Obama will accept his party's nomination at Invesco field, home of the Denver Broncos.

(CNN)–In addition to the acceptance speech he'll give from Denver's Invesco Field Thursday evening, presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama will also make a live appearance via satellite to offer a few remarks Monday night at the conclusion of wife Michelle's speech.

Watch: A preview of the Democratic National Convention

In an e-mail to the campaign's traveling press Sunday night, spokeswoman Jen Psaki also noted that Obama will watch his wife's speech from Kansas City, Missouri, where he's scheduled to campaign the following day.

Psaki said the remarks he'll give will be "brief."

Good i hope he lets the world know that McCain will restart the Clod War or better yet WW3.

Janet   August 25th, 2008 11:51 am ET

Of course, he'll give a speech after his wife's. He's a showboater. BTW, if I were Hillary, I wouldn't believe any promise of a job offer before the election. One thing we do know about Obama is how often he "refines" his stance.

Rachelraye- MD   August 25th, 2008 11:46 am ET

Just reading some of these comments makes me wonder how people can actually look at themselves in the mirror. The prejudices of some are just a little to much to take. This world isn't going to last forever and you will be judge at the end of your life. You better take a good long look at yourselves and wonder where will you spend eternity. This country has suffer enough with a person who doesn't care about what he says or what he does. If you want to continue to suffer then feel free to vote for McCain. You better believe if Hillary would have won the election I wouldn't think twice about not voting for her. A vote for McCain is just going to make me and my family suffer a while longer.

CNN, keep manufacturing news to sell airtime. This is getting really old. I bet you, you next ticker item will have Hillary in it.

This event was billed as a way the average voter could be a part of Obama's nomination. It will be interesting to see if a stadium full of celebrities is what Obama presents as average voters. The culture of corruption in full view, live on TV..

Pick Me! Pick Me!   August 25th, 2008 11:31 am ET

I just took the CNN poll on how much of the DNC Convention are you going to watch. The results are disturbing. How can anyone make a educated choice in a candidate if they (by choice) choose not to watch any of the Convention? Unlike the 56% of those uneducated by choice, who are not going to watch the DNC Convention, I will be watching both the Democrat AND the Republican Convention. I cannot afford not to.

Obama is a good person and will make a great President.

The GOP is trying to paint him as this horrilbe monster by making false accusations and trying to tie him to anyone they can. This is what they have done in 200 and 2004 and look at the damage that was done by election Bush twice.

Don't believe the GOP lies if you want America to get back on track and restore it's reputation that the Bush/Cheney administration has greatly damaged.

Denise   August 25th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Obama in 08!

Michael   August 25th, 2008 11:22 am ET

He just can't wait until Thursday to hear himself talk. He loves to give a speech and take in the adulation of the crowd. He has said so on several occasions. That is what he is all about, soaking up the glory with nothing to offer in return. Wonder how he will react when a chorus of boos will dampen the cheers?

Carol   August 25th, 2008 11:17 am ET

I can honestly say that in all the years I have been a registered voter, I have never been so dissapointed by the choice put forward as I have been in Obama.

I am sickened by the video out today showing a Hillary supporter being verbally abused by a delegate in the name of supporting Obama. Are we not in America? Are we not allowed to express our views and stand on the street with a sign supporting our choice?
Isnt that what this great Country is about?

Hillary supporters have been treated like a herd of cattle that should all be rounded up and put into Obama's camp. We should just go quietly and calmly, just follow the line. I dont think so. I live in America, land of the free, home of the brave. This Country is all about the freedom of supporting who you believe to be the best candidate. The fact that these basic principals are already being treaded upon in the name of Obama goes a long way as to why I will vote across party in this election.

MARYANN Oswego IL   August 25th, 2008 11:17 am ET

Who Cares!…I will only watch the Kennedy part of Monday night in hope of seeing memories of John and Robert…I will watch Hillary on Tuesday night in hopes of seeing a great speech by a great AMERICAN woman. I will also watch President William J Clinton on wednesday night. Here is a true American who was trashed by the Chicago Obama maniacs. Bill Clinton has BEATEN the Republicans twice….How dare anybody in the Obama camp not give him a STARRING role…..Obama is all about himself…I am not an old white haired woman…I am not a racist !!!!! I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA … He destroyed the DEMOCRATIC party …….The DNC knows now that the ticket should have been Hillary Clinton/ Barack Obama Obama has done nothing for any part of Illinois except forget about us.

Jan   August 25th, 2008 11:14 am ET

Will Obama disregard Kennedy's sleazy past -while expounding on the failure of McCain's 1st marriage? Dems are such low-life politicians! Suddenly, Ted Kennedy is a patron saint? I guess Obama supporters are too young to know his backgroung of dirty politics.

Sorry for Kennedy's illiness - but no thanks for giving us Obama Mr. Kennedy. You should have backed Hillary. Same goes for the dem. party. You will all be sorry if Obama gets in. We will be wishing we had Bush back and I never thought I would say that.

Marc PDX   August 25th, 2008 11:04 am ET

I bet there's far more square footage of mirror in the Obama home than in most American households. Obama seems to have just a touch of narcissism.

bryen   August 25th, 2008 11:04 am ET

He managed to shake things up by ensuring he gets a bigger audience outside the convention at the stadium. Was this still not enough? All Obama is doing is reinforcing the perception by those who view him as a showboater intent on making himself a rock star rather than a dignified statesman.

