbers will be canceled out by the number of republicans voting for Obama. Both group constitute only the minority in this election.

I've noticed the majority of those bloggers saying they're from Chicago or Illinois don't have real kind words for the junior Senator from Illinois. Think maybe they know something from following him before he became a national figure? His 2004 convention speech catapulted him into the national spotlight, but those of us from the land of Lincoln and Chicago politics knew a much different politician then the one who presents himself to the nation now. Be careful what you wish for people.

I agree whole heartedly! Obama has managed to change the Democratic Party in to McCain Supporters ,and has little chance, after afronting millions of clinton supporters,of regaining any kind of momentim. As soon as the DNC initiates their little skeem to try and unify the Party behind Obama, and the Clinton supporters realize that the DNC never intended to have a fair discussion, debate, and voting of delegates,to decide between the two candidates, the PUMA's will walk out and join the McCain ranks. The DNc will never admit this calamity was their fault, and will try every way possible to make it appear Hillary's fault she can't control her supporters. The DNC is still acting like the people,in general ,are stupid, and with a little,Kumbaya talk, and we all walk out united. It's not going to happen. To be honest, I really think this is a GOP plot to give an illusion that democrats are divided. If they were truly divided, Clintons 18 million would have retired her debt. Also, it would be more than a 25% of clinton backers going to mccain. None of this has happened yet.

This is nothing more than a Limbugh/Rove, GOP, media speculated ordeal. Nothing substantial. Get over it.

Why would Hillary supporters consciously vote for McCain? Clearly Hillary and Obama's ideals are similar to each other! To vote for McCain will be to vote for a 100 year war and a deep international resentment for this country. We are already hated as it is and having another McBush in the white house will not make our situation any better. Don't think of McCain as a revenge vote, just become an adult (or at least act like one) and do the right thing!

Anonymous   August 25th, 2008 4:56 pm ET

It is so sad to see people who are suppose to educated acting like this. One more time the RNC is out to decieve people. Bush did it the last eight years and McCain is trying to do it again. But just thought that I would convey some facts. Obama will be America's next president. Wake up America, we are on the dawn of a brand new rising. This guy is America's next president. Now we can be a part of history making or we can vote elsewhere but he will be elected this year. No weapon formed against him will prosper.

Republican for Obama   August 25th, 2008 4:56 pm ET

Being a Republican, I know well how good we are at dividing. It is shameful that Republican have to build up false brick walls in order to win. It is even shameful that some Dems are participating in it! As I have stated many times, Dems to come out in huge numbers to ensure that Obama is President. To Hell with the Clinton supporters. If some of them are willing to vote for McCain out of spite and bitterness, then let them endure the fatal consequences of their hatefulness. True Dems need to secure their best chance to get an Dem in the White House and vote for Obama!

Telly   August 25th, 2008 4:55 pm ET

The question I have is .. are all of the angry Clinton supporters registered democrats or not ? If so, act like adults and either get over it or formally change your alliance.

And why does Obama have to kiss the ground the Clintons walk on ? After all the sound bites she has given the RNC to use against Obama, why do her and her supporters feel she was ENTITLED to a VP slot … like it was an automatic default or something ?

Allen Friedman   August 25th, 2008 4:55 pm ET

It is time for the American people to show some intelligence. John McCain is tied with Obama because of attack ads and nothing more. Don't we have a president the past eight years that was elected the very same way? Is the public that stupid that we do not need to know how a candidate stands on all of the important issues inorder for him to gain in the polls. John McCain has said little on healthcare, poverty, paying for his war, social security, the home morguage crises and a more. This 72 year candidate has said that his wife takes care of the bills and so if he has no control of his own economy then why trust him with the American economy? Is this election only about who has the better attack ads because that's all that McCain has!

Since when does a under-achiever become a effective leader??? McCain falls back to his POW days so much, I'm starting to wonder if that was the "BEST" thing to ever happen to him, and he's been riding that ever since.

Another page out of the Republican playbook … it's going to fail. Republicans are inventing a "divided" Democratic party. Since they can't win based on "real issues", they stoop to this level. I think most Americans are much smarter than that. Go Obama/Biden!

Raven'   August 25th, 2008 4:50 pm ET

So maybe all those Hillary supporters that are going to vote for McCain are the same Hillary supporters that were the Republican cross overs in the primaries, just returning home to roost.

America will loose world influence when voting the same. Americas soldiers are not sufficient to guide the world.

I am so tired of people asking for "one" good reason to vote for McCain. My reason is simple. I will never , ever , vote for a candidate who will be responsible for sending our troops into harms way unless they have served themselves.

However, come this November, me and my family will now be voting for McCain!!!

Mary   August 25th, 2008 4:46 pm ET

Honestly, anyone who would vote for McCain as revenge or spite…is not a vote I want to have in the Obama camp. The policies between Obama and McCain are so divergent, that to support McCain is to be a Republican, so those Hillary supporters who are willing to risk their country just to spite Obama…should be ashamed of themselves….and should stop calling themselves Democrats. I am a middle aged white woman…and I supported Obama all the way. The Clintons handled their campaign poorly and they lost…get over it!!!

