Hillary Clinton backers meet at the RNC sponsored Hillary Happy Hour in Denver.

DENVER, Colorado (CNN) — The last place Kathy Archuleta could have ever imagined she'd spend the first night of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado, was at a happy hour sponsored by the Republican Party.

But the 54-year-old Democrat joined several other Hillary Clinton supporters, along with volunteers and officials from John McCain's campaign, at a Happy Hour for Hillary.

The event, sponsored by the Republican National Committee and approved by the McCain campaign, was a chance for McCain and Clinton supporters to come together for one cause: their opposition to Barack Obama's candidacy.

"Four years ago, if you said we'd be at a Hillary happy hour at the DNC, I would have called you crazy. But today is a great opportunity for people who … agree that Sen. Barack Obama doesn't have the experience to be president of the United States," said McCain campaign regional communications director Tom Kise.

As Michelle Obama was delivering her "One Nation" unity speech on the convention floor several blocks away, more than 100 people gathered at the Paramount Café in downtown Denver.

In a side room, both groups of supporters discussed politics, sports and the convention while sipping cocktails and munching on tacos and a cheese spread.

But there was nothing unified for these Clinton supporters who walked across the aisle or, in this case, the cafe Monday night.

Archuleta, who hails from Denver, has been a registered Democrat all her life — until now.

"I'm a registered Republican … for the first time in my voting life," Archuleta said. "No Obama for me. I'm voting for John McCain."

Vote for McCain and vote to over-turn Roe. Vs. Wade

Why does CNN work so hard to magnify the numbers and significance of supposed Hillary supporters who would actually vote for John McCain?

Will, NJ   August 26th, 2008 8:26 pm ET

They're not Hillary supporters because Hillary supporters have already moved on. They're just republicans now, so why is anybody giving them any credence? Why no reporting on republican party divisions?

Amiawomanorman   August 26th, 2008 8:26 pm ET

These people are ridiculously childlike. The difference between Clinton and Obama is far far faaaar less than the difference between Obama and McCain or Clinton and McCain. Obama and Clinton are essentially the same about all the big issues. If you switch sides just because the candidate is different it means youre pulling a Paris Hilton. It means your shallow and youre voting for a personality rather than the issues. OK youre sad because a women is not gonna be elected a president but since either way its going to be a man then go back to voting for the issues. Just like theres a minimum age for voting there should be a minimum IQ as well.

Ilona Hussein Proud Canadian   August 26th, 2008 8:25 pm ET

I am beginning to think that these folks at McCain's HAPPY HOUR, are in fact McCain Republican PLANTS, no way do I believe that TRUE DEMOCRATS WOULD DESERT THEIR TRUE DEMOCRATIC BELIEFS………………….SORRY………..I DON'T BELIEVE THIS!

george from PA   August 26th, 2008 8:23 pm ET

These people were not going to vote for Barack Obama anyway. I could almost respect them if they said, like people in appalachia, they were not going to vote for him because he is black and they are comfortable with the possibility of a black man running the country. It is not about hillary clinton, barack obama, or any other democratic candidate. It's about changing the direction of the country, employing the unemployed, providing health care for the uninsured, social security, making sure people don't lose their homes. John McCain is not going to do any of that. If they want to vote for John McCain, I hope they or anone they know don't have any of the issues listed above. If they do, these people don't care about them.

Ilona Hussein Proud Canadian   August 26th, 2008 8:21 pm ET

I CANNOT BELIEVE THESE FOLKS! AND THESE PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PATRIOTIC? THEY ARE PREPARED TO THROW THEIR COUNTRY TO THE DOGS?

This is pure studpidity, plain and simple. Most of these mostly white woman who support HRC are pro-choice, and they are going to vote for McCain, a man who has clearly said he will appoint supreme court justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade? Not only that, but McCain, unlike Obama, does not stand up for equal pay for equal work. This does not make any sense. Not only that, but let me ask a simple but fundamental question: If the HRC woman supporters, most of whom are white, stab Obama in the back and kill his chances of being president by voting spitefully for McCain, do you think for one second that Black people are going to vote for HRC in 2012? Hell no. And do you think that any Democrat, including HRC, can win in this country without Black folks voting, when white people support Republicans by about 60%? Again, hell no. Bottom line, vote for Obama now and HRC still has a chance of being president in the future, or vote for McCain, infuriate Black folks, and see the Democratic party implode and lose presidential elections for an entire generation. And meanwhile, this wonderful country, founded in 1776, will continue is obvious decline in housing, health care, education, the enviroment, civil rights, etc., etc, until it is no more.

