I was glad to see Ted Kennedy and hear him speak. I don`t understand it when people continue to say they don`t know enough about the Obamas. I know what the problem is and you do to . He`s BLACK. GET OVER IT. He`s as intellegent as most people. If their skin was white there would not be a problem. This is 2008 act like it . I`m a senior citizen and I`m tired of the way we have to live While the rich get richer.Prices are rising but our pensions stay the same.Buy food or medicine. can`t do both.

I wish that they would show more of the PUMAs on interviews as they look like such totally clueless idiots each time.

Notably, all the PUMAs are "nobodies" in the sense of being anybody within the Democratic Party, and I'm sure by Friday they will all have hitched up their trailers, stocked up on smokes, and headed back to the boonies from whence they came.

To those Obama maniacs who are bashing Hillary supporters...

We don't like Obama. He is not deserving of the job of President of the US. He can be a governor, senator but you got to have a RECORD that we can look at to run for the biggest job in the nation. Sorry we believe that McCain is more worthy.

Please CNN, try posting something logically asking for unity in this country, instead of trying to stir the pot and create more ratings……

Michelle gave a very strong and compelling speech last night. As someone who knows his father went through much of the same things her father did, but never showed the aches and pains he had from working the physical labor he did right up until his last day, I respect what she said. I can also closely relate to what she said about him and about the only thing on his mind during all of that was hope for his children. He had a tough life, working six days a week for years in a factory, but would often tell me, somehow with a smile every time, that everything he did in life was worth it if he could be sure his children would have a better life then he had. That's part of the American dream. The heart and courage of this country and it's people.

As for Hillary, Irespect her for what she did, and what she's accomplished. That's what everyone in here should do. In the same breath, for those that are still angry with her not winning, the hatred gets yourself, and this country, no where. It only hurts all of us more and creates tension for so many people. For those that make negative comments toward her still, because you have never supported her, you do nothing but create tension between many people in this country also. The words of anger and hatred drive a spike between people in this country regardless of who you support (democratic, republican, independent, male, female, purple, green, etc.). We need to all be adults about this and remember that the people that all of this effects is our neighbors, our families, and ourselves. This is a time when so many of us have economic hardships that we must overcome. We all have a global competitive society that creates so many tensions within, and between, communities outside of this wonderful country. Yet, for some reason we as Americans continue to fight our own citizens and neighbors from within. We continue to raise animosity, anger, jealousy, and hatred toward one another and it continues to make us loose ground, and respect, in this world.

To everyone who is saying 'Hillary 2012' or 'Hillary 2016', and I respect that regardless of who I support, but if you ruin the election for Barack Obama this time around, it can be confidently said that she will have an amazingly difficult, possibly impossible, time being able to garner the needed votes next time the runs. Regardless of what may be right, there will be many people angry with her. Obama had 18+ million voters also and Hillary can not afford to disenfranchise those voters for any presidential campaign she may have in the future (the same as he can't disenfranchise her supporters).

Voting on revenge does NOTHING to help this country with the terrible state it's currently in, and her supporters will loose many of the political battles/stands they believe in if McCain wins because of their votes in November. You want to vote for someone who has almost all polar opposite beliefs then Clinton praised and believed in when she was running? You want to loose all of those battles, without even having a chance to fight them, with McCain in office. Did you really believe in what she said, she fought for, and she believed in, or did you believe in some idealogical image of her in office without any of what was behind it?

All that being said, anyone can understand a person being upset because their candidate did not win, but with some time for a breather and to think you must remember that some things are bigger then anyone of us individually. Remember if you vote for McCain you throw away the believes of Hillary, the 18 million that supported her, Obama and the 18 million that supported him, and hurt the future of this country. Are you willing to let your bitterness harm those many people (those close to you, those you believed in, those you love, etc.) and their beliefs?

You people are unreal. You just cannot accept that there are Democrats that are not buying what the Obamas are selling. You have to make up nasty comments, call anyone who disagrees with you unintelligent (typically with lots of typos in your post...) and other insulting remarks. Gee. I wonder why those of use who have questions about things like - oh - the fact that Hillary would have had the nom had Dean seated the full Florida delegation back when he should have instead of now????

There are PLENTY of lifelong registered Democrats who don't agree with the Obamas and your insulting childish behaivor is not going to change that. You are the ones who need to grow up with your really overused "yes we can" rhetoric. You remind me of other large groups of people rallying around charismatic speakers on the basis of their speaking ability.

Michelle was disingenous, particularly in her comment about Hillary given Michelle flat out stated she WOULD NOT vote for HIllary if she won the nomination. Yeah - that's party unit for you! Try hypocrisy.

I cannot believe that this country fell for Obama' who has no real experience all I can figure is must be his "carisma" that got him this far.
Hillary has knowledge, experience and substance. I am in mourning for my country. Unfortunatlly I am not alone and McCain will probably get elected.

Stop insulting Hillary by refusing to support Barack Obama.
The issues that Hillary Clinton has worked so tirelessly for--expanded access to healthcare, a woman's right to choose, the restoration of America's standing in the world--have been just as tirelessly opposed by John McCain and the GOP. If you refuse to support Obama in November you are standing in opposition to Hillary and thwarting her lifetime of hard work.
What's more, you will irreversibly damage her entire future. At BEST, Hillary will be seen as powerless and unable exercise leadership in regard to her supporters. At WORST, she will be seen as conniving to sabotage her own party at the most crucial political moment in a generation. Either way, her career will be over.
Could you live with that?

Did you really believe in what she said, she fought for, and she believed in, or did you believe in some idealogical image of her in office without any of what was behind it?