You are the victim now? If I remember correctly, Hillary lead the national polls before anyone ever heard of your messiah. I know my position didn't change – we were the ones abandoned – your hateful comments split the party and continue to do so.

If Hillary REALLY wanted to destroy the party she could easily do so..but no, she's putting the people first and you SOB's continue to attack and blame her. You think you'll change our minds and we will vote for Obama while you continue to bash Hillary? What kind of respect do you think you're entitled? We haven't been treated with respect so why do you think we'd support you and your candidate?

"remember, birds of a feather stick together" from previous post.
Yes, please remember who helped Obama get his 1.5 Million Dollar home. I didn't get any breaks on my home and know people that are loosing or lost their homes. No breaks for the slaves of this country.

Yes, Obama lost my vote by not choosing Hillary. She may have baggage but SHE was running not her baggage. How much did baggage hurt the 1st Bush? the Kennedys? I'm sure Channey has baggage but the present Bush has not let him into the picture much, just a yes man. Look at Obama, he has a truck load of baggage.

To Pat in Cali – China doesn't have to foreclose on the loan. This country is selling property to foreign countries piece at a time. We will be a country owned by every country in the world.

McCain is too old. In four years he will be another Chaney, if not before. His V.P. will finish his term.
Obama is too young and only in Fed. Govt. less than 3 years, not knowing what he is voting for (the war), not pro life, agrees with particial birth abortions, etc. etc. His choice for V.P. shows you what kind of decisions he will make. The wrong ones. He doesn't think any futher than his nose.

I guess if he wins, a lot of people will get training for the Presidntial position in 2012. He won't know the answers and will have the Help Wanted sign out.

Obama treated Hillary supporters with great respect. During the nomination campaign it was Hillary supporters who were always having small protests outside Obama campaign stops. The delegates were divided per party rules, and Obama had the numbers. Where do these Hillary supporters (Republican spies I tell you) on CNN get off saying Obama didn't treat her with respect? If anything it was Hillary and Bill who were disrespectful of Obama and guilty of slanderous advertising and comments about the other candidate during the democratic campaign.
And why do these people harp on experience so much? Bush had 8 years in the White House, and he STILL has no experience. McCain would have made a good leader 5+ years ago, when he actually was a maverick within the Republican Party; but in order to be their presidential candidate he has become no more than a sock puppet on the GOP's hand!

She'll NEVER get the 2012 nomination IF Obama loses – count on it. She might as well pull a Liberman because she'll be treated with distain within the Democaratic Party. So since the Chinese financed the Iraqi war, can they foreclose and take over America. Is this the legacy that will be left by a Republican controlled White House?

Ok demcrats. Relax . The poll from cnn is not accurate it has an error of almost 8 points which makes the poll inaccurate statistically. All polls with the exception of cnn has Obama ahead between 4-6 points as of yesturday and today. Things are fine. Most of the people interviewd yesturday are supporting Obama overwhelmingly. There was 2 people who were for McCain. The 1-2 people cnn interviews and says it is the norm is not true. In addition, over 70% of Hillary backers support Obama. Do not let the media divide us based on inaccurate stories. If the media wants a story, discuss the republican for Obama. They will be present today at the convention and attended his town hall in IA today. Change is coming.

Wow. Hillary supporters would really consider voting for someone like McCain, who is anti-choice, pro-war, pro-Bush tax cuts, and has pledged to put more people like Roberts and Alito on the Supreme Court?

My wife was very much for Hillary, I was for Obama; it was the first time we have ever disagreed over politics in 28 years of being married. But I told her that I would absolutely vote for Hillary if she won the nomination, and she told me that she would absolutely vote for Barack if he won. McCain can have those bra burning menopausal twits still supporting Hillary. They are irrational to the extreme, they think just because she campaigned and she is a woman makes her deserving of the presidency. Like this will make up for her bill's humilitation of her and right every wrong done to women since the beginning of time. What makes her so qualified to be President, because she slept with one
( so did Monica) or because she said so.

Unfortunately cutting off your nose to spite your face affects everyone not just you. So go ahead and vote for a candidate who doesn't repect his own wife, won't support equal pay for women, won't support a woman right to choose, will send your sons & daughter to die in foreign lands because he is the new decider. Hey if it make you feel better go ahead but there will be no whining when your decisions come home to roost ok.

Hey poster "CNN lying about Hillary supporter numbers"

They have been this way since LAST YEAR!

Paul Begala warned CNN about Hillary supporters not voting for Obama WAY back in the EARLY primaries. January or February and CNN brushed it off….. I believe he said it was 24% of her voters would not vote for him at that time. Not much difference today. And I'll tell you when it started. When he said "You're likeable enough, Hillary." Then progressed and got solidified when he stated so arrogantly, "I'm sure I can get her voters, I'm not so sure she can get mine."