Jamie from San Francisco   August 26th, 2008 8:14 pm ET

If you don't vote for your party's candidate, SWITCH PARTIES! You're not a team player and I certainly don't want you on my team! If you don't like your boss, you quit. Or you figure out a way to make it tolerable and play the game to best of your abilities or you get fired. Have you ever fired your boss? NO. My choice: fire you, you're a liability.

Puh-lease! If voters are true Democrats, if they believe and support the Democratic platform….there is only ONE choice. Obama will be supported by ALL true Democrats. There will always be a small percentage of people who have difficulty making any decision…so they will wait for the last minute and vote for whomever those who are most influential in their lives tell them to vote. I was a Hillary supporter, but to jump the fence and go against everything the Democratic platform stands for and vote for McCain? You must be sniffin' glue! Dems will support Obama 100%!

Obama will make a great President, he represents a positive change for stagnant America. I see a coming of a new day for America, because Bush showed me how bad it can become and that to continue in his ways is utter madness for the country. McCain keeps throwing his military experience into the wind to see what sticks. For me experience gained over time in a broken system is no experience at all, unless you are coming with substantive changes. McCain embraces the Bush policies and will continue to destroy America and the world with their self serving doctrines. All this talk of experience is a smoke screen, because Bush is a half wit idiot at the helm of the most militarily powerful country in the world, but he was voted in twice. Those who use the mantra that Obama is not experienced enough carry that torch, because that is all they have and there is weak evidence of what they speak. Obama for PRESIDENT.

I don't know what these people stand for.
I guess they're OK with overturning Rowe v Wade, going to War with Iran (and therefore $10.00 a gallon gas), having the Chinese take over Detroit's big three, letting health insurers get away with even preexisting conditions (healthcare for the privilidged few) expanding the Republican Plutocracy and letting the Chinese finace it, and having a few more Thomases and Scalitos with their thumbs on the scales of justice.

If they believe they can give the election to McCain, and then put HRC in in 2012, they're forgetting there'll be a lot more than 18 miilion who who'll remember what they did.

It will be very, very, ugly

Tyler in Raleigh   August 26th, 2008 8:06 pm ET

Clinton women who say they will vote for McCain are either petty, racist or stupid.

1) You are petty that Clinton lost and will vote for anyone out of spite, even if it was George Bush again. It will destroy Roe v. Wade, lead to more war and ruin the economy… but who cares if it is the name of a vendetta.

2) They can not vote for an African-American and will vote for the "white guy" regardless of politics.

3) They don't get that McCain is pro-life, pro-oil, pro-war and pro-wealthy.

Im a Libertarian so I am not really happy with either choice, but the PUMA stance seems pointless to me. Good job there… destroy the party out of emotional pain… way to show progress.

tom   August 26th, 2008 8:05 pm ET

We are talking about Obama don't have the experience but should we just cancel the elections and give it to McCain what world are we living in?

If we thought that he had all the experience why did we not give it to him the first time he ran for president, and one other thing he claims he will get OBL well he should let his buddy George Bush know that why holding out on that critical info.

Tom   August 26th, 2008 8:04 pm ET

A vote for McCain is a vote for Bush/Cheney policies. Democratic voters claiming Obama isn't experienced enough only need to look back 8 years to see a completely inept governor and failed businessman that was elected to TWO TERMS and has proven to be the worst president of the modern era. 4 more years carrying on his policies with McCain and a hostile Congress is a recipe for sameness of the past 8. All the Bush/Cheney insiders will remain under McCain and the working poor will get the shaft again.

I will also vote for John McCain . Barack Obama has done a crappy job in this state and I will not be a part of his mindless speeches to be my President. My family all fell the same . That is the main reason why I won't vote for this man, the second is his supporters who degrade anyone who does not like this man . They are the most disgusting and vile people I have ever read on these blogs. My family have made it there mission to help keep this moron from ever being in the White House .

HAHAHA.

These 100 people (not 18 million) are sore losers and their pride was hurt when they came to Denver thinking there could have been more people. Good Luck PUMA.

One of THEM   August 26th, 2008 7:52 pm ET

I'm a Hillary supporter who isn't keen on Obama. I just don't like him, but he's going to be the Dem nominee. So, I have to make a second choice. Obama wasn't, and never will be, my first choice. But to think I share Hillary's Democratic values and could pick McCain as my second choice….heck no. Obama has to be our second choice. But don't ask us to love him. And don't call us racist because we don't. That will only drive us to our third choice. That's not McCain, either. Our third choice is to not vote at all.