All that being said, anyone can understand a person being upset because their candidate did not win, but with some time for a breather and to think you must remember that some things are bigger then anyone of us individually. Remember if you vote for McCain you throw away the believes of Hillary, the 18 million that supported her, Obama and the 18 million that supported him, and hurt the future of this country. Are you willing to let your bitterness harm those many people (those close to you, those you believed in, those you love, etc.) and their beliefs?

its not surprising that the GOP is using the cheapest possible tactics.

3 AM call to McCain? LOL. Good luck finding him awake at 11 PM. if someone does manage to wake him up, he will be startled and go "omg, bomb? which country should we invade now?"

Thousands of lives lost in Iraq so these republicans can add more money to their retirement funds.

Just remember this before you vote republican -
Your tax $$ -> Iraq -> Halliburton -> GOP.

This comment board proves that die-hard Clinton supporters are a truly hateful group of people.

They probably didn't even listen to Michelle's speech, and have they been able to answer every single call that comes on their cell phone?

How was Michelle supposed to know it was Hillary calling? Unless she had Hillary's number programmed in.

I am an Obama supporter. I never supported Hillary, I don't like her and I don't trust her.

HOWEVER - in the past few weeks I have opened my eyes to the true media bias against Hillary. I never really saw it before, because I was in agreement with most of the criticism of her , but now I realize how blatently one-sided the coverage has been.

It's not Obama's fault, but this truly is an Obama love-fest by the media. It's getting sickening. Maybe I could just listen to the speeches at the convention, then turn it off when the commentary comes on.

Is it possible that Hillary is damaged goods?
How much damage has the "pumas" and their buds done to Hillary?
I sincerely doubt that I could vote for someone who has generated as much spite and hatred by losing.

The first day of the convention was well done. The message was what it was planned to be and what everybody perceived.

Now we can all be overly critical and tear the best laid plans to pieces, and we can all also offer supportive, diplomatic suggestions.

What I do not understand is, Why was Democratic Strategist, James Carville even in the picture since he was so critical. And I couldn't believe Anderson was right there with him. What the heck were they thinking or not.

Why would a Democratic Strategist openly piss on the parade, if he is a Democratic Party Supporter? Maybe he and Anderson will be all praise when they see Hillary tonight.

Dear Hillary Supporters,

For those of you full of so much hate and ignorance, believe that if she decides to run in 2012 or any other year, she will need Obama's supporters.

Throughout this campaign so many people were claiming they didn't know the Obama's. I didn't know him either; the point is you don't want to know them. Ignoranance can be overcame. This is a free country and Obama made his choice and the best man won both times. If Hillary would have won, Obama would not have been on the ticket. So, get a life and get over it. When Obama wins whether you like him or not he will still be your President and represent everyone.

Michelle gave a good speech, but it is JUST a speech that she practiced over and over and then read from a teleprompter. (words that someone else wrote)

Michelle and Barry: Mr. and Mrs. Teleprompter with cute kids that they exploit and deny it later.

The fact remains that Barack is still too green for the White House.
The choice of Biden as VP magnifies that.

Democrat for McCain "I may sound like a republican, but I'm just a democrat with something to loose."
_____________________________________________________
1. The word is LOSE!!

2. If you have confidence in Clinton, then you are betraying her by voting for McCain. Comparing policies to policies, Obama and Clinton are virtually identical. It's like Coke and Pepsi (slight differences, but still cola). If you don't like Obama's plan and policies, you weren't really a Clinton Supporter. You were just voting for her because of who she is and what she is.

There will be unity believe it or not. Hillary will make sure of that. Stop listening to the repugs trying to steer you in the direction of an outburst from her. The PUMAS that are not coming over are republicans. Its a setup.

Please "upon further review", get a life! This is why so many Hillary Clinton supporters can't get behind Barack Obama. The people in his camp and his followers are etremely mean spirited and can't just take a simple 'reach out' from Sen Clinton as anything other than genuine and anything other than gracious. You all go on the attack.

Kudos to the speech. If it was solely based on Michelle Obama's speech I would vote for Barack Obama. Not yet though. And kudos to Hillary Clinton for taking the high road.

Some where out there the media is trying to paint the Clintons as HORRIBLE people. Nice way to UNITE the party.

Remember Michelle is the angry, petulant figure who, during the primary campaign, said that she would "have to think long and hard before she could vote for Hillary Clinton". During the last few months when Michelle has been silent and barely visable, she has been undergoing an image make-over. She is now a product of all that slick training and the speech she read from the teleprompter was completely scripted for her and rehearsed repeatedly to make sure she could "sell" her new image. She is still the same angry woman we met a year ago, just repackaged to sell.

The media is making a circus out this........they are greatly exaggerating the PUMAs. Many of the "PUMAs" are just Republicans trying to hijack the election and the media is allowing them to do it.

I watched it all on Public TV so I was actually able to hear the presenters and thought they all did well. Gave me hope for our country. I am ready for unity. We need to get united, there is too much at stake. I would expect a gracious professionalism from both Hillary and Michelle and think we need to leave all the negative speculation to junior high kids and reality tv drama queens.

So, "Democrat for McCain", when you say that McCain will not change Roe v Wade, are you saying that McCain is a liar? Because I remember him saying that it would be a top priority appointing the most conservative judges to overturn Roe v Wade. Or was McCain just pandering to the religious right like Bush did, with no intention of keeping his promise?

Also, the only way that "McCain is Green" is if you mean that is green with envy of Obama's popularity. The only way his energy policy is green is if he's recently discovered green oil.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the DNC convention yesterday. Clinton has made it clear that she is standing behind Obama and the Dems. I will stand behind Obama too now that she has officially confirmed that she is not running for president.