We all know that the Clintons are capable of anything and it doesn't shock me that some of their supporters are as vindictive as they are. I think that they will continue to hurt the democratic party and McNoshame is loving every minute of it.

REG in AZ   August 25th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

What I seek is an honest, transparent, fair, equitable and responsible government that represents all of the people. The Republican Party has currently clearly demonstrated that not one of those things is of interest to them; they simply arrogantly and aggressively pursue a private agenda to benefit Special Interests and a select few, those who return support, contributions and later kickback compensation, and they then give the average American only apathy, the costs and subterfuge. If you are one of the few, you probably are happy with Bush-Cheney-Rove-etal and feel good about continuing with more of the same. However, if you are not of that small group, which most of us aren’t, you may think you are, which many do, and then you are part of the problem. The Republicans have deceptively appealed to us using negative attacks, false accusations, exaggerations, distortions of the terms ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative’ and with efforts to excite our emotions over biases, prejudices and even religious beliefs; all efforts intended to confuse the reality of things. The only way to really understand is to look at your own status: are you better off today with more security and more spending power; are you satisfied with the Iraq War or do you believe it was falsely justified, falsely reported, has cost us too much and greatly benefited only a select few; do you feel the War on Terror has been neglected in favor of positions that benefit the few; do you feel too much has been neglected, like America’s infrastructure, education, medical costs, Global Warming and so on; do you feel that we are handicapping future generations, our children and grand children, with deficits and the current concentration on immediate gratification for the wealthy and powerful; do you feel the Bush administration has been consistently lying to us and so on. The Democrats are not perfect either but just noting how the Republicans focus on the meaningless garbage and avoid the issues, tells a story; they have literally developed dirty-politics into their art form. How can they seriously fault a lack of experience when their pride and joy was a movie actor and while McCain has a lot of time in as a Senator, there simply is still nothing impressive? Then there are the attacks on Obama because of those who are mere acquaintances and yet McCain was the one actually investigated during the Keating scandal and likely was excused only because he cooperated. No, it is really time for change, desperately needed change. Change from Bush-Cheney (-McCain) and change from Washington as usual (which is something Hillary didn’t offer). More of the same is really nothing but more negatives and even just a chance for change is what we really need!

mike   August 25th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

Someone should ask McCain what he would be saying about Hillary Clinton if she were the democratic candidate. Hillary supporters, get real. McCain could care less about Hillary if it wasn't for the comments she made during the primaries disparaging to Obama. He shares no common values or policies with Hillary. He is now trying to use her. Everyone is so bent over the way Hillary was treated by Obama's supporters. Did you all ever stop and look at what Hillary said about Obama and how he was treated by her and the damage it may cause his candidacy today? It seems that it was OK for Hillary to dish it out, but her supporters sure couldn't take it. As for McCain, he is such a poor candidate, he has no where else to turn but negative.
Old politics by old politicians will not solve the problems of today.

Tommy   August 25th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

I woke up this morning with a headache. Took some aspirin and bingo, it was cured. There are many simple cures for lots of things. However, Clinton supporters voting for McCain??? There is no cure for stupid! You would rather screw yourselves than admit your candidate lost? Amazingly ridiculous!!!

Susan   August 25th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

Hillary supporters………put Hillary's name on the ballot!

Bill   August 25th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

Here's what John McCain really thinks of Hillary:

ben   August 25th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

Come on fellow Hillary supporters! Let's vote McCain! Let's vote for the guy who opposes abortion rights, universal healthcare, a sound foreign policy, and all the other issues that Obama and Hillary agree on!

lou   August 25th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

PUMA's …

Why so much loyalty (i.e. I'll be voting for McCain because Barack didn't pick Hillary) crap continuing to float around?

Do you remember when McCain said "…why is Chelsea so ugly, its because Janet Reno was her dad"? No that's hurtful and its amazing you people would support Sen. McCain under the guise that Obama has mistreated Hillary.

You people epitomize hypocracy and stupidity

Hillary's #1 fan   August 25th, 2008 3:52 pm ET

Since McCain says Hillary Clinton is THE ONE, I will vote for Obama if McCain doesn't pick her as his running mate!!! The LEAST he could do is to offer Hillary the veep spot…

CNN lying about Hillary supporter numbers   August 25th, 2008 3:51 pm ET

CNN is cherry picking an old poll about the # of Hill supporteres not voting for Obama.

The latest New York Times /CBS poll out this morning says 60% for Obama, 30% Not happy about Obama but will vote for him becuase he is the dem nominee.
Finally, only 5% thats right 5% will not Vote for Obama. Not 27% that CNN is trying to feed all of us.

CNN is cherry picking polls based on old data and is hyping this. See Chuck Todd's excellenet and fair analysis on MSNBC.com.
Its 5% folks, they are hyping this division for their ratings.

SHAME ON CNN…….guess Im going to MSNBC for the REAL news coverage. Just lost a viewer CNN.

Hillary supporters will vote for McCain in the general election. This will be insult for insult. It is an insult that Obama didn't even consider Hillary for VP. Obama really don't think that he needs Halliary supporters to win in Nov. Well, Hillary supporters will show Obama that they will not help him win in Nov.