Joe   August 25th, 2008 11:03 am ET

I'd like to know who is paying for the additional security of this since Obama is taking it away from the already secured convention? It's been reported that the Secret Service, the FBI and the local police are responsible for this over glorified event at the stadium does that mean it's coming out of the taxpayer's money and not the DNC? CNN please look into this and report on it!

Venus   August 25th, 2008 11:02 am ET

Go Obama and Dems!

Too bad the Republicans and their stupid voters have nothing nice to say about McSame!!! I know… it hurts doesn't it?

Obama/Biden!

Marc PDX   August 25th, 2008 11:02 am ET

I wish I was in Denver so I could go to the big show at the stadium. Maybe not as big as the opening ceremonies in Beijing but pretty big.

Raymond Duke   August 25th, 2008 10:58 am ET

He can give all the speeches he wants to. I will not be watching . When Hillary Clinton was shafted by the democrat leadership in cohots with Obama i quite listening. I am voting for change and hope. I am voting for John McCain.

Lisa B.   August 25th, 2008 10:58 am ET

If Obama expects to win the support of Clinton backers, he needs to speak directly to them in his speech. In fact, I would like to see him give her something that is near and dear to her heart: health care. If he puts her in charge of health care or extends some other olive branch, I could vote for him.

beverly   August 25th, 2008 10:57 am ET

Of course his comments will be brief. He has nothing to say. He is now trying to figure out why he is tied with McCain. Guess he has a lot of work to do. No matter there are a lot of voters like me who supported Hillary who is way smarter than him. He listened too closely to Caroline and Ted Kennedy now it will cost him the election.

CJ   August 25th, 2008 10:53 am ET

I can't bring myself to get past the thought of having a President with a middle Eastern name representing America. Are the American people not aware that we are at war in the Middle East and that the 911 terrorists were Middle Eastern? Wasn't Barrack Obama's real name changed from an American name to a muslim name? Why would he shed his birth name for a name that is so offensive?

John   August 25th, 2008 10:50 am ET

Socialism would wreck our medical community. You think your emergency room wait is long NOW??? Everything should be private: schools, health care, keep the government from controlling EVERYTHING.

HeHasTo   August 25th, 2008 10:50 am ET

He cannot miss an opportunity to talk and be seen…….and he will need to clean up after her becuase she's sure to say something crazy.

Matt   August 25th, 2008 10:48 am ET

I wonder what their plan B is if it rains or a tornado decides to cross paths with the stadium? Again, Obama overplayed his hands. Bigger is not always better! But I wouldn't want him to take this advice. Please, keep up with the extravagance and over staged concert theme. Its working out so well for Obama so far :)

Faith Pa   August 25th, 2008 10:48 am ET

The only statement in you narrativge that has any weight is"His remarks will be brief". They can not be long because he really has nothiing to say right now because the DNC is going to keep editing his speech until he looses in November. I am a Hilary democrat and will vote independent this November.

Mike, Syracuse, NY   August 25th, 2008 10:46 am ET

Sherry, Atlanta   August 25th, 2008 10:46 am ET

As of today, BILL CLINTON IS STILL WHINNING! I hope Senator Obama will resend the Invitation to the Clinton's - to speak at the Convention. The Clinton's are still trying to divide the Party. I personally will NEVER vote for a Clinton for anything. They have shown TOTAL IMMATURIY, during this process.

I have this unshakeable sinking feeling that hope may be lost for us Dems come Nov. There is just too much in-fighting. This nonsense between Hillary backers and the rest is going to ruin the Dem chances. Its unfortunate too. She's a great leader and if she were the nominee I would have voted for her whole heartedly but it wasn't to be. Unfortunately there are too many that just can't seem to get past this and would rather vote against their own ideals than suck it up and vote for Barack. And I'm not pointing fingers and saying its all the Clinton's fault either. Too bad too because my gut tells me that if BO's supporters (don't forget there were just as many of them as HRC supporters) and the DNC feel in any way that she played a part in us losing in Nov. her political career will be over. And unfortunately private citizens don't get to be president, at least not as the system works now. Love it or hate it, thats just the way she goes.

If Hillary had run a differant type campaign, she would now be the candidate for president. She ran against an unknown black man with a funny name who made beautiful speaches. All she had to do was ignore him and not mention his name ever. She or her campaign managers decided to concentrate on Obama and instead of what she could do as president, she spent time saying what Obama could not do.
In America, we always pull for the under dog. If two teams are playing a game and neither one is our own personal favorite , we will always pull for the under dog.
Now you Hillary die hards, you are unhappy Obama did not choose her for his running mate. Just watch all the republican propaganda against Obama.THEY ARE USING HILLARY'S SPEACHES TO DEFEAT OBAMA!!!!!!!!!! How could Obama possibly use her as a running mate? It would like carrying a rattle snake in your back pocket even though it has already bitten you once

Tom Eyemdaman   August 25th, 2008 10:08 am ET

Obama made a good statement recently. He asked everyone to get to know and understand him. Please take his advice and get to know him, and more importantly get to know his policies before it's too late.

Understand what his policies will do to this economy. Understand what his foreign policy will do to our national security. Understand what he stands for before it's too late. Get to know his voting record - it represents the man.

Educate yourselves.