WHAT A JOKE!   August 26th, 2008 7:52 pm ET

Please stop it with the "Although I supported Hillary Clinton, I'm now backing McCain because Obama doesn't have the experience to be President". Give me a break. Hillary Clinton didn't have the experience to be President either. Just admit that you are angry that a young black guy beat the Clintons. You weren't going to vote for him anyway. You'd rather ruin the country further than admit that you are racist and a complete fool.

This is not about experience. McCain's been a senator for 26 years. If he's presidential material why didn't he run years ago? Is McCain's experience supporting Bush 95% of the time, the kind of experience we need now? Hell no.

Just how much experience does one need to be President? What kind of experience? 2 years?5 years? 10 years? 20 years? Governor, senator, CEO, soldier. Someone give me the parameters. If Obama were white, you wouldn't be talking about his lack of experience. This country is going down the toilet in a big way because too many of it's citizens are gullible, lying, bigotted fools. They'd rather see their country run into the ground than vote for a black man who is perfectly capable of running this country despite having been involved in politics for some 20 years! No experience???? PLEEEEEEAAASE!!!!!

bill   August 26th, 2008 7:51 pm ET

The Clinton Supporters who are voting for McCain are just spoiled children.

How can anyone who supported Clinton and the things she supported even consider voting for McCain? It is just sour grapes.

So you would rather vote against your own best interest and that of the nation, just because you lost.

If Obama looses because the Clinton's tepid support, the Clinton will loose any power they have with the Democratic party.

Nick Wright   August 26th, 2008 7:51 pm ET

What?   August 26th, 2008 7:50 pm ET

All told, the seven properties at which the McCains can rest their weary heads after long days on the campaign trail are valued at nearly $14 million, according to two separate research documents obtained by RAW STORY…Average young adult?……..There's also the matter of the McCains' daughter, 23-year-old Meghan. While many 20-somethings are lucky if they get a car for a college graduation gift, Meghan's present for finishing at Columbia University was a $700,000 loft in a hip section of downtown Phoenix.
A GQ profile of Meghan McCain, whose only job at moment seems to be blogging on her father's behalf, described the loft's interior as looking "like a spaceship furnished by West Elm." Wooden block letters arranged above McCain's kitchen cabinets spell the word indulge.
One wonders if this is a lesson the young McCain learned from her parents, who, by the way, according to property records, paid for the condo in cash.

ANOTHER TOAST FOR THE MUTI MILLIONAIRS EVEN IF YOU ARE 23 YEARS OLD…………………….NOT THE AVERAGE FAMILY.

Anyone who voted for Hillary Clinton could not possibly vote for John McCain and claim that they were ever Democrats!!!!!!!!! You are disrespecting Hillary and everything she stands for by voting for an out of touch blowhard who can't get over the fact that we lost in Vietnam and has to play the sympathy card about being a POW every time he is confronted with any issue that he has no answer for and there are many of those. I understand being angry and disappointed that your candidate lost, but you are biting off your nose to spite your face if you vote for John McCain. He is an angry and dangerous neocon who is so out of touch that he does not even know how many homes he owns!!! Please, if you are a Hillary supporter, honor her and her legacy and vote for Barack Obama. The stakes are too high in this election and we cannot afford to elect John McCain.

How can these people really be against equality for everyone, fairness for all, educating our children to become all that they can be.

To harbor such hatred for someone who wants to have the world respect us again. Who wants the US to be the light of the world, the true beacon for freedom. Obama seems to try very hard to live the way Christ wanted us to live. These Hillary supporters seem to like the way the US is going and do not want anything to change, so they cry about voting for McCain.

It's all soooooo sad.

Morgan   August 26th, 2008 7:45 pm ET

Archuleta and everyone else who were Clinton supporters and are now naive enough to vote for McCain, are losers and quite simple minded. Obviously they do not care about womens rights, the economy, bringing our soldiers home from Iraq or any other issues that democrats are united behind!!! They are idiotic enough to rally behind a person and not a position!! Clinton and Obama's policies are inherently identical.. So it seems pretty clear that any Clinton supporter who will not vote for the democratic candidate, and will instead choose four more years of war and economic hardships, have deeper rooted issues against Obama than they would like to let on.