It's funny how Obama supporters can call Hillary supporters nasty names and then turn around and ask them to vote for Obama. Obama supporters are saying that Hillary's policies are that same as Obama's now. That's funny because during the primaries Obama supporters were saying that Hillary's policies represented the old Washington policies.

Linda31   August 25th, 2008 3:48 pm ET

Other thing, when was the last time McCain had an ad out about the economy, national security (since he loves it), job loss, home foreclosures, price of gas, social security to new a few. He knows these are not topics he can win on.

Those people are not Hillary supporters.

Lifelong Democrat   August 25th, 2008 3:47 pm ET

This year I am voting McCain. I am a Moderate Democrat who is fiscally conservative.

Barack Hussein Obama does not have the experience.

Let McCain win this year. Let's have Hillary cruise to victory in '12 & '16 with Barack as VEEP and then Obama in '20 & '24. Let's keep Congree in the hands of the Dems.

Barack needs to get wet behind his ears first.

Also, no one likes a "show-boater" which Barack does way to much becasue of his age and lack of experience. He turns people off.

Democracynow2008   August 25th, 2008 3:46 pm ET

Frankly I don't care who gets elected I am for Obama but if the voters want the Republicans back in the Whitehouse then go for it.
If Hillary supporters want McCain to win because Hillary is not the nominee then your Republicans at this point and nolonger a Democrat.
If McCain gets elected I hope he starts a war with some country, drills for oil off the East Coast and builds 100 new Nuclear Power Plants in your backyards.
I mean if you do not like Obama then this is the top three things McCain will do as President.
Real Democrats will vote for Obama fake Democrats or people who not will vote for McCain are not Democrats at all never have they been.

Hillary Clinton can congratulate herself for single-handedly handing this election to McSame, which means 4 more years of distress for America! McSame will not win because he is the best candidate for America, but because the Clintons have divided the Democratic party. Hillary was never a team player, and she sealed the fate of the democratic party and her political career when she ran her slimy campaign.

To her "supporters:" No true Democrat would ever vote for John McCain! The John McCain of 2008 is contrary to EVERYTHING that as a Democrat, you supposedly stand for!

Sharon walker, it is because of people like you that we may have butcher's in back allies and people having to go out of the country to get abortions. What if it is at the expense of the mother's health and she has other children to feed and look after. Think with you head, abortion will take place no matter what, better that it be in hospitals than in back allies.

To call Michelle Obama a fool is just down right uncalled for and mean.
Both Barack and Michelle are hard working people with decent values and I for one will be proud the day they inaugarate him for the President of the United States.
They have both worked hard to get where they are today and nothing was given to them on a silver platter.

Linda from Prescott AZ   August 25th, 2008 3:42 pm ET

These people are not DEMOCRATS. They are losers, if it's not their way they don't want to play. If in fact John McCain wins this election (which he won't) I hope that they reap exactly what they have sewn. We really don't need such hateful vengeful people in the democratic party, they belong with the republicans. Good riddance.

If not BO, then never HRC   August 25th, 2008 3:42 pm ET

I have one thing to say to those who support HRC and think they are doing her a favor by sabotaging Sen. Barack Obama's legitimate campaign for presidency. If he is not elected president, I for one will NEVER support her in any campaign, and I sure hope the people of New York will turn away from her when her senate elections come around again. However, if they should see the light, and get behind Barack Obama and this party, I would vote for her in her future campaigns and support her financially. I would even help to retire her current campaign debt. I encourage other Obama supporters and Democrats to send a strong message to HRC die-hards, that continuing on their current course will mean the end of Hillary Clinton's political career.

New Yorker for Barack Obama…

Amanda   August 25th, 2008 3:42 pm ET

If the die-hard Clintonistas are stupid enough to vote for McCain, they will not only ruin the chances of this country to finally recover from 8 years of abuse but will also ruin the chances of Hillary C. as a Senator. I hope they regain their senses.

Kim   August 25th, 2008 3:40 pm ET

Seriously…who cares about the polls. If polls were accurate Obama wouldn't be accepting the nomination on Thursday. Just who are they polling? Certainly not me or any of my friends. As far as I know they don't call cell phones and that is a huge contingent that has not made their intentions known.

barf   August 25th, 2008 3:38 pm ET

This makes me sick. Regardless if Obama had picked Hillary or not McSame would be using the same ads using her to attack him. No lifelong democrat would move their vote to McCain. Any self called "democrat" that does vote for him needs to find a new party because he doesn't stand for anything a true democrat would. ugghhhh. This country is filled with self absorbed stubborn idiots.

Kelby from Houston, TX   August 25th, 2008 3:37 pm ET

Clinton was for universal healthcare, an end to the war in Iraq, a balanced budget, getting out of debt. Hillary Clinton is a Democrat. She is progressive. She is for the people and not business. If you ever believed in anything that Hillary believed in, YOU WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR MCCAIN. So the people that do make that switch seem embittered by their candidates loss. Their vote for McCain seems ilogical. stupid, ignaorant a sign of a major character flaw. That is why people who support Obama and the Democratic party at large are baffled by the attitude of this group of people. I am saddened because they refuse to let this go.

Chris   August 25th, 2008 3:37 pm ET

Democrats just like Americans vote on a set of VALUES, not anger. Republicans and Democrats have UNIQUE values and anyone that "flips" overnight to "prove a point" are not acting on their values or their best interest.

Human Priorities should be: Values > Illustrating a point

Statements like the following are not real "Democrats" –
"ability to turn lifelong Democrats like us into McCain supporters overnight.”" This person hasn't really thought about what values or principals are at stake.

Sheila   August 25th, 2008 3:37 pm ET

Cynthia Ruccia was never a life long democrat. If she had been she could NEVER fix her mouth to say she was going to vote for John McCain. The policies of the Republican party no way measure up to the policy positions taken by the Democratic party. So vote for McCain and get 4 more years of Bush.

So stop shuting you were a Hillary supporter… No real supporter of Hillary Clinton or life long democrate would dare cast a ballot for John McCain. Hillary and all true democrats are for the ideals of the Democratic party no matter who is carrying the torch.

It's funny how Carly seems to be an expert on what Hillary is feeling. I am so sick of the GOP playing to the fears of the American public. You would think we would learn something.

I'm very suprised by the media, if you scrutinized McCain half as much as you do Obama this thing would be over. Please start paying attention to the fact he has no plan other then to make out Barack to be the boogieman. Is this really what the country deserves or is it just better news – in your opinion?
This thing shouldn't even be close but when most of the people come to you for information and all you do is is play attack ad after attack ad – it's the same as McCain constantly saying Obama is going to raise your taxes (not true either) eventually they are going to believe what you are telling them. You do have a responsability here you know CNN!

rhoward   August 25th, 2008 3:31 pm ET

John in Ohio   August 25th, 2008 3:31 pm ET

I would say "I wish Hillary's supporters would listen to her", but I know that Hillary's actual supporters really are listening to her. They don't get a lot of airtime in the media because they don't support the "Democrats Divided" narrative that the media is shoving down our throats, but you see a few things from them here and there. I know for a fact that Clinton delegates have been trying to get face time and interview time with news networks in Denver so they can show their support for Obama, and they are getting shut down by the media.

CNN has a narrative they're pushing, and any comments that counter that narrative get censored. CNN does not want to see anything that counters the "DEMOCRATS ARE DIVIDED! Hillary Dems voting for McCain!" narrative that they are shoving down our throats. Blogs are closed to new posts in minutes because too many people are seeing through the smokescreen. Notice how the pro-narrative story, closed to comments, has been on the top of the ticker list for hours, even after being closed to comments, so it is the first thing you see.

And you can ask anybody from HP about Carly Fiorina's credibility.

Billy   August 25th, 2008 3:29 pm ET

McCain has masterfully used Clinton's supporters to full effect. Unbelievably, some will actually vote for him before they realize he stands for everything they oppose.

McCain's great hope is that Clinton's supporters will let emotion get the best of them.

Well done, McCain!

Thomas L. Mullins   August 25th, 2008 3:29 pm ET

Why would a democrat vote for McCain? I understand the Clinton supporters disappointment but I can't understand why they feel so angry at Obama – she lost he won, now it is time to vote for what you believe in. Look at the issues and you will see that there is not that much difference between Clinton and Obama where as there is a lot of difference between Clinton and McCain. I just don't get it! It seems to me that it is not about experience but about disappointment and anger. Don't let yourself be manipulated by the Republicans.

Listen Up...   August 25th, 2008 3:29 pm ET

HRC SUPPORTERS TAKE NOTE: Many of Hillary's original delegates are upset about the roll call and hate being called out like this. This may just be a way to give her the token catharsis that she feels "entitled" to, and not put too many other people on the spot.

Jim   August 25th, 2008 3:28 pm ET

The "other half of the Democrats" got their way and their man is in place. Now we know that Obama never got a real "bounce" in the polls back in June and today he is falling steadily in the polls so that John McCain is even with him. But the real campaign has yet to begin with all of its difficulties!

Hillary and Bill as well as Hillary's supporters knew that this was going to turn out this way and the worst is yet to come for the Dems in November!

r sisk, nevada   August 25th, 2008 3:28 pm ET

I think Obama may have lost the election by not choosing Clinton as his running mate. Unfortunately, that one third of Clinton supporters would have voted for Obama. I am a lifelong Democrat and wanted Clinton. I will support Obama but I can't help but feel he has dug his own grave here. Biden brings experience with foreign affairs but not much else as Deleware is a Democratic stronghold. Clinton would have provided not only great experience but 18,000,000 votes.

Stupid move, Obama. I am thinking McCain is feeling a great sense of relief.

Brian, OR   August 25th, 2008 3:27 pm ET

Obama needs to go hard and deep about McCains character!