ONE OF YOUR TROOPS   August 26th, 2008 7:44 pm ET

Truth   August 26th, 2008 7:44 pm ET

What experience in foreign affairs does McCain have? Heartily endorsing invading Iraq under false pretenses? Saying we should stay up to 100 years? Making fun of Obama about the bin Laden in Pakistan remark, and then our govt. did that not less than 2 weeks later? Making fun of beefing up troops in Afghanistan until Bush decided several months later to do that? As Gen. Clark said, being a POW doesn't make you automatically a good commander in chief. Our country will be in a third war within the first year of his term if McCain is elected. What a bunch of fools the American people are..

Go ahead and help put McCain in the White House so that he can veto every bill the Democrats send to his desk. If the Democrats lose the election, we will blame you all. Furthermore, if Hillary Clinton ever runs again, I'm sure many of us won't forget about this.

I still haven't quite figured this out. How is voting for McCain NOT spitting in the face of everything that Hillary has ever worked for? How is this NOT the ultimate gesture of disrespect to Hillary?

Can a Hillary-supporter turned McCain-voter please explain to me in a rational manner how they justified this decision? I just can't wrap my mind around it.

One thing is quite obvious — Hillary does not have to sell herself to her audience as the Obama's do. Michelle spends most of her time trying to convince others that she loves America. One who truly loves America does not have to convince others, it is shown in his/her deeds and examples. Does she have a guilty conscience or is it just another Freudian slip? CNN has been so pro-Obama that it is sickening. Perhaps CNN can respond to the following: If 90% of the white voters voted for McCain in this elections, one rightly would conclude that race was an influential factor in deciding the vote. What if 90% of African-American voter voted for O'Bama would CNN conclude the race was an issue in deciding their vote? The race issue goes both ways.

They were never true Democrats to begin with.

A Woman In California For Obama   August 26th, 2008 7:38 pm ET

Disgraceful. Simply disgraceful.

Good riddance   August 26th, 2008 7:38 pm ET

It's already been proven that they're a bunch of unsophisticated dummies anyway.

mk   August 26th, 2008 7:37 pm ET

poor Hillary. These people are slapping her in the face by doing this.

CG   August 26th, 2008 7:37 pm ET

To all of the terribly misguided Clintonistas out there that attended this event: Please go ahead and join Joe Lieberman like the turncoats that you are and just be a Republican. Engaging in the cult of personality and/or sexism by clinging to Hillary's failed candidacy to the point where you vote against your own interests, means that you deserve John McCain and the party He's with. After the hurt feelings are over about your candidate not winning, it IS about policies and you folks are either too immature or too self-absorbed to accept this…just like a Republican.

john   August 26th, 2008 7:37 pm ET

100 people toasting mccain, roasting obama? wow thats soooooooooooo many…

CNN = McCNN now

John McCain now has McCNN in his pocket

Anthony   August 26th, 2008 7:37 pm ET

Under George Bush: the economy in near recession, housing foreclosure crisis, unemployment steadily rising, trillions spent over seas fighting a useless war, healthcare robbing you blind, and you want to vote for someone he endorses because Hillary lost???

This is not about Barack Obama. It's about your stubborn and idiotic mindset.

Lawrence for barack   August 26th, 2008 7:37 pm ET

something is wrong with the hillary supporters get a life

58 year old white woman   August 26th, 2008 7:36 pm ET

GET OVER YOURSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cindy   August 26th, 2008 7:36 pm ET

I am a registered democrat, have been all my life and I am almost 50. This November will be the first time I have voted Republican. Never thought I would. I would have gladly voted for Obama if I thought he actually won the primary. Hillary had 500,000 more votes than he did at the end. The only reason Obama got where he is because of all the super delegates running to his corner..hmm…wonder how much money changed hands for that to happen. Strange thing I always did like the color Red better than Blue!

Who cares, you weren't intending to vote for him anyway   August 26th, 2008 7:35 pm ET

They're either not Democrats or they just can't bring themselves to vote for an African-American no matter how intelligent or qualified he or she is. We don't need these type of people anyway. They belong with the Republican party. I just wish it could be arranged that it's only their children that are sent off to another needless war or this never ending war and they should be the only ones affected by tax cuts for the rich and the middle getting poorer. Oh, how I wish.
Just remember – what goes around, comes around.

Joann jackson   August 26th, 2008 7:34 pm ET

So, she does not care about democrats policies and is willing to accept Repubs policies that she completely disagrees with just because her favorite candidate lost in primary.

What a logic?

Or may be she just wanted an alcoholic beverage at Repub event and was faking repub.

Or it could be a Repub faking that she is not a democrat any longer and a repub instead.

Bull   August 26th, 2008 7:34 pm ET

Just becasue a person does want Obama does not make them a racist or not a "true Democrat to start with". Where do you people come up with this crap anyway. Obama was pushed down our throats from the start – never wanted him in the first place. The dem. party and the media did its crafty lousy job of making sure he got in – now deal with the consequences.

Help   August 26th, 2008 7:34 pm ET

Archuleta = turn coat.waaaa may canidate didn't win so I want the other party to win waaaa. I hope she enjoys it over there. They can keep her. The momentum is so scary they try to say this race is close poll any 1st time voter and they will let you know how big a win it will be. Thanks Archuleta people like you make our party unite. Keep up the good job!

J.L.   August 26th, 2008 7:33 pm ET

This is truly sad… if you're angry because Hillary didn't get the nomination (which I need to point out we know now much of the onus falls upon the way she ran her campaign and how she and her staff dropped the ball…) and you end up sitting out the election, that's understandable… don't agree with it, but again, it's understandable. But if you're angry because Hillary didn't get the nomination and you blame Obama and therefore to "get back" at him and the Democratic party by voting for John McCain is just simply stupid. Plain and simple. These "Democrats" that were at this Happy Hour for Hillary are misguided. All you have to do is look at the policies that McCain supports and those that Hillary supports. The disconnect there should be obvious…

In that case, it's not a matter of wanting to have the country head in a different direction that drives these folks. It's just a matter of being mad because their "team" didn't win… truly sad… especially if the Republican's take the White House this year and we continue down the path we've been going. And please don't want to hear any buyer's remorse a couple years down the line… and don't hold your breath expecting Hillary '12 since most likely Hillary won't get past the primaries in 2012 because people won't forget the conduct of the die-hard Hillary supporters in 2008 and how they lost the election for the Democrats…

Patrick   August 26th, 2008 7:32 pm ET

After McCain defeats Obama on November 4th,can Hillary finally say"I told you so."?

J. Sully   August 26th, 2008 7:32 pm ET

What a bunch of childish whiners. Go head and vote for McSame. HE's gonna lose anyway. Hillary supporters are like a bunch of three year olds. Don't they remember what went on in the white house. The Clintons left the white house in disgrace. These people are nuts.

Yes They Can   August 26th, 2008 7:31 pm ET

You know it's funny.

People today are far more knowledgible and sophisticated than they were 50 years ago. To see this, just think about how much more your children or grand children know than you knew at their age.

Yet in the late 1800's William Jennings Bryant, at AGE 36, was nominated to be president by his party. I would submit to you that at age 47 and 100 years later, United States Senator, Barack H. Obama does have the experience to be President.

Some folks will attribute their resistance to him to "experience". Sorry folks, historically that dog won't hunt.

Latina for obama(NJ)   August 26th, 2008 7:30 pm ET

PATHETIC!!
You are not true Hillary supportres…if you were, you would be supporting Obama right now!

Jim W.   August 26th, 2008 7:30 pm ET

All of you that are unhappy that Hillary is not the Democratic presidential nominee (or VP nominee) and are swinging to McCain just to show your displeasure, let me point out a few things. If John McCain gets elected because of your petty gripes that your person was not chosen, you'll get much more than you bargained for. It's more than just "we'll show you". You'll get more religious conservative judges on the Supreme Court. That means you'll probably lose Roe v. Wade, and any other female friendly decisions for the next 50 years. You'll lose environmental protections, workplace protections, protections from gender bias at work and elsewhere. You'll lose just about everything that you've fought for. But that's OK, because you'll be able to prove your petty point, that Hillary was the one you wanted. Oh well. I guess in the end, it will be worth it to you. This will prove another point – that you have more in common with the Republicans than just voting against Obama. You'll prove that you are selfish jerks that don't really care about where the country is going so long as you serve your own little purpose. I hope you choke on your idiocy.

Jim from New York   August 26th, 2008 7:30 pm ET

I can't take credit for this blog: I just found it on another story on CNN.com, from a person calling themselves, "REALITYCHECK":

Obama CANNOT WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION. He cannot pull in the center. He doesn't have the experience or record to show he can get things done. YOU PEOPLE will be the ones held responsible for throwing away the biggest cakewalk election in Democratic history by allowing the media and the DNC to throw democracy out the window in order to select an unelectable candidate. We will never forgive you or this party!