He needs a new add now about how McCain degrades and disrespects women.

1. Calling his wife the "C" word!

2. Wanting his wife to go topless at the Buffalo Chip Contest!

3. How women should only speak if spoken to!

4. How women do not deserve the right to choose!

5. Laughing when someone in New Hampshire ask McWife-beater how do we beet the B%#&h! The questioner was referring to Hillary Clinton

6. How McNo-women allowed; will not let Cindy speak at the Retughlican Convention, you know the meeting of all the top Crime Family’s in United States in Minnesota next week!

Hillary supporters have been categorized as PUMA's – an unintended but accurate acronym for Propping Up McCain Administration. Because the difference between Obama and Hillary is so minute on so many of the issues that they have debated, it speaks volumes about the integrity of all of the Hillary supporters who've turned on their party because their candidate lost the primary. They don't really care about the issues, they care about putting a woman in a pantsuit into office. The problem for the Democratic party is the incredible amount of power these people wield, and their inability to wield it responsibly – i.e., vote on the issues, not on their emotions. Sad day to be a Democrat.

McCain will only win those supporter back that kept Hillary in the race only to create this mess. No true Democrat would ever vote for McCain. In addition to his many changes on positions he once held, his recent attack ads should be evident that he is a liar to all voters.

Bruce   August 25th, 2008 3:20 pm ET

What ever happened to “REPORTING THE FACTS”? There was a time when lies and untruths were reported as being lies and untruths, those days are long gone. Now all we get spewed at us from FOX and CNN are regurgitated LIES that are presented as if they are truth. Both Fox and CNN have gone out of their way to provide FREE political advertising for one of the parties by endlessly replaying the adds propagating the distribution of the LIES.

Once there were real journalists that reported the facts, now we have willing dupes that seek to invent sensational stories out of every scrap of innuendo. Now every talking head on TV thinks they know more than the people that they are supposed to be reporting about.

How interesting the turns of events were on the 21th of August and none of the major news outlets noted it.
John McCain has touted his foreign Policy experience and awareness from the beginning of his campaigning while at the same time tried to categorize Senator Obama as inexperienced and lacked judgment.
John McCain has also touted Senator Obama as an elitist.
John McCain self-admittedly stated he knew very little about the economy.
John McCain called Senator Obama inexperienced because of Obama’s reaction to the Georgian crisis.
John McCain has stated that he is a maverick and fights against Washington insiders.
Well on 21 August 2008 John McCain failed on all of his points.
John McCain has been calling Senator Obama irresponsible about Obama’s willingness to set a timetable for US troop removal in Iraq. On 21 August 2008 the Bush administration along with the Iraqi government has signed the first phased timetable agreement for US troop removal of Iraq. John McCain is now 100% wrong in his position to continue fighting a war that both America and Iraq wants to end.
Also on 21 August 2008, the US military has issued a notification that there will be 11,000 more troops sent to Afghanistan. This is the follow-up to Senator Obama’s push for troop increase in Afghanistan that he has been making for month. This also follows John McCain’s error in judgment that Afghanistan did not need any help. A supplemental note to that is John McCain stated Senator Obama was wrong for wanting to curtail troops from Iraq to Afghanistan because the US had plenty of available force to deploy to Afghanistan. However, the top military official Admiral Mullen stated that the military had no spare troops to deploy anywhere. Once again John McCain is wrong.
John McCain has been trying to label Senator Obama as an elitist. Senator Obama has one home (which he purchased at a sweet deal that some find questionable – 1.5 million estimated value). John McCain has at least seven homes of which he did not know (estimated total value of 13 million dollars). John McCain jokingly said (so he wants us to believe) that in America you are rich when you make at least 5 million dollars. Senator Obama said 250,000 dollars per income is a good start, the national average income hovers around 31,000 per year. So now who is the elitist?
During the start of the Russian-Georgian conflict, John McCain came out publicly with a detailed counter attack strategy for the Russian aggression in Georgia. Senator Obama stated his position and left it there. John McCain accused Senator Obama of being out of touch in America’s foreign policies because he did not attack Russia. Well John McCain forgot he was not the President of the US when he made his bullish statements, then the Georgian President called him out but John McCain did nothing. Whose judgment was best, Obama who allowed the President of the US to do the President’s job, or John McCain who made promises he could not support?
John McCain on the economy – John McCain touts that he has fought big oil his entire career. It seems that every other day he is posing and campaigning in an oil field, rid, or platform. John McCain talks about drilling now, even after admitting that the best scenario is improved psychological confidence (and 200,000 barrels per day added to the global pool in five to ten years). Even if we increase the supply by 5 million barrels per day, oil will still be sold at market price.
John McCain still fails to rid his campaign of the lobbyists he claims to have fought for the last 26 years as a public servant (a very loose use of this description). The once favorable label of maverick has long left John McCain. The only thing maverick about him is that his has more Bush cronies in his camp than Bush originally had.
After all these failures of John McCain, one has to ask himself what can John McCain for America. Anyone seriously considering voting for John McCain needs to himself why. Is it because Senator Obama is that bad or is John McCain that safe?

Freida, NYC   August 25th, 2008 3:20 pm ET

I am an ex-democrat, who still supports Hillary. If no Hillary then McCain gets my vote.

John B. From New Hampshire   August 25th, 2008 3:20 pm ET

hey Carly,
not sure if you got the memo, but the republican party is not united under McCain either. Allot of right wing conservatives will not go for him. you may want to focus on taking potential voters from Bob Barr instead of hillary backers. Most of these PUMAS stink of RNC people anyhow. I love how everything democratic falls in obama's lap. hillary lost because of hillary, no one else! It's like a 5 year old to blame others for things you had control over. Just look at what the RNC is using now… quotes from hillary against obama. The whole Kitchen sink makes you all look pretty stupid. Have a nice day!

Rob   August 25th, 2008 3:19 pm ET

How tragic. The desperate GOP is wooing the Puma nuts who hate McBush but are going to vote for him. McClueless thinks PUMAS support him when in actuality they expect him to be worse than Bush.
This of course will allow a Hillary come back try in 2012. What a sorry group of Pumablicans, or Repumacans.

Obama '08   August 25th, 2008 3:19 pm ET

There is no unity problem. More than half of the "PUMA" posters are Repuglicans just trying to create a division where there is none. They do this (1) because that is the only way their lame candidates can win, and (2) because they have no issues that the American people actually support! A voting record of 95% in support of this president is all you need to know about Songbird McCain.

Clinton supporters are pro-choice (McCain is not), they are pro-feminism (McCain is not). Issue after issue, Clinton and McCain have OPPOSING view points. If you really are a disaffected Clinton supporter who is mad at Obama, then vote Green. That way at least you would be showing some integrity and you would be voting for your own self-interest. You would be voting for policies that you actually believe in and support. But if you vote for McCain, then as a self-loathing hypocrite, you get what you deserve.

Jan Illinois   August 25th, 2008 3:19 pm ET

Yes she was right, Yes Biden was right and yes McCain is right, he does not have the expierience to be the president just yet, not saying that he's not good enough, he is.

anonmouys   August 25th, 2008 3:19 pm ET

mccain its not going to work this time

TonyS   August 25th, 2008 3:18 pm ET

Good for McCain. Now if the Democrats would try to reach out to disaffected Republicans, we might have something good going.

DMD, New York   August 25th, 2008 3:18 pm ET

I just read on MSNBC.com that Hillary and Obama are still working on how the roll call will be during this convention and quite frankly I am utterly appalled! Will absolutely no one let Hillary finish anything!!??! They want a limited roll call, allowing only SOME delegates to vote for Hillary and STOP the roll call when, perhaps, New York State is called to cast their delegate votes and then have Hillary delcaring the votes unamiously (sp?) go to Obama. Are the Obama people so afraid of Hillary that they have to stop short the roll call? Do they really really believe to let the roll call end when all of our states are called that Hillary would have enough delegate votes to steal the nomination from Obama? No, no, no, I cannot in all of my entire being find a reason why to cast a vote for Obama. What a disgrace.

Carmon Minneapolis MN   August 25th, 2008 3:18 pm ET

C'mon Clinton people are you really that dumb, He does not give a rats you know what about you.

Anonymous   August 25th, 2008 3:17 pm ET

Does anyone really believe these are disaffected Clinton supporters and not RNC operatives?

This is the best McCain can do – poach the opposition's supporters?

McCain isn't fit to be on the condo board of Del Boca Vista, Phase Three.

RDS   August 25th, 2008 3:17 pm ET

Now they are concerned with women's issues. They are clearly playing the Hillary supporters. Hillary herself knew months ago that she would not be the VP b/c she and Bill did not want to release their financial records unless they had a 100% guarantee that she would get the spot. I thinks it's sad that the republicans are playing on these womens emotions. I hope they wisen up before it's too late!

Taniel   August 25th, 2008 3:16 pm ET

Lots of polls today bring good news to Obama. Zogby just updated its online polls and gives leads of 8% and more to Obama in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Mexico… In more traditional surveys, Obama leads in Colorado but it's tied in MI, OH and VA. (Full roundup of all the numbers available here.)

sety   August 25th, 2008 3:16 pm ET

I have come to conclusion that the reason why Senator Clinton supporters are not supporting Senator Obama is not because Senator Hillary was not elected, for them to be supporting McCain shows that it has to do with racism, if only they can be honest with themselves.

Proud American   August 25th, 2008 3:16 pm ET

What a joke McCain is!