My sentiments exactly…I wish I could have been at the HRC Happy Hour to toast one for her…

donna   August 26th, 2008 7:29 pm ET

Is CNN serious. Abig headline and story on 100 people some of whom are obviously Republican?
CNN your petticoat is showing.

Andy   August 26th, 2008 7:29 pm ET

So what…if you were only casting your vote for a "woman" then you shouldn't even have a vote. There are so many issues that require intellience and investigation. Stop acting so childish and make an informed decision on the candidates. Personally, I think McCain is just too old and too involved with his unfortunate prisoner of war life. That was a LONG time ago and he and the rest of the Dems who will jump ship and put an old man in charge of this country need to enlighten themselves and realize what is really important here. A woman will be in the White House. The majority of the people just don't think it should be Hillary Clinton.

Re   August 26th, 2008 7:29 pm ET

These women are showing serious immaturity. This is why men say women can't be in charge. The Dem primary was very close because the two candidates shared similiar ideas. Yet some women will not vote Dem because of hurt feelings. To quote Charlie Brown, "Good Grief."

RandyPA   August 26th, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Obviously this woman was never a true Democrat to start with.

One more thing, those emails about you winning millions of dollars from Niger, don't believe them.

Bryan   August 26th, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Who cares. The truth is that a percentage of Hillary's supporters were not going to vote for a black man anyway. They can lie and say what they want.

leah WA   August 26th, 2008 7:27 pm ET

Hmmm!
If this was an opposite situation..

This headline would likely read “Angry Obama supporters toast McCain, roast Hillary Clinton…

When Hillary supporters will ever learn that McCain camp is nothing more than just an opportunist..

Well! if you like to be in the same situation as you are today for the next 4 years then vote McCain..

April in Texas   August 26th, 2008 7:25 pm ET

I would like to say that as a woman had Obama chosen Hillary he would have lost my vote. Obama chose Biden due to his background and how he hasnt allowed Washington to change his beliefs and way of life. I think it was a wise choice. Now for those planning on voting McCain, I truely dont understand why you even vote as it seems you vote for preference and not for policies. Obama and Clinton had such similar policy views but the only difference was one was old Washington (Hillary) and one was new Washington (Obama). I wonder if any of you have ever done community work as Obama did because if you had you would realize how much experience and knowledge you can get from that work. Womens issues are one of the largest differences between Obama and McCain which will pretty much halt for years many womens rights. If you plan to vote please do research instead of listening to others including me. Otherwise you are just voting cause your upset and please if you do don’t complain later if you dont like what you get.

Obama/Biden 08

Todd   August 26th, 2008 7:25 pm ET

Sorry lady, that just makes you an idiot.

Dready1rasta   August 26th, 2008 7:25 pm ET

By all means, vote for whom you want, but no complaining when your husbands, sons or grandsons are takem from you in McShame's war.
Not a single word because you will receive no sympathy for selling out your country because of spite.-Pathetic!

GET OVER IT!!

OBAMA ALL THE WAY!!!!!!

Mike G   August 26th, 2008 7:25 pm ET

If you ever truly supported Clinton and the issues that she fought for. A vote for McCain is a total slap in her face.

Go ahead and don't vote if you're so upset.

Ex-Republican for Obama   August 26th, 2008 7:23 pm ET

"more than 100 people gathered at the Paramount Café in downtown Denver"

Ummm, I'm not too up to date on my math…but is that close to the 18 million I keep hearing that were going to march on the convention? I'm still waiting to see all these 18 mil that everyone is quoting.. .

or maybe, just maybe…they are dillusional and these freaks have 'make believe friends" in their heads? Perhaps there really aren't 18mil that still cling on to the false notion that Hillary won?

Congrats on getting over 100 though….That's a HUGE showing (sarcasm included).

Nick - Arlington, VA   August 26th, 2008 7:22 pm ET

Bunch of angry people being used as tools by McCain who has nothing in common with Hillary on the issues. Good job. The right thing is being held prisoner cause a bunch of nut bags who can't get over it and stop being sore losers.

This woman, who has voted 100% Democrat for her entire voting life, 44 years, will happily, indeed gleefully, cast her vote for JOHN MC CAIN!!!

PAW, CA   August 26th, 2008 7:17 pm ET

Can these disgruntled HIllary supporters not see that the republicans are pandering to them?

PAW, CA   August 26th, 2008 7:15 pm ET

The only reason people get mad is because things didn't go the way they wanted them to…..