Brenda   August 25th, 2008 3:16 pm ET

CRY CRY BUT IF YOU VOTE MCSAME YOU WILL BE HURT SO HARD YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT..AND ALL THAT BECAUSE YOU ARE A BUNCH OF NUTS

sharon walker   August 25th, 2008 3:16 pm ET

Dear Friends:
In the interest and preservation of the Catholic Church and all religions, I ask the question Will Joe Biden get excammunicated for being on the ticket of Obama when he and his supposed Catholic spouse supports the disection, mutilation, sucking out of the brains, cutting up and disecting the little tiny feet and hands, the heart, the soal of babies. Little boys and girls, acts of which are murder, that some are beaten to death and out of the womb, some result in the savage mutilation of the woman's insides never to be able to bear a child again. Genocide! For by race it is also eliminating the number of caucasian, latino, asian, Russian, All European, Jewish, Arabs, Indians, Africans. Senator Obamas beer sold for money and profit, leads to drunkeness, driving, murder, rape, abortion, and in Africa where it is made the enslvement of cheap labor where water is so precious.

Why is not the Catholic Priests, Bishops, Cardinals, Pope, hospitals and others speaking out? It is a religious constitutional right to protect the womb the child.

Jesus is our example and Mary herself. For the sake of our children please send this to all who may benefit the world over. Biden is supposedly a catholic? How do we explain this to children? Drugs, sex, rape, abortion, Beer.

It is now or never to make this statement world wide. More send to your Cardinal, Bishop, Pope, Priest. I did!

Michelle Obama Ya lets all pitch the devil fork together in an unborn child. Fool!

Abby   August 25th, 2008 3:15 pm ET

If she had won, they would have humiliated and destroyed her . Please dont be fooled. Please don’t be used.

Shari, NY   August 25th, 2008 3:15 pm ET

Even though your ideals contrast hers you try woo a member of the other party beause you are aware of her following. You have run out of campaign ideas so you resort to being a user.

Anonymous   August 25th, 2008 3:15 pm ET

Well, the four of you make quite formidible opposition.

Nikki, Florida   August 25th, 2008 3:15 pm ET

Why can't people vote FOR someone instead of AGAINST someone…if that were the case, McCain would NEVER be the choice

Mike   August 25th, 2008 3:15 pm ET

This is excellent. Republicans already represent the greedy crooks and hate mongers. Now the Democrats can really cleanse the party by sending the lunatic Pumaniacs to the GOP. The Democrats are the clear choice for 2008.

jos-bam   August 25th, 2008 3:14 pm ET

ANd Hillary is not saying anything. She endorses all these bad attacks against Obama.
she wants Obma too loose,so she can be candidate in 2012.Bet let me be clear.IF Obama looses the election because of you stupid Hillary supporters and Puma ,Obama suppporters and black people in america will never vote fot Hillary in 2012.ANd the republican will rule America for centuries.Stupid Hillary supporters,Is it what you want ????? Obama never stole the nomination fromHillary. He deserved his victory.Even if michigan ad Florida were counted,Obama would be ahead …hillary is not a queen. She has lost and that is her responsabillity to stop her supporters, but will she do that ? It seems no ,even if she is says she will release her delegates…Just stupidity and appearance !!!!

Cynthia   August 25th, 2008 3:14 pm ET

Its up to the Hilliary Clinton supporters to buy into the hype of the McCain camp and I'm sure they are a whole lot smarter than that. At least I hope that they are.

Tom Eyemdaman   August 25th, 2008 3:14 pm ET

Hop aboard the McCain train – it has room enough for all those that don't buy into the Obama cult. For those people that want real, sustainable change will vote for John McCain.

McCain 08

Abby   August 25th, 2008 3:14 pm ET

Dear Angry Clinton backers,

You are killing what little chance Hillary had of future presidency by angering the democratic base. The more you sabotage Obama and divide the party, the less likely it is that Hillary will EVER be nominated. She’s going to need African Americans and other obama backers in the future if she is ever to have a chance.

Use your heads please. and Vote againt theman who has ALWAYS voted againt women, McCain.

Obama 08:60 year old, white, female   August 25th, 2008 3:13 pm ET

…and with these constant blogs about McCain's efforts and publishing poll results with a 7.5 margin of error on wonders if CNN isn't trying to help him.

Ann   August 25th, 2008 3:13 pm ET

I am not voting for Obama but there is no way that I would ever vote for John McSame. I am not voting in November. I am tired of voting for the 'lesser of two evils'. I want to vote for a leader. Something the USA has not had in a very long time,

Barr '08   August 25th, 2008 3:13 pm ET

PUMA = BUSH = MCCAIN

Paul   August 25th, 2008 3:13 pm ET

Not surprising!!
Not relevant!!

OBAMA/BIDEN 2008!!!!

Charlotte   August 25th, 2008 3:11 pm ET

Wow, I never knew the Clintons were so powerful. They have clout that is for sure, but the power to cost Obama the election? He is doing and has done a pretty good job of that all by himself. I get the impression he is tired of this whole process. Not as easy a run for POTUS, as State Senator or US Senator is it? The Obama-bots want to blame the Clintons everytime Obama flubs up. They are expected to babysit this guy? Teach him how to eat with a spoon rather then his fingers? They must bow and scrape for him? Hillary has bent over backwards to support him, I love the Clintons, but I don't like or trust Obama, and sure don't trust Michelle..I will write Hillarys' name on my ballot and let the chips fall where they may.
